Onto Oblivion

It's almost over. Four days until Tuesday and it seems like an eternity. Anything can happen and no one seems to know how this is going to end. Any chance Barack Obama has of salvaging his presidency depends on a victory for the Democrats on Election Day. It's not bloody likely that his party is going to be able to take back the house, and retaining control of the senate is, at best, a roll of the dice. I won't be out celebrating if the Dems are able to pull off some kind of miracle. Both parties are hopeless - with one being just barely palatable. I sometimes feel as if I'm at a restaurant and the waiter is asking me if I'd like a glass of donkey piss to wash down the plate of elephant shit I've ordered. Really, it's gotten that bad.

I'm prepared for the worst - which in my case is the best. The lower this doomed country sinks into the shit-hole, the higher my stock rises. I won't be happy if the GOP - through election fraud and suppression of votes - finds itself in full control of both houses of congress come January. I imagine that a plutocratic dictatorship would be oodles of fun to write about.

"There's gonna be a lot of dues, Jim."

`
Then again it's possible that a decade or so of total conservative control of the government is just what the people need. Maybe then they'll finally learn the lesson they should have learned over a century ago: Right wing form of governance DOES NOT WORK. The down side of that scenario would be the fact that, at the end of that decade, their government will have ceased to be. That is the Republicans' dream. Remember the fantasy of Grover Norquist? His dream was to be able to shrink the government down to a size where it would be small enough to drown in a bathtub. We're on our way.

Think about this: During the final years of George Dubya Bush's reign of folly, the extreme right - for the first time in nearly eighty years - were able to seize control of all three branches of government. The result was the worst economic catastrophe in almost eighty years.

That's not a coincidence, folks.

I'm a bit numb at the moment. That's not the sort of state one wishes to be in if your desire is to illuminate and enlighten. Whatever happens come Election Day, I'll get by. To be honest with you I don't give a fuck what the final result is. As long as the day's events are amusing - that's all I really care about anymore. Isn't that awful? Maybe by Tuesday I'll be a little less apathetic. Maybe not. At least I won't be bored. That's something to look forward to, ay? There's always a silver lining.

Don't forget to set your clocks back two centuries on Tuesday!

SUGGESTED READING

Eleanor and Franklin
by Joseph P. Lash

This was the first of the FDR biographies to tell the story of Franklin's affair with Lucy Page Mercer - a distant cousin of mine (I come from a long line of home wreckers). Lash's prose takes a little getting used to at times, but he deserved the Pulitzer he won for writing it.

AFTERTHOUGHT:

I was just awoken from my apathy:

Get out on Tuesday and vote like your life depends on it.

America has finally awoken to the fact that the left's collective message is now nothing more than ringing a dinner bell for parasites to feed off of hard working hosts.

Yet the more parasites there are, the more hard workers are needed to support them...implosion. And still, the media is parroting Obama's anti-American rhetoric.

Why do leftists cheer on the introduction of a Marxist dictatorship into our once great nation? They don't seem to be concerned about themselves or their families becoming dirt poor proletariate at all. Vote these socialist chumps out on Tuesday.

Hard-Nosed Advice From Veteran Lobbyist: ‘Win Ugly or Lose Pretty’

“People always ask me one question all the time: ‘How do I know that I won’t be found out as a supporter of what you’re doing?’ ” Mr. Richard Berman told the crowd. “We run all of this stuff through nonprofit organizations that are insulated from having to disclose donors. There is total anonymity. People don’t know who supports us…you can either win ugly or lose pretty…Think of this as an endless war….”

We've been warned by former Republican Mike Lofgren:

If you think Paul Ryan and his Ayn Rand-worshipping colleagues aren't after your Social Security and Medicare, I am here to disabuse you of your naiveté. They will move heaven and earth to force through tax cuts that will so starve the government of revenue that they will be "forced" to make "hard choices" - and that doesn't mean repealing those very same tax cuts, it means cutting the benefits for which you worked.

Nothing is more anti-American than anti-democracy and anti-working class Republicans.

Bush left us financial collapse and a great recession. Vote GOP and let them finish us off.

The most basic totalitarian ploy is to attribute your own shortcomings to your opponent and to blame your failures on your opponent. Its the Alinsky way. Since the shortcomings and failures are there, you can succeed in blaming the other if your BS is slick enough.

