The Morning After

"With or without control of the Senate, the GOP power surge burdens Mitch McConnell, John Borhner, GOP White House hopefuls and the Tea Partiers with the duty to chart the nation's course for the next two years. Heaven help us all."

New York Daily News editorial, 11/5/04

On Sunday evening the American people set their clocks back one hour. Last night they set them back two centuries. Ain't politics oodles of fun?

Rick Scott - reelected
I was tempted to call this piece "Stupid Fucking Americans", then thought better of the idea. The sad truth of the matter is that I know quite a few people - a heck of a lot smarter than I - who voted the straight GOP line yesterday. While it would be grossly inaccurate for me to imply that all Republicans are idiots, it is beyond dispute that most idiots are Republicans. You don't believe that? I'll tell you what: The next time someone in your general proximity says something rib-ticklingly stupid, ask him or her what political party they're registered with. Get back to me.

No, in many cases it has a lot less to do with stupidity and a whole lot to do with a deplorable lack of information. If the electorate had so-much-as a remedial knowledge of American history, they wouldn't be casting their lots with that disgusting party. Consider these unconscionable facts: There were more Republicans elected yesterday than any Election Day since 1946. Come January, there will be more Republican representatives in Washington than at any time since 1928! Is that a kicker or what?

Early in the evening when the trending was pitifully obvious, I had a couple of very strong drinks and went to bed. What would be the use of waiting up to view the political carnage? When I woke up at 2:30 and got the official word from broadcast news, I went outside for a smoke. Noticing the little flag that I fly to the left of my doorway, I quietly and unceremoniously took it down. Even at that late hour, in the dark of night, I was embarrassed having it there. I'm not kidding.

There were pockets of good news here and there. My representative, Sean Maloney, barely squeaked by in a close race against former congresswoman and Tea Party robot, Nan Hayworth. For the last month my mailbox has been bombarded with flyers from Nan's positively juvenile campaign. Her taunts of "Maloney Baloney" were, to put it as mildly as possible, amusing. As of this hour poor old Nan has yet to concede. She wants to wait until all of the absentee ballots are counted. Fine, let her wait. But other than that and a handful of other little oases in the national desert, most of the news this morning was devastatingly bad. One Republican congressman - under felony indictment - was able to keep his seat. What does that tell you?

Hideous Mitch
Most depressing of all was in my ancestral homeland, Kentucky. I've written before how proud-as-a-freaking-peacock I was to be connected with the place. Those days are over. A people moronic enough to send a corrupt, hideous gasbag like Mitch McConnell back to Washington as their representative deserve everything that happens to them. For thirty years Mitch has been nothing more than a handmaiden to corporate wealth and plutocratic greed. You would think - you would hope and pray - that his utterly clueless constituency would have caught on by now, wouldn't you? They haven't. It really is kinda funny when you think about it - a dark comedy.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over what transpired yesterday. In fact, I have been handed - on a silver platter - at least two years worth of dynamite material - possibly as many as six years! I'll be fine. As I've mentioned too many times to count, for people who blog about politics and politicians, these extremist freaks are the gift that won't stop giving. There is most definitely a silver lining behind this horrifically dark cloud. To tell you the awful truth, I can't believe my luck.

Hunter
"There is no such thing as paranoia. Your worst fears can come true at any moment."

-Hunter Thompson

It sure is sad. Any possibility of Barack Obama having a successful administration went into the toilet evening last. My prediction of a Democratic victory in two years being inevitable is now (as Nixon's press secretary would have said) "inoperative". Between January and the election of 2016 you can count on them passing more-and-more restrictive voter suppression laws that will seal their power for decades. Kiss this country goodbye....and get used to living in a nation in ruins.

Mah! Mah! The ol' plantation sho' has changed!

AFTERTHOUGHT:

A major milestone has occurred in my family: Mary Rose Cullen, the sister of my late uncle Tom, passed away yesterday at the family homestead in Chester, NY. She was the last surviving member of that extraordinary family.

As I noted earlier, this turnaround is just the pattern of two corporatist parties frustrating the American people who hop back and forth hoping for representation. They won't get it, of course. They can't afford "free speech" as defined by the Republicans on the Supreme Court.

The other factor is the lower turnout for midterm elections. "The worst are full of passionate intensity." This is exactly why Republicans want to reduce voter numbers.

Gee, who would that be? LOL!

