Meditations on Fred, August 2014
`
The following compilation of positively un-American, LEFT WING propaganda are unrelated  musings that I had placed here and there on various websites or way out yonder in the Facebooksphere. HAPPY READING!

1. The More Things Change....

This jolly little piece of infotainment greeted me this morning from a source called CLG News:

"For the first time since the U.S. 'withdrew' from Iraq in 2011 the U.S. Army is preparing to deploy a division headquarters to Iraq."

This is not a good idea, campers. When are we going to learn? Thanks to a century of meddling by the United States, Britain, France and the former Soviet Union (the main - but by no means only - suspects) the Middle East has been destabilized utterly and eternally. No amount of military force is going to change this reality. The place is broken and we helped break it. As someone once said, "You can bomb the world to pieces but you can't bomb the world to peace."

Iraq is in the process of imploding. The right wing is blaming the chaos on Barack Obama and the Democrats. If the president insists on going down this road, he'll only end up giving his critics something substantial to whine about. Ain't politics A gas?

PREDICTION: This is going to end very tragically. We'll just leave it at that.

2. Letter to the New York Daily News, 9/14/14:

"Hey, I've got a dandy idea: What if the NY Daily News - and all responsible papers - no longer run photographs of these ISIS freaks in the act of executing innocent human beings? Can't you see that by running these pictures (on page one no less) you're playing right into their gnarled little hands? From now on, please, merely report to us what they have done. Leave the rest to our imaginations."

They usually print what I send to them. They didn't print that one. Cowards.

3.  Quote of the Ages:

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free....it expects what never was and never will be."

Thomas Jefferson

Kiss this country goodbye.

Yeah, extreme right
4. Mallard Fillmore:

I don't know the name of the nitwit who writes the Mallard Fillmore comic strip (Tim Something-or-other) This much, however, is beyond certainty: Charles Schultz he ain't. But I make it a point never to miss his daily masterpiece of mediocrity and misinformation. In fact there have been times when Mallard is the first thing I turn to when I open the paper. Every morning, in a state of barely restrained glee, I'll find myself asking, sometimes aloud, "What moronic thing is this knucklehead going to puke up today for my amusement?" He never fails to deliver the goods - or almost never. Once, about four-or-five years ago, he actually made a point that I thought quite valid. I was in a semi state of shock for the rest of the day. Seriously.

The person who writes Mallard Fillmore is not only a racist (his tirades against blacks are a weekly delight) he's also an anti-Semite - worst than any seen in print in a very long time. His caricatures of Jews are about as blatantly stereotypical as anything put out by the propagandists of the Third Reich eighty years ago. If he's ever given the brush by my local paper, I won't lose any sleep over it; But if he's here to stay that's okay, too. Right wing lunacy can be quite entertaining. Mallard Fillmore is very much so.

I think of it as the Three's Company of comic strips: so mind-numbingly bad it's actually amusing.

5. Cruz Control

Ted Cruz made a minor tremor the other day at something called the Value Voters Summit when  he referred to the Democrats as an "extreme, radical party". Really? At a time when a extreme change in the course in our national affairs is radically needed, I can only say that if the Dems were one/quarter as extreme and as radical as old Ted implies I would still be one.

The senator from Texas is a satirist's delight. I hope he never goes away. He's the gift that keeps giving and giving.

6.. RUN, LIZ, RUN!

Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is the best thing to happen to progressive politics in this country since Eleanor Roosevelt - and there is a growing choir rising from her natural constituency that is not only singing her praises, they are urging her - begging her - to seek the Democratic nomination for the presidency in two years. It's a grand idea - sort of.

I'm of two minds about this: Yeah, I would love to see this woman as the standard bearer in 2016, Hillary Clinton, at present the presumed nominee, leaves me cold. Although Senator Warren's chances for living in the White House if nominated are not as sure as Ms. Clinton's, it's not the impossible dream that many people believe it to be. The problem she would have as president (and it's the same one that Barack Obama has encountered) is the obstructionism of the Republican party. This country is only going to be saved if the American people take a decided turn to the left. That's not going to happen any time soon, kids.

7. Texas Secession:

There is a movement now underway in Texas that would have that state secede from the union. This is where I let out a sigh of complete exasperation.

I don't think Texas independence is a particularly good idea for its citizens. This needs to be emphasized to these people as aggressively as possible because, let's face it, most Texans (or at least the ones who vote) don't know what's good for them. Just look at the collection of chuckleheads they keep sending to Washington and Austin! You know what I'm talking about?

In fact, secession is a perfectly hideous idea. It would take less than a year for its residents to realize that seceding from the union was a dreadful mistake. Without U.S. taxpayers keeping them afloat, the Lone Star State would have imploded decades ago. But if Texas insists on secession, fine. Let them go. Good bye and good riddance.

For one-hundred and fifty years this country has had to twist itself into semantic pretzels making excuses to the rest of the planet for the idiocy of that place. And if secession is really the road they want to go down, I propose that we erect a wall to keep out the tsunami of refugees that will surely be flooding our border in no time at all. If Texas wants to leave, then, by all means, let them leave. We certainly shouldn't come to blows militarily over the matter. A civil war over Texas? It wouldn't be worth it. It's not an asset to the union; it's a national embarrassment.

Let them have the right wing paradise of their warped fantasies. It would serve the silly bastards right.

One last thought on this subject: Can you even imagine the "nation" of Texas with a nuclear weapon? Wouldn't that be a hoot? Goodness gracious me!

8. "Blessed Are The Meek" - NOT!!!

They tend to refer to these right wing Christians as "religious extremists"; but if you think about it for a minute, that term is the ultimate misnomer. If they were as extreme about Jesus as they would have us believe, they would be spreading His message in EXTREME ways, setting EXTREME examples. For instance:

If Pat Robertson was as tuned-in to Jesus as he claims he is, he would be giving all of his treasure to the poor. He isn't. In fact, he's the part owner of a diamond mine in Africa. Any profit he makes goes to Pat Robertson. That's not very extreme, is it?

If these blubbering congressmen and women from the Bible Belt were as sweet on the Prince of Peace as they say they are, they would be demanding a ninety percent tax rate for anyone making over one million dollars a year in order to eliminate poverty in America. They won't. It's all about tax cuts (and more tax cuts) to a class of people who have more money than, well, God. That's not very extreme.

The problem, according to them, is all of those nasty, dirty and lazy poor people. Why don't they just get off of their butts and get to work! That's not very extreme either. Think about it.

And a final note to the racist, anti-Semitic "Christians" out there in La La Land: Jesus was a rabbi and He was not a white man. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Hypocrisy: It's prevalent, overwhelming - and so few seem to take notice. Strange.

