CPAC FOLLIES OF 2015

`
I wrote about the CPAC convention two years ago. There really isn't a hell of a lot to add as far as their 2015 shindig is concerned. Although the folks at CPAC claim that they are not affiliated with any one political party (Nudge! Nudge! Wink! Wink!) we all know whose bread they are buttering. If by this late stage in the game you're still unconvinced that the Republican party has lost its marbles, observing what transpired at this year's event is not going to change your mind, so you might as well not continue any further

The highlight of the week was Wisconsin governor Scott Walker. He stated (with a face as straight as a two-by-four) that, as president, dealing with the international threat posed by ISIS would be a relative cinch. You see, he faced down protesters at the state capital in Madison who were demanding a decent wage just to get by. That's right, campers, this fucking idiot compared the working men and women of his state to an international terrorist organization responsible for the deaths of thousands. Don'cha just love it?

But what was most revealing about the CPAC convention of 2016 was not the screaming extremism of the knuckleheads who attend events such as this, it was their reception of a man who is truly and undeniably one of their own: Jeb Bush might as well have been a streaker at the funeral of a spinster librarian. In spite of the busload of supporters that were hauled in by the Bush Mob in order to give Jeb a grand ovation, the air at the convention in Maryland was thick with fear and loathing as Bush took the podium to make his pitch. He reminded me of a Berlin Rabbi, circa 1936, trying to warm up the crowd at a Nuremberg rally. Try as he might, the poor bastard just couldn't reach these people. If it hadn't been so screamingly funny it would have been kind of sad.
`
I feel sort of sorry for Jeb. As it's been pointed out elsewhere, if the late Florida governor, Lawton Chiles, hadn't been so good at his job, Jeb could have easily defeated him in 1994 and been a sure thing for the GOP nomination in 2000. The fickle finger of fate is a cruel and unpredictable thing. Jeb's older brother, the one with the IQ of a moldy bag of rancid mangoes, won the governorship of the state of Texas the same year that poor old Jebbie lost in Florida. As a result, Dubya the halfwit was propelled into the Oval Office mainly by the machinations of his younger brother, who by that time was firmly settled into the governor's mansion in Tallahassee. All it took was the removal of 57,000 black people from the voting rolls of that state - a feat engineered by Jeb and his secretary of state, Katherine Harris. You know the rest of the story; I won't go into the hideous details.

Are comparisons of Jeb and George fair? On a certain level they most definitely are not. Jeb is processed s a certain, barely detectable likability which was completely absent in his older brother. The guy was such an arrogant schmuck that it was difficult (for me at least) to feel anything but complete contempt for him. It was said after the campaign of 2000 that people voted for George simply because they would rather have a beer with him than the nerdy, policy-wonk, Al Gore. I, myself, would rather have shared a brewski with Dubya as well - if only to smash the disgusting little frat boy upside the head with a bottle of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

There is no doubt that had Jeb won the White House fifteen years ago, we would today be remembering his term of office as a failure; but I'm sure it would have turned out to be barely one/half the utter catastrophe that his brother's administration turned out to be. That's a fairly easy call.

And now, so desperate are Jeb and his team to distance themselves from his older brother, poor old Dubya isn't being seen in public these days. For the next two years the only appearances George will be making will be in those "Whatever Became of" articles. Aren't politics fun?

I've never been a fan of George the Elder (although when placed in comparison to his two sons he's beginning to look like Theodore Roosevelt), there was a moment a few years ago when my heart genuinely went out to him: It was when Dubya was still in the White House. He was at some event, speaking extemporaneously  about the careers of his two boys. Then, without warning, the old man suddenly broke down sobbing. I felt really bad for Poppy on that day - and I know what he was thinking: One son had so much (in his mind) to offer. The other has been a tragedy (no argument) for this country. It was such an uncomfortably sad moment. There, laid bare for all to behold, was the tragedy of George H.W. Bush. What a drag.

The funniest thing about the CPAC conference of 2015 was contemplating the complete cluelessness of the average attendee. JEB'S THEIR MAN! They should be thanking the gods of mediocrity that he has consented to seek the prize! Jeb only began to reposition himself as "a moderate" around the time brother George mercifully vacated 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue! While he served as governor of Florida he was as to the extreme right (in a few cases more so) as his brother. "Compassionate Conservatism" my eye!

It's going to be an absolute joy over the next year-and-a-half watching Jeb stumble around the country with one foot on a banana peel and the other in his mouth, trying to convince the morons in the South and Midwest who vote in Republican primaries that he really is (and he really is) one of them. Then, as if that weren't funny enough, he needs to slither back to the center during the general campaign in the autumn - assuming he gets the nomination. Jeb is too much of a wild-eyed lefty for these jackasses. As I've said too many times to count, "the party of Abraham Lincoln" has morphed into the party of Uncle Fester. I'm lovin' this!