Liberal excuses for their failures

1. It was the Koch money and big corporations that caused the defeat.

2. There isn't much difference between the two party s so getting our ass handed to us doesn't mean anything.

3. GOP cheated.

4. Voter suppression because put our base didn't show up to vote.

5. Democrats weren't liberal enough.

6. Racism

7. Voters were duped

8. Voters must have been high on pot.

1. The Kochs spent a record amount of money in more than two dozen states influencing elections, so yes, they have managed to buy the US government.

2. There is a TON of difference, and you are going to see proof of that as they crash the economy Obama just saved.

3. Gerrymandering, disenfranchising voters... yes, they did, as usual. (see 2000 and 2004 elections)

4. See above. But it is true that young people who vote Democrat generally avoid the mid terms. Pity, they will suffer the most for their apathy.

5. Not so much not "liberal" enough which is true, but not BRAVE enough to stand up like statesmen and support the President.

6. Well, not all Republicans are racist, but it's a solid bet that nearly all racists are Republicans

7. That goes without saying.

8. NO, Pot smokers usually discuss things at length and obsess on detail. One of the reasons it's kept illegal. Who wants people sitting around discussing issues?

Anonymous, you seem to think that if you make fun of the REASONS something happens intelligent people will not bring them up.

WHO ARE YOUR CONGRESSMEN?

Come on now, it should be easy for you to find out today. Stop hiding like a coward. And stick with one name. We all know it's you.

In fact you validate them with your post.

What I like is this:

"it's a solid bet that nearly all racists are Republicans." If not Republicans then what party do the other racists belong to? And where are the study's supporting your claim nearly all racists are Republicans? What is your definition of the word racism?

Saying that after your posting this is a real window into your liberal heart.

"The ONLY "Blacks and women" the GOP accepts are those (the token ones) that parrot the talking points but can't or won't think for themselves."

How very racist of you Mozart, and the fact sadly is, that you can't see it. I believe it's due in part to all the years you have been stuck on the liberal plantation. I think you are afraid to leave the liberal plantation because you do not believe you have the skills to take care of yourself without the plantation's overseers taking care of you.
IE the DNC.

You do know that makes you a slave to the liberal plantation?

I'm just hoping we can all get along here and have some meaningful discourse on current events.

I just want to say that lets hope there is no obstruction for the GOP majorities in the House and Senate from Obama and him becoming the President of No.

Its not my fault the moral majority of America is fed up with LBJ's Liberal Plantation and expensive progressive dreams of Utopia.

I will not rub it in like Obama right after his 2008 victory and say "Look, We won and you lost. Elections have consequences."

A man who bragged to Univision about how his policies are those of a "moderate 1985 Reagan Republican"?

I have had the misfortune of having worked with Republicans for eleven years. I have even written short biographies of each of them. People will say you made all that up, but I did not have to make up anything!

All of them have been coming to me to solve problems which they could not solve. Some of the problems a smart sixth grader could have solved!

One of them erases weeks worth of work on his computer and then comes to me to see if he can get the work back. He has been working on his computer since 1989 and has not learned a damn thing! Sad. And he has a college degree! He is 64.

Another has trouble telling the difference between the words “to” and “too”. You throw in the word “two” and he is flabbergasted! Ha Ha Ha. He can not spell worth a damn. I always tell him that on most computer programs there is a spelling and grammar checker.
He can not compose a single paragraph without totally screwing it up. I usually know what he is trying to say but his writing does not say it! He is 65.

There is one story that is pretty ridiculous so I am not going to post it here. You would not believe it!

A very intelligent man once told me;

“Most people are not too bright, and some are really moronic. And to that you can add liars, incompetents, cheaters, etc, etc. It is really embarrassing to talk to a truly stupid person.”

“You are going to find that many times in business it is going to be fools dealing with fools.”

I could go on and on, but I am stopping here.

And these people are allowed to vote???!!! They are all Republicans!

Washington (CNN) - A majority of Americans want to keep the federal health care law as is, or make some changes to improve it, according to a new national poll.

Vote Republican, to hell with most Americans.

Anonymous, pointing out the obvious and open racism in another group of people does not make a person a racist or a sexist no matter how many times you try to make it so. The GOP said "What do Liberals want?" and then gave them people that APPEAR to satisfy that. However, we all know that there will be no "bipartisanship". No "compromise". They will do exactly the same thing they have always done, vote as a group to tear down any progress the country has made, because that progress interferes with the conservative agenda, that being to pander to uber rich White men. Women and minorities will not benefit from a few "tokens". IN 2008, when it looked like Hillary was going to be the nominee, they gave as Palin and Bachman. AS soon as Obama took the lead they wheeled out Herman Cain. TOKENS.
That's all they have done this time, along with a record setting big money blitz courtesy of the Kochs along with Rupert Murdoch and others. Thanks to citizens United an unlimited amount of money can be spent and it doesn't even have to be Americans putting up the cash. I don't think that's what the founders intended do you?