REGARDING THE PHOTOGRAPH AT THE TOP:

Fred Allen 1894-1956
In Boston, on May 31, 1894, John Florence Sullivan was born. When he was a teenager he developed a juggling act for vaudeville. One day, due to an error by a booking agent, he was inadvertently billed as "Fred Allen". He liked the name so much he kept it for the rest of his life. Although he appeared in a number of films (some of them quite good) he is primarily remembered today (if he's remembered at all) as the greatest humorist who ever practiced the lost and lamented art of radio comedy. Jack Benny once said of him, "His ability to ad lib was phenomenal." That was an understatement.

Fred died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on St. Patrick's Day 1956 while taking his evening stroll down West 57th Street, directly across from Carnegie Hall. He was two months shy of his sixty-second birthday. He is interred at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. Whenever I drive by the place (which is not very often) I always stop by for a little meditation at the place where he sleeps. I visited there recently. Thanks to Carolyn Karkosza for taking the photograph - and to my old friend, Kevin Kelly, for turning me on to Fred Allen when we were still kids

AFTERTHOUGHT:

If you happen to find yourself in merrie olde Manhattan at any time in the foreseeable future you might want to check out the new musical, "Aladdin", now playing at the New Amsterdam Theater (214 West 42nd Street). I attended the show on Wednesday evening in the company of my dear friends, the Fabulous Sager Family (and Lady Nina). It was one of the funniest things I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Afterward, we had the opportunity to meet some members of the cast including Courtney Reed (Jasmin) and Don Darryl Rivera (Iago). They were very nice people. It was a sweet evening.

To order tickets by phone call (855) 870-2717. You will laugh.

1. PREDICTION: This is going to end very tragically.
I agree with you, for different reasons, but the end is going to be tragic.

2. Agree as nothing good comes out of showing the photos. Although I feel your reason has to be compared to your position on showing videos of the attack of 9/11, should the media been allowed to show the photos of the flag draped coffins coming back from Iraq and should photos of Bin Laden's body be shown?

3. Quote of the Obama age, "people do not have the right to unregulated rights in this country" Al Sharpton who has said he will be a consultant in finding AG Holders replacement.

4.I like my duck Pressed.

5. Who are you to say what a Christian should or should not be?

"And a final note to the racist, anti-Semitic "Christians" out there in La La Land: Jesus was a rabbi and He was not a white man."

Did Jesus call himself a Rabbi? Why do you? He was Jewish that's for sure. What human race do those called Semitic belong to? IE: Caucasian, Mongoloid, Negroid, and Australoid.

Jesus was constantly referred to by his disciples as "Rabbi" - for it is written. Honest! Check out the Scriptures!

Anonymous, I think Tom, and many others of us wouold like Christians to at least READ a little of The Jeus bits in the Bible, and stop obsessing on the old testement so much.

And maybe Sharpton said that, maybe he didn't. Either way it doesn't mean it's true.

Btw, by todays political standards, Jesus was a LIBERAL. Oh that gets modern "Christians" going!

Hay Anonymous here's a thought for you, if you can comprehend it.

If ISIS had shot those journalists would we even care? Don't you think they know that by beheading them we will overreact? They have practically "Double dog dared" us to start military action and as we all know, one CANNOT ignore a "double dog dare".

bin Laden once said he didn;'t have to beat the Americans militarily. We would beat ourselves by destroying our economy trying to beat HIM militarily.

Looks like Your boy Bush played right into his hands.

Spot on, brother. Preach it. My point to DD in the last post... Unfortunately, TBN and the 700 Club is many people's understanding of true Christianity. If it were my only exposure, I'd run away as fast as I could as well... The Osteenification of American evangelicalism saddens me to no end. All those who want to use His name are not His.

Yes Tom I know that's what OTHERS called Him, but that is not what He called Himself. Rabbi is defined as "a Jewish scholar or teacher, especially one who studies or teaches Jewish law, or a person appointed as a Jewish religious leader".

He did not make a claim to be any of those. At age 12 he went to the temple and amazed the elders there with his knowledge of what we call the Old Testament. What amazed them was not that a 12 year old would have this knowledge, but that someone whose father was a carpenter and not a Rabbi, and from Nazareth, (not the center of Judaism IE: the area around Jerusalem), would be so knowledgeable.

Jesus called himself the Son of God and the Son of Man, never Rabbi.
Matthew 16:13-20
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Thanks for you friendly, kind response to my post!

The word Rabbi is a bit esoteric and can take on more or less specific meanings - but really means simply "teacher" - which He was. Though that isn't ALL He was as you point out Anon.

In Tom's context (that it is silly for a person to claim Christianity and be anti-Semitic) I think his use of it was fine... He was very definitely THE Rabbi of Rabbi's in the sense He fully taught and quoted the OT often - as He unveiled His fulfillment of it.

What I find disturbing is when person is anti-Christian AND anti Semitic.

Yes Jesus was a teacher, I just don't believe he was recognized by the Jewish religious leaders as a Rabbi. It is interesting that the disciples told him the people were calling him a prophet. Not all Jews believe in the resurrection of the dead, so I wonder which group of Jews it was who thought he was a prophet who had risen from the dead?

Semitic people are of the Caucasian human race. Which I take to mean that Jesus was not Negroid, or Mongoloid, Asian or Australoid. Tom is of the Caucasian race and he, by the evidence of his photos is "white". So Jesus while most likely have dark skin and eyes, was a Caucasian.

Maybe I'm too literal?

Tom,

Seeing you in that photo, I am really getting concerned about your mental health.

I know you had your hopes of AmeriKa moving to a socialist Utopia led by the young smooth talking President with no experience who blew a lot of smoke up our asses but turned out to be the biggest flop in US history.

Now that Obama is going to bomb more of the Middle East including Syria that only our arch enemies (Neocon War Hawks Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz) dreamed about bombing, it looks like you have had a breakdown.

Even Dave Dubya will soon be ranting at the innocent people killed by Obama and his new war pigs.

"War Pigs"

Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds...Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait `till their judgement day comes, yeah!

Now in darkness, world stops turning,
as you hear the bodies burning.
No more war pigs of the power,
hand of god has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, god is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercy for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings...Oh lord, yeah!

Anonymous, do have any other sources besides a poor man's TMZ?

And there should be 10,000 times the outrage over MIchael Brown. as well as Trayvon Martin.

But we will justify THAT by criminalizing the victim. In a few weeks it will be forgotten in the wake of another shooting rampage. A few people will call for stricter gun control, but they will be shouted down by the gun nuts with NRA polital clout behind them.

One is killed in a WAR ZONE, know ing he could be killed at any second.
The other was walkung the street of an AMerican town, minding his own business until confronted by someone he should have been able to trust. A plice officer.

You tell US which one we should be more outraged over. Now if Brown had beheaded the White cop?

Fox news would be ON it.