And that's the other dilemma that Jeb faces: if he does indeed get the nomination, what will stop the Tea Party crazies from bolting the GOP and starting a third party uprising? Ted Cruz is such a contemptible opportunist, don't put it past him. The dirty little secret is that it's already a separate party - they just haven't made it official yet. They will - count on it.

And you thought 2012 was a scream??

Calvin Coolidge 1872-1933
Ninety-one years ago in 1924, Calvin Coolidge became the first American president to address the nation via the new technology of sound film. This was one month after his sixteen-year-old son died from an infection sustained while playing tennis on the White House court. Under the circumstances he's holding up pretty well I think. Here's a link to watch it on YouTube:

I am now reading a biography of Silent Cal. Although I would never have voted for him had I been alive in 1924, I believe he was one of the most decent men ever to occupy the White House.

Sore Loser (1947-?) was the most gifted troll in the history of Tom Degan's Rant. He was also a sad and deeply troubled man. Thus just across the new wire,
the Holder DOJ announces that
"HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT" did not happen.

(CNN)"Hands up, don't shoot" is now about more than the shooting that killed Michael Brown, but it's also not an accurate representation of the incident that sparked nationwide protests, federal investigators concluded in a report released Wednesday.

The Justice Department's investigation into Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson's shooting of Brown concluded that witness accounts that the African-American teenager surrendered with his hands up "do not support the prosecution of Wilson." The Justice Department decided not to pursue federal charges against Wilson after its investigation, it officially announced Wednesday.

Instead, the physical evidence and accounts by "credible witnesses" suggest Wilson shot Brown multiple times only as "Brown was moving toward Wilson," according to the report.
NY Times said the same thing.

Holding breath for an apology for all that claim it did.

And to think my using IBD as a source was criticized as being unreliable.

Update, in a story not reported here before, President Woodrow Wilson(D) ordered the re-segregated of the federal civil service.

Breaking NEWS it’s been revealed that the White House was alerted about the issue, but the Clinton team urged them to keep it quiet.

From Politico:

The White House, State Department and Hillary Clinton’s personal office knew in August that House Republicans had received information showing that the former secretary of state conducted official government business through her private email account — and Clinton’s staff made the decision to keep quiet.

Sources familiar with the discussions say key people in the Obama administration and on Clinton’s staff were aware that the revelation could be explosive for the all-but-announced candidate for president. But those involved deferred to Clinton’s aides, and they decided not to respond.

In the end, Clinton’s staff waited six months — until after the New York Times published a story on Tuesday about the email account and the possibility that it hampered public access to official records — to begin their response.

This is why their response has been so poor and why the Warren wingnuts have been eager to make inroads on her presidential campaign.

Got to love the "the most transparent administration in history

Yesterday the Justice Department released the results of a long and thorough investigation into the killing of Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson. The investigation concluded that there was not enough evidence to prove a violation of federal law by Officer Wilson. The investigation concluded much more. The investigation concluded that physical evidence and witness statements corroborated Wilson's claim that Michael Brown reached into the car and struck the officer. It concluded that claims that Wilson reached out and grabbed Brown first "were inconsistent with physical and forensic evidence."

The Liberal Fascists did their best with their manufactured story of St. Michael Brown being killed by the White Man only because Michael was black. It was desperation on their part to stir the pot of racism and play that worn out card of racism to get their base, the LIFs, out to vote for the mid terms. But they did not come out to vote. They were content to stay at home with their subsidized rent, internet access, cable, ObamaPhones, and EBT cards from the Liberal Plantation.

Remember how granny in the ghetto was being denied the right to vote because she did not have a photo id? The White Man, the KKK, and the Koch Brothers were behind that LOL.

Remember when AmeriKa's smartest prison guard and Saul Alinsky's Favorite Radical Son said it wasn't Michael Brown in the video stealing the cigars from that oriental man, then harassing him right before he met his maker? He guzzles the Progressive kool aid from his masters at the Obama Ministy of Truth and our Pravda Media. He then foams at the mouth and hurls insults at anyone who dares to question the manufactured facts of Ferguson. What a sorry existence for the prison guard from Michigan.

Ferguson was a farce. I guess we will hear "What Difference Does it Make Now?" from the "leaning forward" progressive kool aid drinkers. What's Al Sharpton got to say now? Crickets, just like with Tawana Brawley.

Why America Should Care?

Why should America care about the plight of the Cherokee people as we face losing our identity to the Elizabeth Warrens of the world?

America should care because they care when someone falsely claims to be a decorated military veteran. They care when someone falsely claims to be a recovering drug addict in a book passed off as the truth. And they care when someone falsely claims to be a survivor of the Jewish Holocaust. America cares about these things because America cares about integrity, honesty and fair treatment.