If that's not the modern Democrats, I don't know what is. The blacks only vote blue but blame conservatives for "keeping them down" though all their leadership is liberal and conservatives have zero to do with their communities and representation. Progressive economic policies tank the economy and overtax everybody, but that too is somehow the conservatives' fault. They blame us for everything from ISIS to Ebola; like Ebola too is somehow GW Bush's fault.

The BS was working -- to a point. Obama DID get re-elected. Sadly for him and them, at this point the damage is just too extensive for them to BS away. The problem for us is that human collective memory is about as strong as a wisp of smoke in the wind, and we repeat all our mistakes cyclically. If we repair the damage Obama's done, there will simply be another Obama later to re-do the damage.

Reagan came after Carter; and though Reagan fixed things, here's Jimmy Carter Jr., aka Barack Obama. I just hope another Reagan's in the works. We need him, and we need him badly.

Don't even get me started on the 14,000+ illegal aliens registered to vote, where the smoking gun shows that when called upon for jury duty (only called because they were in the voter pool to begin with) they declared they couldn't do jury duty because they were illegals yet those same individuals not only registered but voted.

There were enough people who did this to make up the margin that Obama won the 2012 Election, so maybe he didn't really win but instead it was stolen just like the pregnant chads robbed Al Gore.

Thought I'd get this in about another billionaire liberal spending millions on liberal canadiates before Dubya rolls out his "they out spent us" whine after the election results.

Tom Steyer, billionaire environmental and political activist, told members of the Green Alliance here Friday he plans to remain involved in politics for years to come.

In what ways he intended to remain involved were unclear, at least to the public. The media was not allowed in.

Just before stepping inside, Steyer refused to answer a Watchdog.org question about New Hampshire’s Democrat U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s opposition to a carbon tax. During a debate Thursday night with Republican challenger Scott Brown, Shaheen said, “I have never supported a national energy tax.”

Steyer, by the way, arrived at the conference in a Chrysler Town & Country, a minivan more environmentally friendly than the Chevrolet Suburban that carried him and Gov. Martin O’Malley to a conference in New Orleans earlier this month, as Watchdog.org previously reported.

After the event, Steyer refused to answer a question about NextGen’s $239,000 donation to NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s Independent Expenditure Committee, responsible for the much-derided ad attacking Republican U.S. Senate candidate Corey Gardner over birth control.

“If Cory Gardner gets his way, you better stock up on condoms,” says a female narrator in the ad.

IOW get all you can free now!

Tell you what Dubya, the GOP has not given blacks this"

"But, as the Chicago activists pointed out, it’s incorrect to assume that only white people are guilty of this. Some of the worst imagery and stereotypes you can see are being perpetuated on black communities by black owned media outlets like World Star Hip Hop:

With its heavy use of physical violence and racial stereotypes….is one of the most culturally damaging media platforms in existence today.

So why do they keep doing it? Because they are making a lot of money. It costs thousands a day to keep a video on the front page of World Star, and promoters and record companies gladly pay it. Just like the politicians, the owners of these sites get rich exploiting the very communities they profess to serve.

The artists are no better.

At the 2014 BET Hip Hop awards, a reporter interviewed Young Thug and asked him his views on the Mike Brown case in Ferguson, Missouri:

Reporter: …What do you think needs to be changed in the way that black men are policed in america?

Young Thug: Leave that all with them critics and the laws and all that other sh#t. We havin fun, we iced out, we havin money, that’s how we doin it

Reporter: So you don’t feel it’s the artist’s place to speak out on social issues?

Young Thug: No

Young Thug is rich because his community cares about him. But now that he’s rich, he could care less what happens in his community. He’s having fun. He’s iced out. He has money. Forget about them.

The fact is, urban media does not care about the black community. Neither do urban artists. They only care about making money at its expense. They do it by promoting a bankrupt culture that glorifies ignorance and violence, and they justify it by appealing to materialistic greed.
And it’s all by design.
When hip hop first came on the scene, it was anything but violent. Pioneers like the Sugar Hill Gang were funny, energetic, even corny. Just listen to Rappers Delight.
The idea of cultivating “threatening images” came from record execs like Russell Simmons who needed a marketing angle to help their acts stand out from the crowd:

You also have to remember the state of black music in the mid 80’s… soft, unagressive music (and nonthreatening images) constituted the black music mainstream. So the first chance I got, I did exactly the opposite.