As for your accusations against Obama, he proved that he TRIED to work with the GOP, but their version of "bipartisanship" and "compromise" turned out to be "Do everything our way or we'll take our ball and go home".
Nice.

AS for you, if your conservative heroes are as childish and ridiculous as you are (and it looks like they are) the country is in real trouble. I expect many VETOs and EO's from Obama, but if the GOP manages to STEAL the White House in 2016 we can expect to go back to the crashed economy and free ride for the rich we were getting under Bush.

Of course NOW they say "it's time for bipartisanship" when they want Obama to sign all their stuff. I hope he VETO's everything they send him from here on out and uses the EO to do as he pleases.

When a gun control bill came before congress it was (pun intended) "shot down" even though over 80% of the American public INCLUDING NRA MEMBERS supported it. However, the NRA leadership was opposed, and they have power over the GOP.

Do you think Americans were opposed to rebuilding our infrastructure? The GOP shot down three different bills because they didn't include the boondoggle XL pipeline that NO ONE except oil execs want. Three highways bills died in the House, as well as additional funding for FEMA after Hurricane Sandy. The GOP only cares about big money interests. That much is painfully obvious.

Simply amazing, liberal's just can not face the reality of the American voter's rejection of their policy's.

Mozart, Dubya look at your responses to this very basic, simple question:

"he proved that he TRIED to work with the GOP"

Provide supporting evidence of the president trying to work with the GOP.

"Well, the ACA was WRITTEN by Republicans."
Mozart, you talk out of both sides of your mouth , you say the ACA is vastly popular and the GOP is against it because it helps people, next you blame the GOP for writing it.

These are the ACA writing Republicans?
Democrat Max Baucus
Elizabeth, ‘Liz’ Fowler
Dr. Jonathan Gruber
John McDonough
Ezekiel “Zeke” Emanuel

Still nothing to support the claim that Obama tried to work with the GOP!

Instead Mozart, you offer this:

"Do you think Americans were opposed to rebuilding our infrastructure? The GOP shot down three different bills because they didn't include the boondoggle XL pipeline that NO ONE except oil execs want.
(gee, what a shock, Oil wants a better way to get their produce which we need to run our country to it's market, and is willing to employee thousands of union workers to build the pipeline, a pipe line that helps Obama keep his promise to make us energy independent from foreign oil)

Three highways bills died in the House, as well as additional funding for FEMA after Hurricane Sandy. The GOP only cares about big money interest."
(Have you looked at the highway bills, do you know what they provided for? Are you SURE you want to stand by that statement?)

Is it any wonder that that liberals are in the minority in America? It appears that they lack the ability for cognitive thought.

"Those cultists think the Republicans are going to bring them freedom and riches."
No Dubya, they believe the GOP is going to allow THEM the freedom to have the chance to earn riches and then to keep most of what they earn so they are not dependent on the govt..Alien idea to you isn't it?

"Yeah, the economy was BOOMING when Bush left office, right?"
Actually it started sliding when the DNC took control of Congress, two years before Bush left office.
I to, hope Obama vetoes every bill they send him! Should be a great selling point in the 2016 campaign, vote Democrat, the party of NO!!

Ok, get a grip, but you lost, the people have tossed you and your liberal programs out the door and have totally rejected Obama as a leader. If I were Dubya instead of the chicken sound, he should make the lame duck sound for Obama, because that is what he is.

The non-binding resolution, signed by Republican President George H.W. Bush in 1992, urges nations to conserve open land and steer development toward more populous areas.

Ernst said last year: "The implications we could have here is moving people off their agricultural land and consolidating them into city centers, and then telling them 'you don't have property rights anymore.' These are all things that the UN is behind, and it's bad for the United States and bad for families here in the state of Iowa."

Susan Geddes, a conservative Iowa Republican strategist, said Ernst's characterization "is a problem for our party." Conspiracy theories aren't good campaign issues, she said.

"I don't know why she'd say that," said Geddes, a senior Iowa adviser to Mike Huckabee's 2008 presidential campaign.

What I wonder when I read what someone like Joni Ernst believes and has publicly said-- who are those people in Iowa? I ask myself that more than about the candidates or even the oligarchs who are patting themselves on the back for buying this election which will give them more tax breaks, less regulations to protect the safety of workers/water/air/environment, and more ways to obstruct anything positive happening on any important issue.