Elizabeth Warren has not just stolen an ethnic identity that does not belong to her, but she has also personally benefited from it and harmed the integrity of the American ethos of advancement based on quality of work, not color of skin.

That's why America should care.

Ferguson Judge Who Fines And Jails Poor People Owes $170,000 In Unpaid Taxes

The judge in Ferguson, Missouri, who is accused of fixing traffic tickets for himself and colleagues while inflicting a punishing regime of fines and fees on the city’s residents, also owes more than $170,000 in unpaid taxes.

Ronald J Brockmeyer, whose court allegedly jailed impoverished defendants unable to pay fines of a few hundred dollars, has a string of outstanding debts to the US government dating back to 2007, according to tax filings obtained by the Guardian from authorities in Missouri.

Brockmeyer, 70, was this week singled out by Department of Justice investigators as being a driving force behind Ferguson’s strategy of using its municipal court to aggressively generate revenues. The policy has been blamed for a breakdown in relations between the city’s overwhelmingly white authorities and residents, two-thirds of whom are African American.
Investigators found Brockmeyer had boasted of creating a range of new court fees, “many of which are widely considered abusive and may be unlawful”. A city councilman opposing the judge’s reappointment was warned “switching judges would/could lead to loss of revenue”.

How about we follow his Dis-honor’s example and throw him in jail for failure to pay?

Wilson: Free at Last

Eric Holder's Justice Department has completed its investigation into whether Ferguson cop Darren Wilson killed Michael Brown in cold blood for racist reasons when he shot the black teenager last August.

What did the massive six-month FBI investigation discover?

According to the Washington Post, "after canvassing more than 300 homes and reviewing physical, ballistic, forensic, medical and crime-scene evidence" and examining "Wilson's personnel records, audio and video recordings," Justice concluded Wilson told the truth about what happened that Saturday in Ferguson.

Officer Wilson is innocent of the endless libels and slanders in the press and on television, and by street demagogues and the pack of liars who, under oath, told a St. Louis County grand jury that Brown had his hands up, crying, "Don't shoot!" when Wilson cut him down.

The liars, however, will not be called out, nor will the perjurers be prosecuted. For Holder says, in the words of the Post, that "the discrepancy" between what happened and what the liars testified to "was due, in part, to a deeply rooted pattern of racial bias in the police department that had left the Ferguson community polarized."

Holder is saying that we must cut slack for folks who lied to get an innocent cop indicted for murder, because their community had been badly treated by Ferguson cops and courts.

Yet, while Wilson may be innocent, says Holder, the Ferguson police department and courts are steeped in white racism.

The proof of this? Though African-Americans are 67 percent of the population of Ferguson, they account for 93 percent of all arrests.

But these figures prove nothing. According to the FBI crime statistics of recent years, though African-Americans are 13 percent of the population, they account for one-third to one-half of all violent crimes.

In Washington, D.C., African-Americans are half the population. But they are responsible for a huge percentage of all the robberies, rapes, assaults and murders, and especially the interracial crimes of violence.

But the real story of Ferguson is the entrenched bigotry that propelled a mob-like rush to judgment by journalists and race hustlers that ruined the life of an honest cop who did his duty and told the truth.

In this version of "To Kill a Mockingbird," Darren Wilson is Tom Robinson -- the victim of anti-white racism -- and St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch is Atticus Finch.

LIE #1: "The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program ... Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons." -- President Bush, Oct. 7, 2002, in Cincinnati.

LIE #2: "The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." -- President Bush, Jan.28, 2003, in the State of the Union address.

LIE #3: "We believe [Saddam] has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons." -- Vice President Cheney on March 16, 2003 on "Meet the Press.”

LIE #4: "[The CIA possesses] solid reporting of senior-level contacts between Iraq and al-Qaeda going back a decade." -- CIA Director George Tenet in a written statement released Oct. 7, 2002 and echoed in that evening's speech by President Bush.

LIE #5: "We've learned that Iraq has trained al-Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases ... Alliance with terrorists could allow the Iraqi regime to attack America without leaving any fingerprints."-- President Bush, Oct. 7.

LIE #6: "We have also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas. We are concerned that Iraq is exploring ways of using these UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] for missions targeting the United States."-- President Bush, Oct. 7.

LIE #7: "We have seen intelligence over many months that they have chemical and biological weapons, and that they have dispersed them and that they're weaponized and that, in one case at least, the command and control arrangements have been established." -- President Bush, Feb. 8, 2003, in a national radio address.

LIE #8: "Our conservative estimate is that Iraq today has a stockpile of between 100 and 500 tons of chemical weapons agent. That is enough to fill 16,000 battlefield rockets."-- Secretary of State Colin Powell, Feb. 5 2003, in remarks to the UN Security Council.