But perception has a way of becoming reality.
According to Simmons, gangster rap groups like NWA soon began to borrow “the aggressive style and swagger of acts like Run DMC and Public Enemy.” But they didn’t just borrow them. They took them to a whole new level.
NWA member Andre Young, aka Dr. Dre, quickly found out that rapping about violence was a golden goose:

“America loves violence. America is obsessed with murder…I think murder sells a lot more than sex. They say sex sells. I think murder sells.”

He was right. From the seeds planted by Simmons at Def Jam came execs like Suge Knight and labels like Death Row. But the artists at these labels were no longer cultivating an image. They were living the life."

In his letter, Smith cites a $15 million grant from the Prevention and Public Health Fund that the Department of Health and Human Services gave the California Endowment. The Prevention and Public Health Fund was created by the Affordable Care Act to support public health care initiatives. The California Endowment is a statewide, private health foundation that supplies grants for various organizations throughout California, and has served as one of the Obama administration’s loudest promoters of Obamacare.

Starting as far back as the 60s when LBJ sought to bind the african american vote to Democrats through a system of social bribes to the nefarious actions of president Obama as he uses race, gender and religion (and the IRS) to divide and confuse Americans in an attempt to implement their brand of social justice that appears to keep everyone down with the exception of Wallstreet bankers.

We need to understand that envy, jealousy, and class warfare, which fuels the typical economically challenged Pinhead Progressive, is a mortal enemy of economic growth and jobs. At the very least, class warfare means “progressive” taxation — higher tax rates on investors and entrepreneurs, eventually reaching confiscatory levels. In many places, class warfare has gone much farther with suffocating regulations, exchange controls, asset seizures, arbitrary imprisonment and other measures that suppress private property rights and throttle a market economy.

Confiscatory tax rates cannot be justified as revenue-generators, because they don’t raise much money. They discourage work, they drive away investors and entrepreneurs to lower-tax jurisdictions, and there aren’t enough rich people to keep the government going very long, even if all their assets were expropriated. If assets of the 1% were expropriated this year, that would be a one-time event, and next year government would have no choice but to plunder the middle class and the poor.

Whatever tax revenue is realized means less money available for private employers to hire people and less money for consumers to buy things. This offsets any possible benefits from government spending — the theoretical “stimulus” effect is zero. Look at all the taxpayer money flushed down the toilet that Obama gave to the green industry to support his crony capitalist green friends who made campaign contributions.

Actually, the economy suffers when money is taxed away from private individuals and spent by government. In part, this is because regardless how smart politicians and bureaucrats might be, they have only a miniscule fraction of the total knowledge in a society. Politicians and bureaucrats tend to have book learning that’s related to academic credentials, whereas specific, practical knowledge needed to make an economy work is dispersed among multitudes of ordinary people. This includes knowledge about the best locations for a particular business, individuals most likely to be good employees, changing consumer preferences, the most suitable business models, technologies and so on. The typical economically challenged Pinhead Progressive makes believe in his unicorn and rainbow fantasy world that building a business is as simple as following the steps to make something in a cookbook. "You didn't build that" is the typical refrain from these pinheads.

Private individuals not only have such knowledge, they have stronger incentives than politicians or bureaucrats to use the knowledge effectively. It’s well-known that people tend not to be as careful with other people’s money as they are with their own money like the Central Planning Liberal Fascists currently Occupying Washington.

At 12:43 PM, Anonymous Harry said...

Progressive taxation has survived as a dogma that the rich should pay higher tax rates simply because they have more money.

Like Obama, Schumer and so many others, today’s defenders of class warfare don’t feel they need to provide a moral, philosophical or economic justification for it.

The case for class warfare boils down to nothing more than envy and resentment.

It is thus envy and resentment that fuels pinhead Progressives like Dave Dubya to class warfare towards others who have achieved more in life than prison guard social status.

Do your research before you post leftist talking points and try to pass it off as valid argument. The Heritage Foundation's proposal was nothing like Obamacare. It didn't force people to buy medical insurance they didn't want or need. It proposed using tax incentives to encourage people to purchase CATASTROPHIC coverage. And BTW-- nobody on the right bought it. The R's had the Congress and the White House for several years, and was a bill of this nature ever even brought up? No. Why? Because it was and is a bad idea. The depiction of Michael Brown as a “gentle giant” (he was 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighed 292 pounds) took a hit when police released a video of him bullying an employee in the store from which he stole a $48.99 box of Swisher Sweet cigars. There are actually some Jonestown koolaid drinkers who claim the video does not prove it was Michael Brown.