Mozart,
Aren't you the one who said you wouldn't be worried about Muslim until they started beheading Americans here in the USA?

Let's go a bit further with your insight about risks in a war zone vs. the streets of America. The woman who was beheaded at work, is work supposed to be as safe as the street? Was the accused committing a hate crime against women? Your morality over the deaths of fellow humans seems a bit capricious to say the least.

What is your take about people living in New Orleans? They knew it was a location that could be hit by hurricanes, they knew there was a chance of floods from same, but yet they choose to live there even after knowing the risks? More interesting they knew the hurricane was coming. They chose to stay.

Using your example, why should there be any compassion for them?

And finally Mozart, why are you acting alike a troll by not staying on the subject(s) Tom has given? Why are you whining about Bush, again?

Good question. All evidence and information would tell us this is not true.

The owner clarifies that neither the management of the shop, nor any employee has ever identified Mike Brown as the suspect recorded in the surveillance video.

Broken eye socket, eh? Sounds suspiciously like another con-servative LIE.

Only the hateful racists of the RRBC know the real truth, right?

Theirs is the racism and hate that fuels fascism.

Sure you do, even in the face of over whelming evidence to the contrary, you will believe anything to avoid admitting you need to change you view about the Islamic threat to America. dailycaller.com/2014/09/26/sharia-law-is-coming-oklahoma-beheader-celebrated-terrorists-disparaged-non-muslims-on-facebook/
Talk about bubble cult!

Words can not express my absolute amazement at how ignorant of reality you are. Who are you to question when a person says they are a Muslim, if they are or not?

Is being fired an excuse for beheading a woman? The killer was black, his victim was white. No justice no peace!

State Rep. Christina “Tita” Ayala, D-Bridgeport, was arrested Friday on 19 voting fraud charges. In the immortal words of Mayor Richard Daily (D) Chicago, vote early and vote often." I think she was just being a Mayor Daily copy cat.

Do you want to blame Bush again or are you finished whining about him for a while?

Stupid Democrats like Tita give Republicans like Chuckie a tingle up their legs.

Yes, State Rep. Christina “Tita” Ayala, D-Bridgeport, was arrested on 19 voting fraud charges. She’s an idiot who should not be representing anybody. And she will never do so again.

It’s a good thing we already had laws against this, right?

Just in case Chuckie thinks Obama crookedly won 19 votes from Tita, we have bad news. He didn’t get a single one of them. Not one of those votes went to Obama. Or to any national office.

The votes were in various Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee elections, a municipal primary election and a state primary election.

And they caught her..even without a Republican Voter ID law.

So, thanks to Chuckie for that tidbit. We liberals, along with Chuckie, agree that this woman should be held accountable if she’s guilty of voting when, or where, she shouldn’t have.

But was Tita’s rampage against humanity and threat to American democracy as dire as the “Islamic threat to America”?

I would hope not, but only Chuckie knows for sure.

Chuckie reports what the “Islamic threat to America” has wrought. Never mind it was not so much terrorism, but murder at the workplace.

Deranged workplace violence isn't really just a Muslim problem.

I’d say this is deranged:

My Ancestors Who Are The True Jews Here In America Today Are Originally From Israel. They Were Bombed Outta Israel By The Roman Catholic Army So They Fled To Egypt And The Afrikans Sold Us To The White Man As Slaves Along With Any Other Black Person Here In Amerika Today Aka The True Jews From Israel.

Yeah, these are not the words of a sane person. I think the real threat here are the results from untreated mental illness and employment termination.

The killer was black, his victim was white. No justice no peace!

Yeah, these are the words that would draw a cheer at a Klan meeting.

Talk about bubble cult!

Indeed.

That's really more Chuckie's line of work. I'm sure he would rant at the innocent victims of war in Gaza...because in Chuckies bubble, there are no innocent Muslims.

That stuff goes over well at Klan meetings too.

Yes, the facts are settled that Michael Brown was not assaulting the asian man and did not break the eye socket of the policeman. The policeman hired Dirty Harry to break his eye socket immediately after the incident.

Yes, and the facts are also settled with global warming and the Northern Polar cap will soon be gone according to the top global warming, Nobel Prize winning, scientist Al Gore.

If a Muslim murders in America, liberals claim it's "work place violence". You know like the Ft Hood murders. Now we have the OK "copy cat" beheading and Mozart has his head stuck where the sun doesn't shine, in an attempt to avoid reality. Talk about a cult of denial! Why cant Liberal Humanists accept the truth as found on the murdering Black Muslim's own Face Book? Because it might mean they would have to blame the black guy. Almost makes you wonder if Mozart is a black man the way he defends any criminal action done by the persons from the "community" against their neighbors and whites as being not as bad a something else, somewhere else at some other time.

Reality is that all Muslims want the world to live under Sharia Law, and believe as good Muslims, it is their duty to bring that about. Their methods may differ, but their goal is the same. Must be some "obscure things on whacko websites". Just ask a Muslim, do you believe as a Muslim it is your responsibility to enable Sharia Law to be put in effect every where?

Liberal Humanists will rue the day when Sharia Law comes to their part of the world. And it will as long as Mozart and his kin are more afraid of saying Islam is NOT a religion of peace, than being punished under Sharia Law. Do you know what happens to atheists like you Mozart, under Sharia Law? Look into it when you are not busy surfing your normal sources of liberal hate.

As far as Obama covering for Bush, maybe it was on some "obscure whacko website", but didn't Obama say the war was over when he pulled our troops out of Iraq? Didn't Obama say Al Qaeda was no longer a threat due to HIS leadership for the past 6 years? Didn't Obama call ISIS the JV when he was asked about them as a threat? Didn't Obama draw a line in the sand?

Here's some history for you that might open you eyes to how a real leader leads. But I doubt it can cause you are too busy whining about GWB, but here goes.

JFK after the Bay of Pigs invasion took full responsibility for its failure. He correctly could have blamed the CIA and Eisenhower for the mess he was left with. But as a REAL MAN and being a REAL LEADER, he didn't. Maybe it was his Wacko (BYW that is how the word is spelled)book Profiles In Courage that has something to do with it. BUT Obama today blamed his intelligence officers for the mess he is now in the Middle East..

Ike was prepared to take all the blame if the D Day invasion failed. He wasn't going to blame his weather man or his staff or the troops.

Truman had a plaque on his desk that read, "THE BUCK STOPS HERE", not "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!"

Real Leadership is not leading from behind or from the golf cart or from Martha's Vineyard.

Reality is, Chuckie says many things that have little or nothing to do with reality.

Chuckie and his cult generally prefer to ignore reality and embrace their reassuring far Right indoctrination. They don’t want people to know this about them. They also don’t want us to know about this:

==

These are among the key findings of a worldwide survey by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life.