LIE #9: "We know where [Iraq's WMD] are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south, and north somewhat." -- Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, March 30, 2003, in statements to the press.

LIE #10: "Yes, we found a biological laboratory in Iraq which the UN prohibited." -- President Bush in remarks in Poland, published internationally June 1, 2003

Koch-Backed Professors Call For ‘Less Democracy’

The Koch brothers have been funneling millions in to public universities for years, and that investment appears to be paying off. Now, George Mason University (GMU) has a professor who is promoting the idea that we need to get rid of the people’s voice in politics, and instead replace that with, in their words, an “epistocracy,” or a “Rule by the Wise.” In the world of politics, the idea of having a ruling class is generally considered distasteful in America, so this professor’s use words such as epistocracy is meant to camouflage the meaning – of having an oligarchy or aristocracy of the rich.

Iraq Liberation Act 1998

The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 is a United States Congressional statement of policy calling for regime change in Iraq.[1][2] It was signed into law by President Bill Clinton, and states that it is the policy of the United States to support democratic movements within Iraq. The Act was cited in October 2002 to argue for the authorization of military force against the Iraqi government.

The Act was passed 360-38 in the U.S. House of Representatives[4] and by unanimous consent in the Senate.[5] US President Bill Clinton signed the bill into law on October 31, 1998. The law's stated purpose was: "to establish a program to support a transition to democracy in Iraq." Specifically, Congress made findings of past Iraqi military actions in violation of International Law and that Iraq had denied entry of United Nations Special Commission on Iraq (UNSCOM) inspectors into its country to inspect for weapons of mass destruction. Congress found: "It should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove the regime headed by Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq and to promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime."

President Clinton stated in February 1998:

Iraq admitted, among other things, an offensive biological warfare capability, notably, 5,000 gallons of botulinum, which causes botulism; 2,000 gallons of anthrax; 25 biological-filled Scud warheads; and 157 aerial bombs. And I might say UNSCOM inspectors believe that Iraq has actually greatly understated its production....

Over the past few months, as [the weapons inspectors] have come closer and closer to rooting out Iraq's remaining nuclear capacity, Saddam has undertaken yet another gambit to thwart their ambitions by imposing debilitating conditions on the inspectors and declaring key sites which have still not been inspected off limits....

It is obvious that there is an attempt here, based on the whole history of this operation since 1991, to protect whatever remains of his capacity to produce weapons of mass destruction, the missiles to deliver them, and the feed stocks necessary to produce them. The UNSCOM inspectors believe that Iraq still has stockpiles of chemical and biological munitions, a small force of Scud-type missiles, and the capacity to restart quickly its production program and build many, many more weapons....

Now, let's imagine the future. What if he fails to comply and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route, which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction. And some day, some way, I guarantee you he'll use the arsenal....

The following year, Gore made similar claims at a UN “climate” summit in Copenhagen. “Some of the models … suggest that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years,” Gore claimed in 2009. “We will find out.”

Yes, we have found out. Contrary to the predictions by Gore and fellow alarmists, satellite data showed that Arctic ice volume as of summer of 2013 had actually expanded more than 50 percent over 2012 levels. In an appearance on Sunday’s “Fox Report,” Democratic pollster Pat Caddell suggested the federal corruption charges against New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez were themselves corrupt.

Caddell lashed out at the Obama administration, saying “Nixon on steroids,” while asking when Democrats like New York Sen. Chuck Schumer will stand up to the White House.

“One of the things we should look at … the polling that shows the president’s numbers on dishonesty are record numbers and Hillary’s have flipped negative from positive from a year ago, and that is because everybody is corrupt,” Caddell told host Harris Faulkner.

“The Menendez thing – I want to say something. He has stood up for the country and the scandal that a year ago wasn’t going anywhere and suddenly we get this leak,” Caddell continued. “If you don’t think, let me tell you – this White House is Nixon on steroids.”

“I was watching ‘All the President’s Men’ last week. And I haven’t seen it in 25 years. I was the youngest person on Nixon’s enemies list. And I want to tell you, they went after him,” said a fiery Caddell. “They are going after [David] Petraeus. Anybody who leaves the fold they are going after. It is corruption and it’s Nixon on steroids. Somebody – where is somebody in my party to say they are not going to be threatened and are going to stand up for America, starting with Chuck Schumer.”

The democrats need to stand up for him, as each of them will be next as they irritate the idiot in the White House. Remember, "They first came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew, so I did nothing."

Neo-confederate Klan ‘Wizardess’ erected pro-KKK billboard near historic Selma bridge

A billboard honoring the founder of the Ku Klux Klan now stands within sight the historic bridge in Selma, Alabama that was the site of the 1965 “Bloody Sunday” clash between civil rights protesters and police.
The billboard shows Nathan Bedford Forrest — Klan founder and Confederate war hero — astride his horse with the motto, “Keep the skeer on ‘em,” meaning, “Keep them afraid.”