They say that Obama should respect the results of this election. Why? They didn't respect when he was elected? Many of the dems who got defeated were running on not really being a dem-- like Grimes who rightly got defeated when she wouldn't even have the guts to admit who she voted for in 2014. Simple question-- Romney or Obama? and it could have been either. I think she lost the election right there.

I have a rightie friend who said they will do tax fairness, less regulations, better war fighting, and on he went. He totally ignored how they were for personhood and wanted an amendment to ban gay marriage. He ignored how they wanted to ban as many from voting as they can unless they are right wing whities. I told him we'll see who gets surprised by what they do. I wonder though-- maybe he just does not want to admit his stand on some of these issues that I find so abominable an invasion of our rights-- by the party that claims to be for freedom because they never met a citizen they don't want to have a gun while they have plenty they don't want to vote.

But in the end when I find out who voters did vote for, I do wonder-- who are we as a people? It's not a very happy question. Neither is knowing how few Americans actually voted to give us this result :(

At 3:37 AM, Blogger Mozart1220 said...

Sore Loser (anonymous) you understand completely how it works because you listed valid REASONS and called them "Excuses"

There IS Gerrymandering HOUSE districts (Florida is being investigated, though nothing will come of it) and yes, after the corrupt Supremes desided that the Voting rights act ws no longer needed, several southern states, within 48 hours of the decision, enacted ridiculous voter ID laws based on nonexistant voter fraud. This made it nearly impossible for the elderly and the very poor to aquire the proper ID's to be able to vote, even though their votes had been perfectly valid before. (Go figure those people usualy voted Democrat)This was akin to shutting Down ACORN, who's cheif purpose was findiing homes for the poor and elderly

Why? Because they committed the heinous crime of helping people register to vote, and driving those with no transportation to the polls. AT NO TIME was any evidence shown that they coerced or otherwise influenced people to vote IN EITHER DIRECTION. The GOP just knew that these people again, tended to vote DEmocrat, so they had to be stopped.

Doesn't it bother you even a little that your party has to cheat to win?

Maybe you missed all this because they never report it on Fox news.

Because you still believe that in some magic way this increase in the number of blacks voting GOP is due to the GOP being able to prevent some blacks from voting while allowing others to vote.

Because this reveals you plantation mentality that blacks do not have the ability to think for themselves.

Keep believing that the liberal excuses used are real and see how many more elections liberals lose.

This really sucks, if you're a Democrat.

A poll released Thursday morning shows that Obamacare was an important issue for people who showed up to vote, proving once again that the GOP has a mandate to change the law.

Only 12% voted to send a positive message about Obamacare while 28% voted to send a negative message. In 2010 when the “wound” was fresh, 45% voted to send an anti-Obamacare message.

The party breakdown gives an even better picture:

Only 4% Independents and 26% Democrats voted to send a positive Obamacare message. while 28% Independents and 55% Republicans voted to send an anti-Obamacare message.

The low interest by Democrats to defend Obamacare (only 26% of them) compared to the vibrant interest by Republicans to send a negative message (55% of them) is probably a reason why Dem turnout was suppressed while GOP turnout elevated. As Obama told the GOP during the shutdown: ‘Go out and win an election‘ if you want to change the law.

Well Mr. President. The GOP won an election. — an election where Obamacare was the most used issue in the ads in the closing weeks.

The Democrats are off to a quick start in getting at each other’s throats. With lightning speed, soon-to-be Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has sought to air his grievances and presumably shift much of the blame to President Obama for the Democrats’ loss of his chamber. In a remarkably candid exercise, Reid’s chief of staff, David Krone, has matter-of-factly supplied the media with time lines, quotes and precise accounts of the animosity that existed between the Democratic Senate and the White House during Campaign 2014. In a must-read, vivid piece from The Post’s Philip Rucker and Robert Costa, Krone is quoted as saying that they were “never going to get on the same page” and revealed that, after one meeting with the president, the Reid forces were left “beating our heads against the wall.”

Obama famously has no real relationship with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and the White House’s relationship with the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.), is openly hostile. As incredible as it may seem, all three of these Democratic leaders plan to hold onto their jobs for the next two years.

Undoubtedly, there are more specific revelations to come, but the comments from Krone are particularly revealing. Part of what is so astounding about them is that the dysfunction stayed hidden for so long. Was the media duped or compliant in not blowing the whistle on this? How were we this blind to the Democratic infighting? Evidently, the entire Democratic establishment, from the time the president was inaugurated to his second term in 2013 until now, had become nothing but a scheming, tactical political operation, bickering over money and positioning, with no particular interest in governing.