Muslims around the globe have differing understandings of what sharia means in practice…The percentage of Muslims who say they want sharia to be “the official law of the land” varies widely around the world…in many countries where there is strong backing for sharia, most Muslims favor religious freedom for people of other faiths… most supporters of sharia in Pakistan – as in many other countries – think Islamic law should apply only to Muslims… In most countries surveyed, there is considerably less support for severe punishments, such as cutting off the hands of thieves or executing people who convert from Islam to another faith… In most countries where a question about so-called “honor” killings was asked, majorities of Muslims say such killings are never justified. Only in two countries – Afghanistan and Iraq – do majorities condone extra-judicial executions of women who allegedly have shamed their families by engaging in premarital sex or adultery.

==
In Afghanistan and Iraq. majorities condone extra-judicial executions of women. What else do they have in common?

Under Bush and Republican "leadership", we fixed them, right?

#8 Meekness.
Surprise, I disagree with your understanding of the word meek as you explained.
Christ was meek when it came to defending Himself from those who were attacking him, see the transcript between He and Pontius Pilate, but not so in defending others, see His actions at the temple, the feeding of the 5000, the healing of the sick. Pretty aggressive actions that benefited others. He would turn the other check if slapped, but if one of His own was slapped, that was a different story.

Christ knew from the get go what His mission was, He also knew He could stop the trial and execution with just a word. That He choose NOT to is meekness, IE not using His power, rights, position, for His own benefit.

Don't forget that Jesus and his 12 Disciples had money, see Judas Iscariot's job. It would seem that Jesus did not give all of his wealth away. So to assign that requirement to Christians today is simply not correct. Your position does not support higher taxes, anymore that Jesus was against paying any taxes.

While I am not a fan of Pat Robertson (for theological reason) do you know how much he gives away to charity (I don't) and how much he pays in taxes (I don't)? In the realm of today's well known Christians, I would suggest Billy Graham should be the example of how a preacher handles his life and income.

Something you need to remember is just because a person says they are a Christian, doesn't mean that they are. I had a pastor say that when you get to heaven you are going to be more surprised by the people who are not by there, than the people who are. I expect you to apply the same standards that you apply to Pat Robertson to the Kennedy's, Al Gore, V.P Biden, E. Warren, Et al, IE: 90% tax rate, etc.

"they would be demanding a ninety percent tax rate for anyone making over one million dollars a year in order to eliminate poverty in America."

That statement needs to be addressed.

1. Would a 90% tax rate on millionaires do as you claim it would?
2. Is how much a person is taxed or gives away what determines their faith?
3. Is the "Bible Belt" the only place that is opposed to higher taxes?
4. Is there wealth in the rest of the country that favors lower taxes?
5. Why are your standards the ones that should be accepted as the determining factor?

Here are seven other recent cases of lone wolf Islamic attacks inside the United States in recent years:

Yusuf Ibrahim. In April, 28-year-old Yusuf Ibrahim was indicted for two 2013 beheadings. He allegedly shot 25-year-old Hanny Tawadros and 27-year-old Amgad Konds, then cut off their heads and hands. The two were Egyptian Coptic Christian expatriates.

Faleh Hassan Almaleki. Almaleki killed his daughter, Noor Almaleki, 20, in a parking lot in Phoenix in 2009 after she became “too Westernized” and refused an arranged marriage. He also used his car to assault the mother of Noor’s boyfriend. Ahmed Rehab of the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned the “domestic violence incident.”

Yaser Said. In 2008, Said allegedly murdered his two daughters after they began dating non-Muslims. He allegedly shot daughters Amina, 18, and Sarah, 17, on January 1, 2008 multiple times after luring them back home to visit their grandmother’s grave. Said is still at large.

Muzzammil Hassan. In 2009, Hassan cut his wife's head off because she filed for divorce against him. He stabbed his wife, Aasiya, some 40 times and then proceeded to decapitate her. Ironically, Hassan founded Bridge TV in 2004, a station dedicated to fighting “the negative stereotype of Muslims post-9/11.”

Mohammed Taheri-azar: In 2006, Taheri-azar drove his car into a crowd at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in an attempt to kill Americans in supposed revenge for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Naveed Afzal Haq. Haq attacked the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle in 2006 with a gun, killing a woman and wounding five. The feds didn’t charge him with terrorism; instead, state authorities charged him with murder.

Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad. Muhammad shot and killed an Army soldier at a Little Rock recruiting station in 2010.

First bombing of World Trade Center.

Recent contributions to World Peace by Islam

2014.09.26 (Barawe, Somalia) – A woman who ‘married several husbands’ is buried up to her neck and stoned to death.
2014.09.26 (Ghazni, Afghanistan) – Over one-hundred people are reported killed by an Islamic fundamentalist assault on their villages.
2014.09.25 (Rawalpindi, Pakistan) – A policeman shoots a Christian pastor to death who was in jail for a false charge of blasphemy.
2014.09.24 (Djurdjura, Algeria) – Fundamentalists behead a captured French tourist.
2014.09.23 (Mirpurkhas, Pakistan) – An Ahmadi doctor is brutally murdered in his clinic by Sunni extremists.

Something you need to remember is just because a person says they are a Christian, doesn't mean that they are.

Indeed.

We know them by their fruits. In this case the fetid fruits are LIES and HATE for liberals, Muslims, and the poor, along with their shilling for the servants of mammon.

So “seven other recent cases of lone wolf Islamic attacks” is proof all American Muslims want to kill fellow Americans? That's good enough for Chuckie and the Klan.

But it’s OK, or not worth mentioning, the “Christians” who murder doctors in their church and at their place of work for LEGAL practices.

America’s “Islamic threat” still has a long way to go to catch up with America’s number one government-hating, Christian Right terrorist Tim McVeigh.

Most important here is only "Christian hate" is acceptable, right, Chuckie?

No, these are not acts of aggression, but liberal acts for social good.

Aggression. What a mindset. Sorry Jesus was not the aggressor. The armies of empires are.

One could imagine a Christian would appreciate the truth when his falsehood is corrected. Reality is that all Muslims want the world to live under Sharia Law, and believe as good Muslims, it is their duty to bring that about.

Chuckie ignores the truth and spreads more hate.

But what does happen here is what happened to Chick Fil A or Duck Dynasty family or what liberals are trying to do to opposition speech, of a bakery if they wont bake a same marriage cake.
What is happening here is Minnesota Muslims Demand Pork-Free Halal Food From Welfare Food Bank.

Strange how if presented with historical factual events, counter to humanist liberalism views of Islam it becomes hate speech. In their opinion that is, as we must never forget that in humanism, there is no right or wrong, there just is. Strange how liberal humanists are now trying to tie Christianity to the KKK. Strange now beheading a co-worker is now called work place violence.
Strange how the act of Tim McVeigh condemns all conservative Christians but the act of Jah'Keem Yisrael does not condemn all Muslims. Strange how the government attack and murder of the people of Waco and Ruby Ridge is forgotten by liberals.