The billboard was erected by the friends of Forrest, Inc., a historical group that says it meant nothing racist by placing the billboard so close to this historic Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Spokeswoman Patricia Goodwin told the News, “That billboard was put there with positive intent to ask people who come to Selma to explore and enjoy our 19th century history. Does it say anything in the Constitution where a certain faction of people cannot be offended? I’m offended by all these people walking around with their pants hanging around their knees.”

Godwin is known for signing her emails “The Wizardess,” a reference to Forrest’s title as the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

How do Republicans try to breathe new life into an old scandal? We've seen it time and time again. Here's how it works:

Step One: Republicans, with nothing in their arsenal to use against Hillary Clinton, selectively leak to reporters a "scandalous" tidbit -- often one that has been previously reported.

Step Two: The new media bites.

Step Three: The media hyperventilates and suffocates the airwaves with repetition of the same story.

Step Four: Upon further examination, the story falls apart.

The Times story suggests Secretary Clinton broke federal rules in relation to her email. But the Times' main source for this allegation says Clinton violated no laws.

Yes, Clinton used a private email account to communicate while she was secretary of state. But so did secretaries of state before her. According to the State Department spokesman Marie Harf, John Kerry is the first secretary of state ever to rely primarily on official State Department email.

In October 2014, 18 months after Clinton left, the State Department was engaged in the process of updating its records preservation policies. The State Department asked every secretary of state dating back to Madeleine Albright to provide records, including emails, from their time in office. Clinton responded to the State Department's request for emails, providing the department with over 55,000 pages of emails. She did so months ago. Clinton has been fully transparent and has asked the State Department for these emails to be made public.

Republican investigators seeking to hype the current Benghazi investigation leaked the issue to keep a dying investigation alive.

Mitt Romney used his private email account to discuss political business, and when he left the governor's office, his administration destroyed records rather than turn them over to state archives.

Scott Walker's County Executive's office used a secret email system, which investigators determined was being used to engage in campaign work on county time and to avoid public records disclosure laws.

Mike Huckabee's office had files, including emails, cleaned and physically destroyed, including "travel records, calendars, call logs, and emails."

Why hasn't their behavior been scrutinized over and over again? Because their last name isn't Clinton.

In the end, all we are left with is the benign fact that Hillary Clinton used a personal email account at the State Department. This isn't even a revelation -- it has been known for years. Looks like the Republicans wasted their breath, once again, for nothing.

But that won't stop me from sitting here beating this NON-STORY to death while dressed in a satin wedding dress and white high-heeled pumps. Because I'm a troll, and that's what trolls do.

Even for a Republican White House that was badly stumbling through George W. Bush's sixth year in office, the revelation on April 12, 2007 was shocking. Responding to congressional demands for emails in connection with its investigation into the partisan firing of eight U.S. attorneys, the White House announced that as many as five million emails, covering a two-year span, had been lost.

The emails had been run through private accounts controlled by the Republican National Committee and were only supposed to be used for dealing with non-administration political campaign work to avoid violating ethics laws. Yet congressional investigators already had evidence private emails had been used for government business, including to discuss the firing of one of the U.S. attorneys. The RNC accounts were used by 22 White House staffers, including then-Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, who reportedly used his RNC email for 95 percent of his communications.

As the Washington Post reported, "Under federal law, the White House is required to maintain records, including e-mails, involving presidential decision- making and deliberations." But suddenly millions of the private RNC emails had gone missing; emails that were seen as potentially crucial evidence by Congressional investigators.

The White House email story broke on a Wednesday. Yet on that Sunday's Meet The Press, Face The Nation, and Fox News Sunday, the topic of millions of missing White House emails did not come up. At all. (The story did get covered on ABC's This Week.)

By comparison, not only did every network Sunday news show this week cover the story about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton emails, but they were drowning in commentary. Between Meet the Press, Face The Nation, This Week, and Fox News Sunday, Clinton's "email" or "emails" were referenced more than 100 times on the programs, according to Nexis transcripts. Talk about saturation coverage.

I haven't slept a wink since Obama took office. That's why I write (and delete) posts at 2:30 in the morning. That's why I'm so terrified of the thought of President Hillary Clinton. I won't be able to sleep at night.

Ten years later, Zeifman said;

Soo Zeifman first says he didn't have the power to fire her, and then ten years later he claims to have fired her.