The official autopsy, published by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Oct. 22, indicates Mr. Brown was shot at extremely close range and didn’t have his hands raised. He may have been reaching for Officer Wilson’s gun, said experts consulted by the newspaper. The autopsy found material “consistent with products that are discharged from the barrel of a firearm” on Mr. Brown’s thumb.

Other physical evidence also supports Officer Wilson’s account of the shooting, reported The Washington Post. So does the testimony of “seven or eight African-American eyewitnesses.” But, the Post’s sources said, “None have spoken publicly out of fear for their safety.”

Ponder that. The little gentle Asian man who was robbed and bullied in his store by the "gentle giant" and the seven or eight African-American eyewitnesses who are residents of Ferguson won’t say what they saw in public for fear of a mob comprised mostly of outsiders, a mob feted by prominent Democrats and national journalists.

The Ferguson grand jury will conclude its investigation soon. Evidence was leaked so it won’t be a surprise if no charges are filed against Officer Wilson. Authorities expect violence when a formal announcement is made, because the mob doesn’t care what the truth is.

President Obama and the Democrats promote class division and the demonization of Republicans, businesses and the rich as a means to retain control of LBJ's Liberal Plantation with all its free fixings.

Little did they realize that many of the problems which led to Greece's collapse can be seen in Obama's policies and platform promises. For example, much of Greece's problems have been caused by an unsustainable and counterproductive growth in the public sector and in labor unions. The Greek unions' demands have become more exorbitant over the years and place an extraordinary burden on the Greek government which can no longer sustain the silly and irrational policies once promised.

Sadly, Mr. Obama not only borrowed fake Greek columns, but he has adopted the same economic nonsense.

The Obots cried again when the Chicago Jesus proclaimed "this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal."

The Obots see him as a transitional president by virtue of his skin color. They will support him regardless of his policies or his errors.

Americans are promised by liberals that non citizens will not be able to get Obamacare.
Today this comes out:

Foreign diplomats stationed in the United States are eligible to receive subsidized healthcare benefits as part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), prompting concern on Capitol Hill over the Obama administration’s inability to explain the loophole.

Two leading Republicans are calling on the IRS to reveal exactly how many foreign diplomats have enrolled in Obamacare and the total cost of benefits they may have received courtesy of U.S. taxpayers.

“Many Americans would be surprised to learn that their tax dollars may be subsidizing health coverage for foreign diplomats,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R., Calif.) and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman David Camp (R., Mich.) wrote in a joint letter sent this week to the IRS.

Liberals would have us believe that every act of racism is done by a Republican. That is not factual truth, that is playing the race card, AGAIN!

Liberals claim white Christian conservative church's violate the law by mixing religion with politics. Yet they are blind to the political action that takes place in black churches, or mute.

Liberals believe that stating the truth about how voter turn out effects the outcome of an election is obstruct voting rights and democracy.

Liberals think this makes sense

There are FEWER government employees under Obama than Bush. Remember the entire Department of Homeland Security was implemented under Bush and he left us with MORE federal employees than Clinton.

Blame Bush? Bush, who? Right, Chuckie?

Where does Dubya get his info?

I’ll tell you.

From the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

In 2009, the union membership rate—the percent of wage and salary workers who were members of a union—was 12.3 percent, essentially unchanged from 12.4 percent a year earlier, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

In 2013, the union membership rate—the percent of wage and salary workers who were members of unions—was 11.3 percent, the same as in 2012, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. The number of wage and salary workers belonging to unions, at 14.5 million, was little different from 2012. In 1983, the first year for which comparable union data are available, the union membership rate was 20.1 percent, and there were 17.7 million union workers.

So the fact that Chuckie McStink ignores is there are FEWER union workers now than under Bush. Period. There were almost twice as many union members under Reagan. He fixed that. Look how better off we are now. HA.

From the conservative American Enterprise Institute:

On the other hand, total government employment — federal plus state and local — has fallen significantly under President Obama after rising significantly under President Bush.

Chuckie LIED about the growth of the public sector. Big surprise.

There is greater income inequality now, thanks to the crooked capitalists rigging the system in their favor.