Lets hope America never elects such an inexperienced, incompetent bullshitter like Obama again!

Obama will not let the GOP take healthcare away from 28 million people, and the question is, WHY WOULD THE GOP WANT TO? Oh yeah, they have to erase Obama because they can't allow a Black president to be a success (which he is)

And if the America people didn't agree with Obama, WHY DO YOU THINK HE GOT ELECTED TWICE ON THE STRENGTH OF THE ACA?

The problem with this last election is twofold, first, for some reason young Dems don't vote in mid terms, which they will end up paying for in the end, and Second, the GOP went to great lengths to make sure liberal voters that otherwise would have voted could not, in the form of ridiculous voter ID laws that were completely unnecessary.

Cedar Rapids gazette, Des Moines register, USA Today

You might read "Grit" but I doubt it unless it's got pictures.

And I don't promote ANY "babies" being killed, but I have no problem with small blobs of cells, and neither do you, unless of course you protest fertility clinics, which dispose of more embryos every year than are aborted.

Id do however, promote the support and care of ACTUAL CHILDEN, unlike conservatives, who give up on em as soon as they draw breath. (Unless they are rich and White)

I wasn't aware anyone got a "Pace Prize" (Is that a NASCAR thing?) but since you are WHINING about Obama honoring Bush's agreement to remove troops from Iraq, why are you now WHINING about him sending more back to clean up Bush's mess?

Clinton was never actually "offered" bin Laden. There was an "offer" to reveal his whereabouts for a price of several million dollars. Intelligence said the offer was probably bogus and the people making the offer were not trustworthy. Clinton did the right thing.

But WHY was CHeney at the Pentagon on 9-11 given he had no political authority to be there, and WHY was Bush reading children's books in Florida? WHY did Bush sit doing nothing for 7 minutes while the nation was under attack?

Could it be that Bush was never really in charge and Cheney was actually running the show?

Cheney recently slipped on "Meet the Press" when he answered a question with "If I were still President..."

Very telling. He also answered a question outside the Pentagon on 9-11 with, "I was inside when the MISSILE hit and..."

Later it was edited to say "...when the PLANE hit..."

Oh, and "humor" usually indicates or suggests that something is funny. You are just sad. But at least you admitted it was you. Why not just stick to "Anonymous" , we all know who you are. No one else could be that stupid.

DNC chief: We have a problem

By Sarah Ferris
8762022

1248

The Democratic National Committee is planning a "top-to-bottom assessment" of its campaign strategy after suffering worse-than-expected defeats in last week’s midterm elections.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.), who leads the group, announced Saturday that a committee will examine the party’s performance in the 2014 and 2010 elections.

"We are going to look at where we fell short. We're going to identify our mistakes," she said in a video that was sent to party supporters.

"Our party has a problem," she added.

This year's midterms lost the Democrats a total of 12 House seats and seven Senate seats, a stunning blow that went beyond most election forecasts. The GOP also unseated three Democratic governors in historically blue states.

Can we say this is straight from the horse's mouth?

"Remember you "hate America" unless you vote for more of this.

More crazy talk from the losing side.

"The GOP war on women means women have fewer rights than men" And that's just the way Bill Clinton likes it!

"Bush Crash of '08" Funny how that started in 2006 when the Dems took control of Congress.

"who do you think was fighting against the Russians when they invaded Afghanistan"

DUH the Taliban, dip shit, that's who? Can you blame anyone for "disregarded the facts I(Mozart) presented", after all he isn't the sharpest pencil in the box.

" Black president to be a success (which he is)" Only in your wet dreams, Mozart.

"Clinton did the right thing" Tell that to Monica.

Time for 9-11 was an inside job crowd to come out of the wood work.
Tell ya what, you support my belief the FDR knew in advance of the attack on Pearl Harbor and I'll buy into the inside job theory.

What papers are those you read each week and how many hours a week do you watch the Fox News cable news? How many hours a week do you work Mozart, where you have to listen to Rush because your co-workers have brains unlike you and listen to him in your presence?

News Flash, 2014 midterm election results was the thumbs down to the Obama agenda, the voters want it to STOP, regardless of what you say Mozart. If this were not the truth, then the results of the election would be different. You can not dispute the results of the election, or can you?

Will Hurd, 37, heads to Capitol Hill from Texas’s massive 23rd district — the state’s largest, it shares 800 miles of border with Mexico — following his upset victory Tuesday over Democratic representative Pete Gallego. At a time when one of the GOP’s top priorities is broadening its appeal to blue-collar and minority voters, Hurd’s victory is instructive. What should govt do about this?