Sharia Law is the answerer to all the problems of the world, submit now and you too can enjoy the benefits of living under Sharia Law.

Illogical, for we all know that Chuckie is so wrong so often. The above falsehood proves this again.

Strange how the government attack and murder of the people of Waco and Ruby Ridge is forgotten by liberals.

This is a favorite line at Chuckie’s militia meetings.

Strange how liberal humanists are now trying to tie Christianity to the KKK

In Chuckie’s zeal to demonize liberals with hateful lies, he has it completely backwards, of course. The Klan are all self proclaimed “Christians”. THEY tie themselves to Christianity. Not a Jew, Muslim, liberal or atheist in the bunch. LOT’s of Chuckies.

Isn’t it ironic how Chuckie can’t see that a bakery that “wont bake a same marriage cake” and a “British KFC Refuses To Give Customer Hand-Wipes” are both cases of refusing service/business on religious grounds.
Refusing to do business with gays because of religion is the kind of Sharia Law that Chuckie likes.

I'm sure we can think of other areas of agreement between Chuckie and many Muslims. I would safely predict subordination of women, homophobia, denial of evolution, etc. are all part of Chuckie's Sharia Law.

None of these are humanist beliefs or sane Christian values.

Chuckie, and the Muslims he hates, are more alike than Chuckie knows.

He’s all about the bigotry, hate, and ignorance that the worst elements that some Muslims and so-called Christians embrace.

Chuckie’s “Christian Hate” reminds us that “Gott Mitt Uns” (God With Us) was the motto worn by Hitler’s Wehrmacht as they spread fascism across Europe.

Theirs is the hate that has, and continues, to fuel fascism.

And he just HAS to throw out another false wild accusation. You both claim morals are subjective or situational, that there are no absolutes, except that which you claim to be so.

Chuckie can add another LIE to that list he demanded, along with his other accusation and lie, ”Explains why abortion is ok as a form of birth control” I certainly never said such a thing, but his Cult tells him this.

So what is your plan to stop the institution of Sharai Law in the USA?

CUT AND PASTED...

"How many wars fought and how many people dead in the name of religion?

Pretty much all of them if the truth be told." - Mozart

Another piece of made-up nonsense devoid of even superficial critical thought.

American Revolution, French Revolution, Napoleonic imperial aggression, American Civil War, German Nazi Aggression, Soviet Communist Revolution, Chinese Communist Revolution, Korea, Vietnam, all wars fought in the 20th century for the most part. All of which account for FAR more death than former wars combined. An atheistic foundation played a large role in some of these, in fact. 20th century was the bloodiest EVER and virtually none accounted for due to "religion".

See if responds. Remember your point that he "agreed" with? Let's try it again.

Who agrees with Harley and me on this?

In reality, "the market" or "markets" are a social structure made up of the same flawed men as government. Modern laissez-faire capitalist proponents seem to me to have almost a Darwinian approach and go too far, stretching credulity. I truly think more (and better) regulation (in the banking industry for example) would have headed off some of the pain this world will some day endure - within the next 5 years most likely. Crooked banking, offshoring of middle-class manufacturing jobs, corporations owning politicians, and other factors could have been better managed for our country's well-being. Reasonable and right-minded regulation would have been better for us in hindsight.

I think we have to be intellectually honest... do our markets today really appear to be "free"? Not to me. They appear to be in the control of a very few central planners made up of western banking interests.

What do think he's going to do? (I'd bet he will continue ignoring this altogether, like he did the Pew Survey.)

It's a matter of degree and sample selection, isn't it? Chuckie has made broad and false generalizations about liberals, too many to count, and about all Muslims wanting execute us under "Sharia law", hasn't he?

Yes, some Muslims want to kill us and some wars were religion fueled.

Both of these generalizations reflect fear over fact. Neither were jokes, by the way. Chuckie was just up to his usual double standards of demanding answers for which he was unwilling to reciprocate.

I'm surprise you didn't notice this.

Does he still agree with your statement that I supported? Was he joking when he agreed? Why do you suppose he can't bring himself to agree with you when I do?

Well Gee Harley, lets see how about EVERY war in the Middle east from the CRUSADES until the constant conflict whe've known there.(REALLY, NONE of 20th century wars over religion?) There's a start. The Catholics and protestant have been going at it for centuries. WWI and WWII were geopolitical to start with but in WWII Hitlers main gripe was the JEWS. Keep digging into almost any war and you will find some sort of religious nonsense. Our Revolution had as much to do with NOT wanting to be mandetory members of the Anglican Church as any other reason, which is WHY there is a Separation of Church and State in the FIRST AMENDMENT of our constitution. Communists are known to be Atheists as you Neocons are so fond of pointing out, and if you look at more than the McNuggets of history you will fing that ALL wars started by the "Commies" were in part to rid us of religion. ( they didn't like sharing power with a God)
Napoleon thought it was his "God given destiny" to rule at least Europe (Read his bigraphy)

On top of all that, the KKK considers it's self a "Christian" organization, as do most of the "militias" that are out there playing army on the mountains HOPING for an apopcolypse so they can "set the country right".

So my statement STANDS as usual. Dihg past the surface(which conservatives never do) of almost ANY war, and you find religion.

"Onward Christian SOLDIERS, marching as to WAR"

It's even in the songs.

I also stand by my statement that all religion must someday be eliminated. It won't even have to be an overt act. Right now more and more young people are either rejecting or giving up religion because in the 21st century it's just too ignorant and silly to believe in such nonsense.

At 6:13 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mozart, your revisionism is appalling and laughable. You dig and find what you want to find - not the truth. Certainly not a defense for your silly assertion.

The World Wars had nothing to do with religion. Hitler's hatred of Jews was informed by nationalism and complex and perverse (and not completely understood) Nietszchean/Darwinian construct of races. He was not a religious man. The American, French and October revolutions were not religious wars.

Your understand of separation of church and state is off-base, too. That came into being more at the behest of the church than it did the state. The rationale was more to protect the church from the state than vice-versa.

Your assessment of religion is fueled by your hatred of it - and it fuels your flawed perspective on history with regard to it. You don't objectively assess it - that is clear.

Truth be told, ideologies closely linked with atheism fueled more killing in the 20th century than all the wars previous put together - religious wars included.

Occupy Member Arrested For Threatening To Bomb University, Rape And Decapitate Female Students

The charges of making bomb threats and sending threatening communications were filed against Derrick Dawon Burns, 21, on Thursday but sealed until his arrest, a release from the U.S. Attorney Stephen R. Wigginton said. Burns is being held without bond pending a hearing Wednesday in Chicago.