What to do? The International Monetary Fund offers a clue:

Income Inequality Leads to Slower Economic Growth- IMF Economists

REUTERS FEB. 26, 2014

WASHINGTON — Income inequality can lead to slower or less sustainable economic growth, while redistribution of income, when measured, does not hurt and can even help an economy, IMF staff found in a research study released on Wednesday.
Even the Pope knows deregulated capitalism and income inequality are bad. Chuckie probably thinks the Pope is a liberal commie.

So once again, Chuckie’s LIES have been debunked. If he had a conscience he would thank me for setting things straight. But we know Chuckie is the sort of authoritarian discussed in John Dean’s book, “Conservatives without Conscience”.

Michelle Obama Falsely Claims Illinois Leads Nation In Job Creation
Michelle Obama

At a Democrat Party get out the vote campaign rally in Moline, IL Saturday for Gov. Pat Quinn, Sen. “Little” Dick Durbin, and congresswoman Cheri Bustos First Lady Michelle Obama said that Illinois was leading the nation in job creation.

According to the Senate Joint Economic Committee Illinois added 18,400 jobs in September.

By contrast the great state of Texas created 29,200 jobs in September in the same report.

So clearly Illinois is not the nation’s leader in job creation. Of course anyone living in this state knows that.

The truth is IL is 42 (out of 50 not 57 states) in job growth since 2009.

Must not have high enough taxes on corporations and rich white people.

Do you think the loss of union jobs might be due to higher taxes and regulations driving the mfg base overseas? Under Obama why have Union jobs dropped? Is it refusal to allow the pipeline to be built? Is it the unknown effects of the ACA on business? Is it Union's can no longer offer more to workers than non union jobs do?

Nah didn't think so. It has to be the Republicans fault. You know, they have controlled all three branches of govt the last 6 years. The GOP hasn't sent ANY bills to the Senate to be voted on. The GOP has over rode Obama's many veto's. Ha Ha Ha.

Or

"BWACK BUCK BUCK, BWACK BUCK BUCK, BWACK BUCK BUCK!

Let's get this straight, the reason Tuesdays election looks like a GOP wave washing over the DNC is because all the things Dubya has just posted are true.

At 7:34 PM, Blogger Dave Dubya said...

Thanks for the plug, Chuckie. Your kind sharing of my blog link will agitate some of your fellow cult members. That doesn't suck, actually. LOL!

Marv Chuckie,

OK. Let’s talk about honesty.

Michelle Obama would have been correct if she said Illinois was leading the nation at lowering the unemployment rate, which is sort of like a job creation rate. Job numbers in themselves would be higher in Texas, with twice the population of Illinois. It is called spin. Just like you’re doing in dismissing her as false without the full picture.

Once more, from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Twenty-six states had statistically significant unemployment rate changes over the year, all of which were decreases. The largest of these occurred in Illinois (-2.5 percentage points)

Georgia had the highest unemployment rate among the states in September, 7.9 percent.

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/laus.nr0.htm

So we can look at it this way too:

The Senate findings:

There are still 60,500 more people unemployed in Illinois than when the recession began.

There are still 168,100 more people unemployed in Texas than when the recession began.

So, proportionally, Texas created fewer jobs, and has more unemployed than when the recession began than Illinois.

Hooray for Texas.

And for honesty.

You’re welcome.

And thank you for saying the things I posted are true. Liars suck.

Face it, the white people ARE blaming the the Black Guy. Yes, the very same white's who put the black guy in office are not happy with the road he has taken our country. Voting for the black guy was not racist, but voting against the black guy 's party will be? Obama made this election about him and his policy's, liberals have tied to make it about racism.

This must really grind your gears, but Chris Mathews is on the record saying Limbaugh was RIGHT about Obama's immigration policy, or that there of.

Liberals, your chickens have come home to roost.

Drifting? I mentioned the Pope and YOU bring up the Kennedys. THAT is drifting and distraction. Another example of ignoring good faith discussion.

So are the Pope and Obama commies or not? You're not responding to any of my simple A or B questions. Not good faith at all.

Face it, the white people ARE blaming the the Black Guy...for the Bush Recession, for Bush's treasonous destruction of Iraq, for Ebola, for...you name it.

Obama lied, nobody died.

Bush lied, unknown thousands died...and are still being slaughtered by civil war and IS in Iraq.

Yeah, we get the picture.

One more time:

I can't wait for all that "Freedom" we're gonna get from the Republicans.

It seems to a big secret though.

No one said the WaPo is right or wrong?