On the April 2, 2008 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh asserted that Jerome "Jerry" Zeifman, House Judiciary Committee counsel during Watergate, was "the guy who fired" Sen. Hillary Clinton when she worked on the committee. Limbaugh made these claims while apparently reading from a March 31 article by conservative writer Dan Calabrese, which asserts: "When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation." Calabrese cites Zeifman as his source. But Zeifman's reported claim is undermined by his own previous reported acknowledgement that he -- Zeifman -- did not fire Clinton and did not have the power to do so. Limbaugh also touted other unsubstantiated claims by Zeifman about Clinton's work on the Watergate committee.

Contrary to what Calabrese now writes, Zeifman was quoted in a November 4, 1998, Scripps Howard News Service article, published in The Sacramento Bee, as saying, "If I had the power to fire her, I would have fired her."

"The Fact Hub" of Clinton's HillaryHub.com states, "In a column circulating on the internet Jerry Zeifman alleges that Hillary was fired from her job on the House Judiciary Committee in the 1970s. This is false. Hillary was not fired."

Mozart, I'm TERRIFIED of Hillary. So I'm going to cut and paste as much phony bullshit as I can. I'm going to cut and paste every last lie, every last discredited rumor, because I'm a useful idiot.

Issa Blamed IBM Software For Loss Of 22 Million Bush Emails

As you'll recall, millions of Bush White House emails conveniently went missing between 2003 and 2005, including those in the critical days during which the administration formulated its response to Ambassador Joe Wilson and his covert CIA operative wife, Valerie Plame. In July 2007, Darrell Issa accused Plame of perjury. Then, in February 2008, Issa turned IT expert and brushed off the email imbroglio as merely a software problem.

Complicating matters, some 50 Bush White House staffers had used email accounts provided by the Republican National Committee to sidestep federal laws regarding the preservation of digital records.

Bush lied so hundreds of thousands died, and are still dying.

Carl M. Cannon:

"An alarming number of people asked why I hadn’t mentioned that Mrs. Clinton was fired for misconduct when she worked as a staff lawyer for the House Judiciary Committee investigating Richard Nixon during Watergate.

For the record, the reason is that she wasn’t fired from that job. It didn’t happen. I knew where that rumor originated—it’s not a new story—because it first arose in Bill Clinton’s second term, when I covered the White House. But I was curious how it flew around the world so fast. The short answer is Rush Limbaugh. The longer answer is the way Americans communicate with each other these days.

First, a brief recitation of the back story:

It begins in 1973, when a government lawyer named Jerome Zeifman started making entries in his diary. It was a momentous time in his career. Zeifman, a Democrat, was chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee. Investigating a sitting president required staffing, and one of those hired was a 27-year-old Yale Law School grad named Hillary Rodham.

At first, he was impressed, but in time Zeifman soured on her. He began, as he wrote in a 1996 book, to suspect her of collaborating with Democratic Senate aides loyal to Ted Kennedy. Their supposed aim was to keep the lid on the Watergate investigation out of fear Nixon would expose the “crimes of Camelot,” a phrase that appears in the book’s title. There are other subplots in his farfetched conspiracy theory, and other conspirators, including Judiciary Committee Chairman Peter Rodino—but little evidence for any of it.

The book reads like a Hollywood intrigue, which apparently occurred to Zeifman’s publisher, who promised on the book jacket to reveal “truths even more startling than those brought out in Oliver Stone’s movies Nixon and JFK.” Those films, remember, were works of fiction.

This titillating tale was reprised in 2008 when Clinton ran for president, thanks to conservative columnist Dan Calabrese, who embellished it a tad, introducing Jerry Zeifman as “the guy who fired Hillary Clinton.” A catchy line, but untrue: Zeifman lacked the authority to terminate her, and it’s a matter of historic record that she wasn’t fired.

Nonetheless, at the height of the 2008 primary season, Rush Limbaugh repeated it to his millions of listeners. Today, with Clinton prepping for another presidential campaign, the old canard is being passed around again, this time in a “viral” email. Viral is the right word"

It's funny how I go around calling you progressive radicals LIARS when I quote liars like Fatty Rushbuckle and Breitbart and Drudge and IOTW.

From Charles Pierce:

The modern Republican party has become an authentic mechanism for political subversion, and it's not just unknown crazy people from Texas who are driving the train. A rookie meathead submarines the president's foreign policy. Rick Perry is currently running for president on a platform more suited to a campaign conducted under the Articles of Confederation. Mitch McConnell, the majority leader of the United States Senate, has suggested that governors out in the several states ignore the Environmental Protection Agency. At every conservative gathering, from CPAC on down, there at least is one panel touting the benefits of nullification and old-school states rights politics. Yes, a lot of it is about how states rights got whipped over civil rights in the 1960's, but it's not all about race. It's about a deliberate, calculated attempt by one of the only two political parties we allow ourselves to dismantle the federal union. They want the country to come apart so they can sell off the pieces to the people who run their campaigns. They are free to prove to me that I'm wrong.