Postal workers discovered seven handwritten letters in postal sorting machines and collection boxes titled “The War on SIUC” or “The War on SIU,” court documents say. Another letter was directed to the FBI, and university police, staff, and students. “These letters collectively included various threats to rape and murder, to blow up buildings, and to cause major damage to property,” according to court documents.

One letter included threats to rape and decapitate female students, and said, “Give me $50 million or SIU is history,” court documents say.

“It’s going to be very hard to make a new world for yourself if Wall Street continues doing what they’re doing,” said protestor Derrick Burns, an SIU Freshman. “I was part of Occupy Chicago…I carried a sign, and on the back of the sign it said ‘the American government and Wall Street will hear from all of us soon’, and that’s true because you cannot keep treating people you serve this way.”

Totally a set up by the white racist justice system. Burns is black and therefore is justified due to the burning rage blacks feel because the first black candidate for President was defeated. Ah, wait a minute, its because as a black man, he doesn't have access to higher education. Nope it's because no one is listening to the black men today, people are afraid of them. Oops, his rage is because he spend quality time with Mozart on how to deal with whites, Christians and conservatives. That's it! He was exposed to the hate and rage of Mozart's liberalism.

After all, he seems to believe all Muslims want to chop off his ignorant, hateful little head. He even came up with a Muslim name for me. Wasn't that sweet?

Hitler's hatred of Jews was informed by nationalism and complex and perverse (and not completely understood) Nietszchean/Darwinian construct of races.

Hitler was not that complex. He was a White Supremacist "Master-racist". And as a fascist, he needed scapegoats. Never mind German Jews fought and bled at his side in the First World War. The same is true for the American radical Right. Liberals have fought and died for this country, yet are demonized and made scapegoats by our own homegrown Reich Wing. The fascist Chuckies of America need their scapegoats too.

This is why his is the hate that fuels fascism.

Wow, how ironic thet you accuse ME of that when it has been your alter ego (Anonymous) tactic for as long as I have read this blog.

As fr my "revisionism" I satn by it because like I said if you dig beyong the "McNuggets" of history one learns in High School you will find letters and essays by the founders where they DEFINITELY didn't want religion involved in the lawmaking process. They wanted law based on FACTS not subjective interpretations of a Bible most of them did not wholey believe in. Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were particulary against any form of religion attached to the government.

As for Anonymous, no one Blames Bush for Ebola, but since we have cured every case that's come near us and thousands of others in Africa, I'm not as worried about that one as many others are. It's just one more "We are ALL going to DIE!!!" tactic used by the media to improve ratings. Kind of like all the "Shingles" commercials out there. As for ther "Beheading" thing. I aleady predicted and explained the reasons for that problem. People know it freaks us out. They know it wil get our attention. That's ALL it is. If they shoot people instead of beheading no one cares anymore. The NRA even defends it.

Dave: "Clearly Obama is not committing murder here on this tape. It's self-defense."

But, Dave, she was an unarmed, 80 year old woman.

Dave: "Yes, but she was a white woman. And she triggered a flashback in Obama's mind. See, when Obama was a tender college age man, an 80 year old white woman told him to stop smoking pot on her lawn, or she would call the police."

Dave, that's not self defense.

Dave: "Yes, it is. She made him feel racially inferior. And, she implied that blacks have a disproportionate rate of drug addiction, and that hurt Obama's feelings. It was self defense."

Interesting to me that you have turned a discussion about the existence of a Creator into a polemic against Christianity. Well, if you ever find anything more about "the guy" please let me know - sounds like some fun reading.

Clearly you have not studied (beyond the surface sound bites atheists love to trot out) the Galileo situation. Some (if not many) of the churchmen had no big issues with his science - they were more concerned about his admitted desire to turn himself into a philosopher/theologian and engage in what they saw as unfounded and unwarranted innovation in what they considered their domain. Had he left off with his scientific theory he'd have not been entangled.

What you say about being used as a weapon against women is a lie and a myth. Christianity (since this is primarily what you desire to attack it is clear) actually elevated the status of women. Christ clearly taught (and practiced) a way that treated women as ontological equals with men in a society that did not. And, to hold to an understanding of abortion as being a heinous act is not aimed at denigrating women. Your charge about rape is an aim to use the extreme difficult case to define the subject - as is typical by someone who cannot or will not honestly engage a debate. It is childish. No one is saying there aren't difficult cases that present moral conundrums - and we can deal with those. It would be like me using Dr. Gosnell and proclaiming that the face of abortion, which I have never done. But could.

It is clear to me from reading your revisionism that YOU are guilty of internal revisionism no less that a religious adherent. It is false in every sense of the word that Christians ONLY are guilty of historical slant. As I commented on the Roosevelt documentary, it is darn near impossible for any historian to be 100% unbiased. For a person to ignore the parallel impact that Christianity had along with the Renaissance and Enlightenment in the rise of Western culture is willfully ignorant. Both the modern university as well as modern healthcare were heavily influence - if not downright created by - Christianity. And that's not to say there weren't other influences. But, to dismiss the role of Christians is ridiculous.

And, for Tom to allow you to talk about stamping out all religion and not comment leaves me scratching my head about his purposes in the blog. I'm really honestly wondering if this thing isn't a sham or a shell game of sorts.

That the Bush administration signed the status-of-forces agreement that included U.S. troops’ leaving at the end of 2011, is utterly meaningless: The agreement was supposed to be renegotiated eventually, to provide a long-term presence with U.S. troops in a different role. That’s why the Obama administration, however half-heartedly and with little regard for the fate of Iraq, did try to renegotiate it. And it’s why the Maliki government was open to these negotiations — the situation on the ground was very different in 2011 than it had been when Bush signed the agreement in 2008.

This blame the black guy stuff is what it utterly meaningless, except for the fascistic hate of writer. Nothing is ever Bush’s fault.

That’s why the Obama administration, however half-heartedly and with little regard for the fate of Iraq, did try to renegotiate it.

It takes two parties for an agreement. This projection indicates Obama DID try something, but no agreement was reached. Iraqis learned from the Republicans to NEVER COMPROMISE with Obama.

And it’s why the Maliki government was open to these negotiations

This is yet another lie. Yawn.

An agreement failed over Iraqi opposition to giving American troops legal immunity that would shield them from Iraqi prosecution. Legal protection for U.S. troops has always angered everyday Iraqis who saw it as simply a way for the Americans to run roughshod over the country, as Bush’s occupying legions and Blackwater thugs demonstrated.