How about Republican Hagel and the Pentagon on climate change? It's either right or wrong.

Which is it? Is Republican Hagel a shill for liberals? Or does he trust peer reviewed science more than Rush Limbaugh and the Chuckies of the lunatic fringe?

Who pays the climate change deniers?

Why do you suppose they do?

No answers are expected.

Authoritarian Trolls avoid good faith discussion.

Go ahead, make my day and run from the conversation. Make it about me or any other distraction.

What. A. Cult.

Government only reshuffles wealth, jobs and income; it cannot create anything on its own, as it has to take money from some in order to spend it on others. Any money collected or jobs "created" by government merely replace the private sector investment and job creation that would have occurred had people been allowed to spend their own funds.
Income inequality does not harm the economy. While the poor spend nearly all of their money, higher-income earners save some of their income, which is just as good for the economy as spending, if not better. Saving leads to more investment and greater national income in the long run.
Paying low wages is not corporate exploitation. Just as businesses have to set prices according to consumer demands, they establish wages based on the supply and demand for labor.
Environmental over-regulation drives up prices. Because the poor spend a greater percentage of their income, especially on energy, such over-regulation acts as a regressive tax.
Education is not a public good. While we publically fund K-12 education, it produces human capital that is privately owned by each person. While many defend public education because it is a "public good," it is important to realize that the ensuing benefits of education are not given away for free.
CEO pay may be high, but so is the pay to athletes and movie stars. Such pay may reduce a company's profits, but it does not reduce the pay of other employees, as their pay is determined the marketplace.
Consumer spending does not drive the economy. Saving more and spending less of our income will lead to greater wealth in the long run.
"Free" things provided by the government are typically low-quality and unnecessarily expensive.
Injustices happen. The government cannot correct every injustice, and every time the government steps in to "fix" something, it puts costs on someone else. Affirmative action policies, for example, grant college admissions only by denying admissions to other applicants.
There is no such thing as a free lunch. "Free" government services cost money. Similarly, raising the minimum wage gives money to employees only by taking away jobs and raising prices for consumers.

Income inequality does not harm the economy

Income Inequality Leads to Slower Economic Growth -IMF Economists
REUTERS FEB. 26, 2014

WASHINGTON — Income inequality can lead to slower or less sustainable economic growth, while redistribution of income, when measured, does not hurt and can even help an economy, IMF staff found in a research study released on Wednesday.

This is what makes a cult of true believers. Unsupported slogans and repeated propaganda.

"Obamacare" is a HUGE succes for those that use it. The only place it doesn't work is in red states that refused the exchanges and Fox news. The EPA works to help keep our water clean and air breathable. The FDA makes sure our food is safe. The Department of education sets standards so ALL kids have access to a good education. The only failures in those programs are from conservatives chopping away at budgets and adding loopholes so certain companies or people can avoid obeying the laws.

Name one CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN program in the last 50 years that's been a success.

Cutting taxes for the rich? NO
Needless wars for profit? NO
Citizens United? NO
Disenfranchising voters? NO
Outsourcing jobs? NO

Agin you only tell the fraction of the story that suits your agenda.

I never once GUARANTEED a Braley victory. I challenge you to find where I did, becuase I know you'll never find it. I NEVER SAID IT. But you keep lying like a good conservative.

The ONLY "Blacks and women" the GOP accepts are those (the token ones) that parrot the talking points but can't or won't think for themselves like Joni Ernst, who had no problem being interviewed on Fox news, but refused to talk to the Des Moines Register. She's just another version of Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman. She'd love to eliminate essential government programs to "balance the budget" but not once did she mention eliminating corporate welfare or cutting the bloated military budget. Go figure.

The GOP has to cheat to win. They gerrymander house districts and disenfranchise voters they know will never vote for them.

He has no sense that this turnaround is just the pattern of two corporatist parties frustrating Americans who hop back and forth hoping for representation. They won't get it, of course. They can't afford "free speech" as defined by the Republicans on the Supreme Court.

Time for more tax cuts for the rich and deregulation of Wall Street. THAT worked out to the Great Bush Recession. Next time will be worse, and more like the Great Depression the Republican Party left us for FDR to fix. Too bad Obama the corporatist is not an FDR. Ron Paul agrees Obama is a corporatist. He's right about at least one thing.

That number will increase, though the exact number depends on the outcome of several Senate races taking place on Tuesday.