At 12:29 PM, Blogger Mozart1220 said...

Government should pass laws removing money from elections. Do it like England. Campaigns last 30-60 days and every candidate gets the same amount of money from a public fund. Repeal "Citizens United". Undo ALL gerrymandering and make House districts a grid system so Reps and Dem areas are fairly represented. Put the Voting rights act back in place so stupid ID laws (poll taxes)are eliminated.

And pass a law criminalizing LYING in political ads. It's illegal to lie in an ad for dish soap, why is it OK to lie when selling a political candidate?

But it would take an act of congress to do all these things, so it's never going to happen, especially with big money now in control of it.

And remember Anonymous, it wasn't long ago Republicans got "whipped" in the mid terms not to mention Obama getting elected TWICE and you all whined about "voter fraud" even though there was no evidence of it.

however, there is CLEAR evidence of gerrymandering and voter disenfranchising.

"there is CLEAR evidence of gerrymandering and voter disenfranchising"
WHERE and HOW?

Voter ID laws are poll taxes? Explain that. Do you mean that having to show ID to get on an airplane is a poll tax, or to get a library card, having to show ID is a poll tax?

"make House districts a grid system so Reps and Dem areas are fairly represented." And what happens if the numbers for one party changes, would you realign the district? Wouldn't that be gerrymandering?

Hold on to you hat, but I agree with you that federal election campaigns should be no more that 60 days long!!!!!!!!!!!
But the party primary campaigns can be as long as the want. Local and State campaigns should not be limited in length by the Federal Government. It's not the Federal govt call, its a State issue.

But I do not agree that campaigns should be publicly financed. Doing so would reduce the political power of the Unions. Further I do not see how it could be enforced any better that the NCAA rules about athletes not being paid by their school.

Now, I'll go into detail.

"America sliding into decay and disrepair while rich people get richer and 98% of the population suffers for it"?

See Above.

"LYING in political ads" Like Hope and Change, or GOP wants to cut S.S. and Medicare, or GOP want women to not use birth control, or GOP wants to return blacks to slavery? You mean lies like that?

Hope and change was not a lie, after the failed Bush administration the VAST majority of Americans were hoping for change, and we got it. Under Obama , economy improves, wars ended, stock market soars, tens of millions with access to healthcare, etc.
The GOP Campaigned on privatizing Social Security, in fact they have been wanting to do it for years, and they are not shy about saying so. Look at all the companies refusing to include female birth control in insurance plans. Hobby Lobby anyone?

"there is CLEAR evidence of gerrymandering and voter disenfranchising"
WHERE and HOW?

You ARE kidding right? Take a look at any states house district maps. Jeez man! Look at the laws passed in many "red" states right after the SCOTUS gutted the Voting rights act!

Voter ID laws are poll taxes? Explain that. Do you mean that having to show ID to get on an airplane is a poll tax, or to get a library card, having to show ID is a poll tax?

Getting on an airplane is not a constitutinally protected right, and many elderly or poor people cannot come up with the MONEY FOR NEW AND UNECCE3SARY FORMS OF ID! Many have been legally voting for decades and could not vote this cycle. Wow, go figure the poor and elderly in the south are minorities who vote Democrat. Also, you can't use an NRA card to get on a plane, but you can use one as ID in Texas.

"make House districts a grid system so Reps and Dem areas are fairly represented." And what happens if the numbers for one party changes, would you realign the district? Wouldn't that be gerrymandering?

The districts would NEVER be realigned. Why should they be?

'wars ended", Obama is sending more troops to the war that has ended?

"stock market soars", And it will until this administration stops pumping money borrowed from China to keep it afloat. I look for that to happen in late 2015 which should allow him to blame the GOP for the economic crash by election time in 2016.

"tens of millions with access to healthcare, etc." Obamacare premiums are going up 8% in 2015, vs the inflation adjusted 6.8%. Affordable because someone else is paying the subsidy.

Do you understand that much of personal wealth comes from investing in the stock market? So while you hate the wealthy, you're happy with Obama for providing them with the way to become wealthy?

Schizo man, totally schizo!

The right to vote, if you have the legal right to vote, is Constitutional provided for. Is it unconstitutional to ask for proof that you have that right?

About my agreeing with you on time of campaigns, forget I ever said it. It was an attempt to reach out to you with something we could agree on.
Forget about that ever happening again, you are hope less and 100% correct that you cant fix stupid, as you are living proof of same.