The Republican party is a mechanism for the subversion of the federal republic. It doesn't matter if the party's stars are doing it to please The Base, or because they don't know any better, or because they think it's the right thing to do. They are actively working to undermine the American union. This should be the first question asked of any Republican leader, of any Republican candidate, and certainly of obvious anagram Reince Preibus, the emptiest suit in American politics. They should be asked, every day, in every forum, if they believe in the Supremacy Clause, the Reconstruction amendments, and the federal union. These are yes-or-no questions.

Mozart,
"I have no idea how MANY Nukes Israel has, but I know whatever they DO have, we sold them to them. So where do they (Or us for that matter) get the right to tell other countries they can't have one?"

Several things,

1. You KNOW we sold Israel nukes, give me the source of this information.

2. "Where do we get the right to tell other countries" is a perfect example of how liberal radical progressives view the USA. In their mind America is the source of all the problems in the world. Therefore American has no right to extend it's power to protect it's citizens, it's best interests and the best interests of our allies. As you have said, it's the fault of those Americans who are beheaded by ISIS for being there. IE: they had it coming. What type of nation doesn't take care of it's citizens when the are abroad? The weak ones, the ineffective ones. The irony is that for all the evil America is blamed for, we can not stop the flow of people crossing our borders illegally dieing to get here for the chance at a better life.

Where do we get the right to tell other countries anything? We have the right as long as we chose to exercise diplomacy for the benefit of the USA first, our allies second. We do not owe or have an obligation to the rest of the world who depends on America for aid, for food, for defense, if they do not honor OUR right to take care of the USA (IE it's citizens, it's business) FIRST!

If Iran wants something from us (which I honestly do not think they do), then they have to come to terms with what we want. Would you negotiate with a person or business with out having your wants, needs, your bottom line as the goal of the negotiation? Would you rather negotiate from a position of strength or weakness? A position of knowledge or ignorance? (side note, I was taught that to negotiate without knowledge, without strength was not negotiating, it was begging. I believe that is our position with Iran, we are begging.)

How is it any different then, for the USA as it's job per the Constitution is to protect the people of it's 50 States against all enemy's external and internal, to grow it's power to the benefit of it's citizens? Would you weaken your power, your ability needed to care for and to protect your family? Of course not, then why should America?

What do you think the world would look like, to live in if there was no America? Would the world be better off without an America?
Would you like to replace the USA with another country, who would that be?

I implore liberal racial progressives to answer those questions for themselves. While they do so, ask themselves this final question, who benefits from an impotent, weak American?

As for as your claim about 47 Koch minions, treason, etc, you need to come to grips with the actions of your gal Nancy P's trip to Syria, (it was NOT done with the blessing of the WH) or
this:
Kerry met with representatives from “both delegations” of the Vietnamese in Paris in 1970, according to Kerry’s own testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971. But Kerry’s meetings with the Vietnamese delegations were in direct violation of laws forbidding private citizens from negotiating with foreign powers, according to researcher and author Jerry Corsi, who began studying the anti-war movement in the early 1970s.

According to Corsi, Kerry violated U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953. “A U.S. citizen cannot go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power,” Corsi told CNSNews.com.

Or Kerry joined Harkin on an infamous trip to Managua, to meet with Comandante Ortega. This was April 1985. The trip, according to an article in Policy Review magazine, was arranged by the Institute for Policy Studies, a hard-Left group.
Said Kerry, “Senator Harkin and I are going to Nicaragua as Vietnam-era veterans who are alarmed that the Reagan administration is repeating the mistakes we made in Vietnam. Our foreign policy should represent the democratic values that have made our country great, not subvert those values by funding terrorism to overthrow governments of other countries.” Note that, certainly by implication, the senator characterized the Contra resistance as “terrorism.” In addition, “President Reagan has probably come closer to trying to interpret Vietnam in a positive way than either Presidents Ford or Carter. But this also lends itself to a revisionism about Vietnam that makes it easier for us to repeat our mistakes unwittingly.”

Or Ted Kennedy Secretly Asked The Soviets To Intervene In The 1984 Elections.

According to Soviet documents unearthed in the early 1990′s, Kennedy literally asked the Soviets, avowed enemies of the U.S., to intervene on behalf of the Democratic party in the 1984 elections. Kennedy’s communist communique was so secret that it was not discovered until 1991, eight years after Kennedy had initiated his Soviet gambit.

And none of these are treason?

And only in the wacked out cult of the far Right is the US blameless for any wrong-headed actions.

I used to be a liberal, but after reading your comments, I've changed my views. I'm especially impressed with your citing of Jerome (Jerry) Corsi as a source. He makes excellent sense!

After some research, I learned more about some other theories Corsi promoted. Here's a few:

Corsi wrote a book "Hunting Hitler" where he claims Hitler escaped to Argentina by helicopter and submarine.