Time Magazine: 10-21-11
But ending the U.S. troop presence in Iraq was an overwhelmingly popular demand among Iraqis, and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki appears to have been unwilling to take the political risk of extending it. While he was inclined to see a small number of American soldiers stay behind to continue mentoring Iraqi forces, the likes of Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, on whose support Maliki's ruling coalition depends, were having none of it. Even the Obama Administration's plan to keep some 3,000 trainers behind failed because the Iraqis were unwilling to grant them the legal immunity from local prosecution that is common to SOF agreements in most countries where U.S. forces are based.

Nope no mulligans for you allowed. says the resident authoritarian rule maker with double standards.

Chuckie has no actual authority for his dictatorial actions, of course.

It's the American way to be anti-authoritarian and progressive. The Colonial era conservatives preferred to remain subjects of the Crown.

Questioning authoritarians is the first step to free thought and adaptation to new facts and information.

Cons are convinced they already have ALL the answers, so they have no need to question their authoritarian masters. They are good authoritarian followers. (Read John Dean's book, "Conservatives without Conscience" for a clear study of the Right Wing Authoritarian Personality.)

For the radical Right, it's, "Full speed down the track to power and wealth for the masters, and ruin for the rest of the country. For we do not question our leaders and never reconsider anything whatsoever".

This explains why we will see another economic collapse and failure of deregulated capitalism when they seize power again. The lessons of history have been repeated enough to know.

It is so accommodating for Chuckie to display his classic authoritarian personality and its utter devotion to dogma and ideology. Always "Right", seldom correct.

This is a perfect example of the mechanism that allows their dismissal of truth. The con-servative mentality must adhere to its dogma, no matter the facts. No admission for error. No corrections for error. And no accountability for error.

And no mulligans.

We can thank Chuckie for this insight into the Right Wing authoritarian personality.

The sooner more Americans wake up to these guys the better off we all will be. For they want nothing short of a one-party dictatorship.

It's the authoritarian way.

Read "Conservatives Without Conscience" and you will better understand how the enemies of democracy operate.

“If they’re not lying, they are grossly incompetent,” said Mobley, a microbiologist and emergency trauma physician from Springfield, Mo.

Mobley said the CDC is “sugar-coating” the risk of the virus spreading in the United States.

“For them to say last week that the likelihood of importing an Ebola case was extremely small was a real bad call,” he said.

“Once this disease consumes every third world country, as surely it will, because they lack the same basic infrastructure as Sierra Leone and Liberia, at that point, we will be importing clusters of Ebola on a daily basis,” Mobley predicted. “That will overwhelm any advanced country’s ability to contain the clusters in isolation and quarantine. That spells bad news.”

Mozart loves sugar coated news as long as a Democrat is in office.

This will be the official liberal response to the midterm elections if they lose Congress.

1. Voter suppression
2. They were out spent
3. Media too conservative
4. Voters where not well informed.
5. GOP lied a whole lot
6. Voters are stupid
7. GOP stole the election
8. GERRYMANDERING
9. And disenfranchising as many Dem voters as possible.

Never will it be address that maybe, just maybe, the voters at least for this election are tired of Democrat not keeping their promises, and lies, and it's refusal to stop playing the blame game.
What is really interesting is Mozart claim that it's fear mongering that's causing the Ebola problem, and it's the media and it's fear mongering that is causing the trend for Americans to not trust Muslims. But ignores the fear mongering done by the left in support of Obamacare.

It is telling that on Ebola at least, Obama has lost Chris Mathews. Obama has lost liberal Eric Allen Bell on Islam threat to America. See Bell's book "Why I do not hate Muslims."

“A slapdash Secret Service detail isn’t what’s wrong with the White House — the real scandal is a President who is so complacent about protecting Americans,” the headline blares.

Piers predicts that now that President Obama went on “60 Minutes” and distanced himself from U.S. national intelligence agencies on the rapid spread of ISIS, he’s guaranteed himself leaks to the media for the remainder of his presidency.

“A more shameless, reprehensible display of buck-passing it would be hard to find from a sitting President,” he wrote.

The logic seemingly is that the loosely organized and culturally primitive natives the first Europeans immigrants encountered were foolish and naïve enough (not to mention given to the same kinds of greed and compromise as any human) to trust us. So, we should be as naïve and trusting and eventually be overrun as well? There are MANY differences between the two situations. And, the legality issue is obvious. They didn't have codified laws for immigration - the concept didn't exist in their framework. It does in ours. They didn't conceptualize of a global community. We understood that from the beginning. More could be said. I say this only to say it isn't a reasonable comparison and really has little validity or application towards our situation.

The basic point is well taken, but I swear, I don't get where the logic is supposed to take us?

Just asking?

No law, no harm, no foul?

The settlers broke their own "sharia", or Biblical, laws. Thou shalt not kill and Thou shalt not steal, being the two most obvious.

Chuckie's moral relativism ignores this fact.

In the RRBC, morals and justice don't seem to apply for whites' actions against non-whites. It would also grant complete legal immunity, without accountability to the public, for their corporate "persons" pollution and other criminal behavior.

Just as white persons are superior to non-white persons, corporate "persons" are superior to flesh and blood humans.

This is the fascistic, de-humanizing and demonizing nature of the Radical Right Bubble Cult.

Isn't that right Chuckie?

We’re sure Chuckie’s getting a tingle up his leg blaming Obama for Ebola.

Chuckie’s upset about more regulations not being imposed? What about his precious “small government” he wants to dismantle? Yeah, we all know Chuckie is a hypocrite. It was unpopular with both the ACLU and corporate interests. It had to go. Nuff said.

For the rest of the story:

The Air Transport Association had decried them as imposing "unprecedented" regulations on airlines at costs they couldn't afford. "We think that the CDC was right to withdraw the proposed rule," association spokeswoman Elizabeth Merida said Thursday.

Even in the Bush administration, some were skeptical of the CDC's 2005 proposal, said Stewart Baker, assistant secretary for policy at the Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2009. "There were a lot of questions about how plausible it was to treat airports as a place where you could stop and inspect and quarantine people," Baker said Thursday.

Anonymous, please explain how I am the racist when I am admitting we stole the land from the Indians? BTW, there are no "Native Americans." Even the Indians came from Siberia via the Alleutian land bridge.

It's like the term "AFrican AMerican". 99% of Black people have never been to Africa. I have a friend who was BORN in South Africa to American parents but since he has white skin and red hair he can't put "African American" on the form. You, as a batshit conservative should be the first one to want to just call peole "Americans".

But then hypocricy is your default position isn't it?

ANonymous, considering that nearly 40 MILLION people have participated in the ACA now, "nearly 100" lawsuits is pretty much nonexistant by comparison.

As for "the rest of you" paying for MY healthcare, let me remind you that Hitt Romney LOVED this law when he used it to great popularity and siccess in Massechusetts, because oit "got the deadbeats to pay their own way"

See, when a person who is sick ends up in the hospital and can't pay the bill, THAT STATE PAYS IT. Which means "the rest of us" are covering the ENTIRE COST.