PS
THE GOP KICKED YOUR PARTY"S BUTT IN THE 2010 AND 2014 ELECTIONS.

Obama knew nothing of economics when he first ran. He never ran a hot dog stand. He still knows nothing and he uses phony numbers and phrases such as "saved jobs."

No one EVER used that phony term before he made it up (or one of his minions did).

He hasn't a clue.

Joe Wilson and Joe The Plumber were right all along!

Joe wasn't even a real plumber, and if anyone was the worst president ever it was Dubya. Once again, Anonymous forgets that 2000-2008 happened.

I challenge your BS assertion that 20% of all jobs are bartenders. Maybe in your backward southern state.

Are you SERIOUSLY saying the economy has NOT improved since Jan 2009? REALLY?

I maintain that Obamacare is A huge SUCCESS, JUT LIKE IT WAS WHEN Romney USED THE same plan in Mass.

In 2008 people hoped (actually PRAYED for a change and we got it in Obama.

Bush borrowed more money than Obama has. Bush took more vacations than Obama has.

ID is required to REGISTER to vote. It is not necessary to insist on two costly extra versions at the polls.

Clearly Anonymous is so deep inside the "Bubble" no facts can get through. I stand by my statements, he can't refute them. Hell, he didn't even know the Senate is part of congress, and has no idea who his congressmen are. He's a troll, hiding behind multiple names to make it seem like others agree with him.

Bush failed at every job Daddy handed to him. He couldn't even find oil in Texas.

Have a nice life Anonymous. Let us know when you graduate third grade.

Sucks to be you Mozart, but you already know that, don't you.

p.s.
watch for the Fed to raise interest rates in next 18 months, sure fire way to push the economy into a tail spin. You see, dear liberals, Obama has artificially kept the stock market growing by pumping billions of borrowed dollars into it and by keep the interest rate low. All this is doing is avoiding the natural correction any economy must go through to be healthy. This can not go one for ever.

GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY!!!

Scott Walker has won every round of his long fight with Big Labor in Wisconsin, but it wasn’t until November 4 that he delivered the knockout punch. In his third gubernatorial election in four years, Walker defeated Democratic challenger Mary Burke by 6 points. It was the same margin of victory he had in the 2010 Republican wave and just a point shy of his 2012 performance in a union-funded recall.

Walker’s victory has secured the conservative reforms he implemented in his first term and will encourage other governors to follow his lead. It should also make him a serious contender for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination if he wants it—which seems likely.

PS - Has anyone heard how Dave's date with that beautiful woman went? She is a knockout.

So the Federal govt should restrict access to the internet for those whose speech they disagree with?

You are ok with that??

"BTW, if your precious GOP heroes have their way, internet speech will no longer BE protected."
And the evidence you have to support your claim/fantasy can be found where?
Will the GOP takes the WH will you be ok with the Obama directed restrictions of access to the internet?

Chuckie just brought up the name of Jonathon Gruber,
who admitted that as one of the major writers of the ACA, they lied to the American public about the real cost of the ACA because in part, he felt the American public was too stupid.

Here's the youtube link www.youtube.com/watch?v=G790p0LcgbI (if you were watching Fox news like you claim to do, you would not have seen this as it was on MSNBC)

Are you ok with Gruber's statement being broadcast on MSNBC or do you believe the Federal govt should have not allowed the public to know this information? Do you agree with Gruber, that the American public is stupid?

Sounds rather liberal authoritarian to me, how about you Mozart?

P.S.

Two black males in Milwaukee walked up to the home of a white family, in a majority black neighborhood, and unleashed a hail of gunfire. A five year old white girl was murdered while sitting on her grandfather’s lap.

Milwaukee police say there is no question the shooters were deliberating trying to kill people inside the house. At least a dozen bullets were fired directly into the house. There may have been a third person driving a getaway car.

The house was located in a census tract that is 77% black and 14% white.

The Milwaukee Sentinel and Milwaukee channel 6 have actually been trying to downplay the murder. They are falsely reporting that it was “a stray bullet.” That directly contradicts all the evidence found by police.

If the races were reversed, this would be the biggest news story in the entire western world right now. Imagine for one second that two white males walked up to a black occupied home, in a mostly white neighborhood, and opened fire. Imagine a five year old black girl was murdered while sitting on her grandfather’s lap. There would weeks of national coverage. There would be documentaries. The story would be revisited by the national media over and over for the next ten years.