Corsi stated that explosives brought down the towers on 9-11, not terrorists hijacking planes.

He claimed that Bush was pushing for a "north american union" combining canada, the U.S. and Mexico, that would supplant the United States. He said "north american union" drivers licenses were being printed up.

Corsi believes that oil is produced underground by chemical processes, rather than the conversion of biological material. So he is a scientist, too! He said "there is no proof oil came from dinosaurs!" He's right - oil came from ancient plant material.

Corsi has referred to Martin Luther King as a "shakedown artist"

Corsi went into banking and finance in 1981. In 1995 Corsi helped launch a mutual fund to invest in formerly Communist Poland after the fall of the Soviet Union, which eventually lost $1.2 million, much of it from a group of about 20 Minnesota investors. Some of the investors blamed the organizers, including Corsi, for their investment in the former Communist country. Two investors sued Corsi and his partners on the basis that the organizers had given their personal guarantee backing up the investment, and won judgments against them. They did not collect from Corsi because, as one investor claimed, the money "had been moved into his wife's name ... There was nothing to get out of him".

So again, thanks Sore Loser for quoting this man. Your credibility has increased so much. Your opinions and the references you cite are IMPECCABLE.

I look forward to reading more of your opinions! Thanks for opening my eyes! Are there any other authors, along with Jerry Corsi, you can recommend? I love you to provide a reading list.

Thank You Sore Loser For Opening My Eyes!

Look prick breath, have you bothered to look up the legal code that was referenced?
HELL NO

Did Kerry do what was claimed he did?
HELL YES

Instead of digging up what you can find to ridicule or diminish a persons point, maybe a little fact checking would be in line. Facts about the subject at hand instead of holding debate by ad hominem.

Ted Kennedy, same story, did you check or was this just the typical knee jerk reaction of a radical progressive being found to be in bed with Communists?

Not that you will read or believe them but there are sources, if you can pull you head out the Rev Al's rectum long enough to look them up.
Just like you not being able to name on radical liberal or say no to the help offered by the CPUSA, comrade.

Like "hands up don't shoot" really really happened.
Of sources

Yes, Sore Loser, thank you for changing my mind! As I said, your opinions and the sources you cite are IMPECCABLE. I used to be a radical progressive commie, but after reading your intelligent comments I've come around to your thinking.

Again, can you please provide a reading list? More authors and scientists like Jerry Corsi?

I'd really like to learn more! And I want to tell you, I really admire the fine work you've done on Tom Degan's blog. You've chased all the other commenters away, except for Mozart (or Mofart as you call him - witty!) and Dave Dubya (who you call Dumya - again, comedy gold!) so your initial goal to disrupt Tom's blog is going well.

I see Tom has a new post up - about Selma! I'm looking forward to your intelligent comments on that subject. Will you use your Rev. Al Sharptoon alias, or will you go with Pat Buchanan? I can't wait to read your wisdom!

- Your number one fan, "Thanks Sore Loser For Opening My Eyes"

Again, please provide the reading list.

If I wanted to ask your opinion I'd wipe the shit off you yellow teeth

Very "adult" remarks.

The idiot has no clue about the contras selling cocaine (Ask Ollie North) and killing nuns.

What. An. Idiot.

Before we rush to judgment, when you say ‘communism,’ do you mean classic Marxism or the blend of authoritarianism and market economics pioneered by Deng Xiaoping?

I'm looking forward to your reading list! Jerry Corsi, Kurt Schlicter... two very exciting authors! I get the same excitement reading Schlicter that I did reading Mein Kampf in the original German! Please give me a list of some more writers I should familiarize myself with.

Anyway, Sore Loser, I'm your biggest fan. Keep fighting the good fight!

LOL!!

That is the funniest crazed, hateful example of radical Right projection I have ever seen!

For that huge laugh, I'd buy the troll a diet coke at the Colony Diner in Wallingford Connecticut.

Sore Loser, do you listen to Glen Beck? I think he's one of the great minds of the Conservative Movement. He really knows how to connect the dots. Do you visit the Blaze?

Since you opened my eyes, I can't read enough of people like Beck, and Kurt Schlicter and Jerry Corsi. These intellectual giants are really expanding my worldview.

What's your opinion of Jeb Bush? Is he your guy? I know the Kochs want to put their boy Walker in the White House, but Jeb really knows how to raise money.

Have you put together a reading list for me, yet? I'm really hungry for more of your wisdom!

I'm so excited! I went on a shopping spree at BIG AND TALL LADIES with my social security check. Cocktail dress, panties, bra, new shoes. I look stunning. I'm the prettiest gurl in Connecticut!

If you check the T4M section of Connecticut Craigslist you'll see my profile and pictures. If you're in my town, don't be shy - maybe we can hook up!