For decades, Midwestern black street gangs have used racially motivated violence against white people as gang initiations. The most common form is mob attacks on white college students. However, more and more gang initiations are targeting random white people for shootings. There have been numerous fatalities. Black on white hate crime violence is also surging due to media agitation over Ferguson. A panel on MSNBC even urged blacks to “make white people feel uncomfortable.” A statement that seemed to greenlight black on white hate crime violence.

Probably the little girl didn't have her hands up, and her grandfather didn't say "don't shoot"!

Howard Dean: Obamacare Created By Liberal “Elitists Who Don’t Fundamentally Understand The American People”…

Waiting for liberals to blame GWB or Romney for Howard's comments.

Note Howard Dean did NOT say "Liberal elitists".

They are corporatist elitists. Follow the insurance money. Period.

Isn't that correct, Sore Chuckie?

At 2:51 PM, Anonymous sore loser said...

HAH, Dubya back from his re-eduction on the liberal plantation.

Yeah, follow the money, goes straight from my pocket to gov to be redistributed in subsides to those who don't pay taxes. What's corporatist about that?

IT WAS A LIE TOLD BY THE LIBERAL WING OF THE DNC, TO FOOL THE
"STUPID AMERICAN PEOPLE" AND THE STUPID DNC MEMBERS OF CONGRESS.
Pretty damning, authoritarian, liberal, elitism, that by the way, NOT ONE member of the GOP vote for the ACA! The DNC owns this pie of lies,

Golly I wonder if there is an connection between the results of the midterms and this bit of breaking news? You think is anything to the fact that every democrat senator defeated had voted for the LIE called the ACA?

Liberalism has to lie and use mandates to get it's policy's past the American public.

Is it any wonder that Obama wants to now regulate the access to the internet? Can't have any truth competing with the lies liberalism's.

My facts are uncontested then.

Yeah, follow the money, goes straight from my pocket to gov to be redistributed in subsides to those who don't pay taxes. What's corporatist about that?

This is an example of a narrow mind with tunnel vision. The point was our money being redistributed into corporate pockets. How dim can a person be to not see this? Someone who ignored the facts about Wellpoint? AND they give the GOP more "Free speech" money than to democrats.

I suppose if one never heard of corporate subsidies, or who profits from Obamacare. How about the low taxes, and in some cases zero taxes, paid by corporations.

Then there are the war profiteers.

Ever hear of Halliburton and the Murderous thugs of Blackwater, sucking up OUR tax dollars for private profit? Blood money redistributed.

Real redistribution of wealth is flowing up to the elites. This is killing both democracy, and the economy, according to the IMF.

Sore Chuckie will need to ignore this and complain about feeding the poor again.

No, I stand corrected, narrow mind is two broad, closed mind would be the correct description.

Still trying to spin the failure onto Conservatives and the GOP. I guess when you have nothing else to sell but fear, that's what you sell.

Maybe it's time you awake to the cold hard fact that the policy's you NEVER spoke out against, were given an ass whipping. Instead of now claiming the policy's weren't liberal ones but corporatism. My how shifty of you.

I just hope E. Warren or B. Sanders gets the DNC nomination in 2016, the results should be an eye opener even for the die hard liberals/socialists. It's kind of odd that liberals claim the GOP is the party of old white men. Obviously they are overlooking the make up of the the new GOP Congress but are blind to the age of the DNC's current leadership. Young they ARE NOT!

Do you think this election's results were the voters blaming the black guy, or GWB? Sounds like blame Bush is the only bullet you got in your gun, Hah, hah hah.

net neutrality, IE: govt censorship and control of speech. How very ignorant.

From HuffPo:

Despite these results, it's still not clear that most voters understand what net neutrality actually is. Asked how closely they have been following stories about net neutrality, only 20 percent said they are following news of the net neutrality regulations "very closely," with 35 percent saying they're following it "somewhat closely."
What's more, the wording of the polling question querying these "likely voters" defines net neutrality in a very restricted way. The respondents were asked, "Should the Federal Communications Commission regulate the Internet like it does radio and television?" With a topic as broad, and as complicated, as net neutrality, such a question addresses only one small part of the whole picture.
For example, Rasmussen could just as legitimately have asked, "Should all internet users have the same access to the same Internet, regardless of how much they pay?" Or it might have asked, "Should broadband carriers have the ability to block or remove content based on their discretion alone?"
And, even though most Americans do not favor FCC regulation of the web, 55 percent do continue to support the FCC's regulation of radio and TV.

Sore Chuckie is definitely in the low information part of the population.

He wants the telecoms to control the internet and our access to information What a corporate shill.