The ACA provides people like me (self employed and no group plan available) and poor people to at least pay SOME of their own insurance premiums. It's a sliding scale based on income. It IS subsidised by taxes but it's cheaper to the taxpayer than before. Also, people like me (you know the "Takers") can get to doctors for PREVENTATIVE CARE which is cheaper in the long run that waiting until, in my case, they have full blown Cancer.

Of course, ALL you know about "Obamacare" is what Fox news spoon feeds you. You don't want to know the FACTS.

The FACTS are that the VAST Majority of people who actually participate in this plan (many of them conservatives) LOVE IT.

Hopefully soon we will move past it to a "Single payer" system like the rest of the civillized world, removing profit from our healthcare system.

Mozart,

So, first, thank you for ridiculing what the poster was trying to do - which is use the commonly accepted "politically correct" and sensitive label for the remaining people on this continent with predominantly "native" blood. Who, by the way, desire the distinction in most cases.

I'm assuming since you are so sensitive to accuracy in naming conventions, that you believe (as did the first explorers) that we actually are living now in India. I did not know that about you. That's a really strange belief - can't say as I've run across that before. Actually, we found out later on it was a wholly different land mass. We call it North America today.

The entire issue (of the Indian Mongolian Native long ago North American land mass peoples) is a red herring. It has NOTHING to do with the issue of today's immigration issues. NOTHING.

"Single payer" system like the rest of the "civillized" world, removing profit from our healthcare system."

You mean like in Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela? Health care is a business, a private business, or it was. It is not a service promised by the Constitutional. Nor is it a right promised by the Constitution.

I'm not fan of KISS, or for that matter the heavy metal music scene. But I've always respected Gene Simmons of KISS for his straight forward, out spoken views of what America HAD to offer and what liberalism HAS done to that offer. If you are able to watch a repeat of Dan Rather's "The Big Interview" on AXS TV, do so. At least the shows last half hour. Simmons says it so much better than I ever could.

Single payer system…

You mean like in Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela? Health care is a business, a private business, or it was. It is not a service promised by the Constitutional. Nor is it a right promised by the Constitution.

So far Right and so far WRONG, Chuckie at his finest.

You mean like in Cuba… Chuckie LOVES to conflate health care with communism. They need to do this in their cult to frighten people.

Health care is a business, (Yes), a private business, (Not always), or it was. (No, still is.)

And if health care is not a right, then everyone in Europe and Canada have more rights than we do. Why does Chuckie hate human health care rights?

It’s a good thing smarter people than Chuckie understand the Constitutional provision for the general welfare.

Health care is a service provided for the general welfare, which is Constitutional according to the Supreme Court. Yes, from Medicare to Obamacare. So Chuckie can stuff it with his wrong-headed ideas of the Constitution.

Chuckie’s gonna hate and ignore this: John Adams and other Founders instituted tax funded, government run health care.

Oh, yes, that would make them commies by Chuckie’s RRBC purity standards.

Even the founders taxed for health care.

Somebody better lecture John Adams on the Constitution. Apparently he and other Founders were some of those socialists for government mandated health care. Yes, the disturbing news is out. In 1798 the 5th Congress passed, and Adams signed, "An Act for the Relief of Sick and Disabled Seaman" into law. Thomas Jefferson was the President of the Senate during the 5th Congress while Jonathan Dayton, the youngest man to sign the United States Constitution, was the Speaker of the House.

The act provided for the Federal Government to build and run hospitals for sick and injured seamen. It was paid for by taxing the sailors.

Let this sink in. Adams and other Founders instituted tax funded, government run health care.

There is no such thing as a "native" American since no one is "native" to this continent. I'm sure you are on board 100% with the NFL Team from Washington DC calling themselves the "Redskins"

You mentioend only a FEW countries that have non profit healthcare, but I noticed you left out zGewrmany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, and many others that rate WAY above us in the quality of healthcare. Maybe in the USA it's always been "for profit, and maybe conservatives like you think only the rich should have access to it, but thankfully, your kind is dying off and a more "CHristian" ethic is slowly taking over. Remember, Jesus healed the sick FOR FREE.

My source of the "facts " is the growing number of people signing up for the ACA (At least in states that allow it)

I noticed you neglected to mention Romney's success with this same plan in Massechusetts. Go figure.

75% of Republicans signed up for "Obamacare" are satisfied with their plans, and 78% of people overall. I'd call that a "vast" majority.

The White House released a statement Friday condemning the beheading of UK citizen Alan Henning by ISIS, also referred to as ISIL.

"Mr. Henning worked to help improve the lives of the Syrian people and his death is a great loss for them, for his family and the people of the United Kingdom," the statement said.

"Standing together with our UK friends and allies, we will work to bring the perpetrators of Alan's murder -- as well as the murders of Jim Foley, Steven Sotloff and David Haines -- to justice. Standing together with a broad coalition of allies and partners, we will continue taking decisive action to degrade and ultimately destroy ISIL."

Obama reportedly was headed for the East Potomac Golf Course upon notification of the event and was heard to say "My condolences to Alan's family but there is no skin off my ass, its time to play some golf!"

I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary.

He knows exactly how smart he is. . . .

He knows what a good reader of people he is.

And he knows that he has the ability — the extraordinary, uncanny ability — to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. . . .

So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. . . .

He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do.

LOL VALERIE. THE WORLDS SMARTEST MAN HAD TO SEAL HIS ACADEMIC RECORDS.

I give Obama credit for bringing in lots of illegals who will end up being loyal Democrat voters in the future.

If they bring in a few 3rd World diseases that we have no immunity to, it's a small price to pay for turning America into a broken-down, defenseless nanny state that elects Democrats at every turn.

Ebola is just icing on the cake.

Thanks, Barack.

Mozart my marxist friend,

Obama is letting illegals from Central America come in and then the feds are putting them on planes and buses and shipping them all over the country.

They may well be bringing in stuff that we seldom if ever see up here in the Developed World.

From what I've heard, part of the function of Ellis Island was to hold people to see if they were healthy or not.

What kind of banana republic is just open to any and all who want to come anyway?

I fully understand that the left wants as many Hispanics as possible to sneak across our borders so they can later vote Democrat, but what about the good of the country?

It is becoming so obvious that even the low-information Kardashian voters are starting to notice that you guys could care less about the welfare of Americans.

The Commonwealth Fund underwrote a considerable part of the research underlying the development of the reforms in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, and reports of its Commission on a High Performance Health System (1995–2013) helped inform the debate leading up to this landmark legislation.

They are the ones who did the poll Mozart is quoting. Kind of like quoting a FOX News poll, right?

Chris Matthews: Didn’t Obama tell us it was “unlikely” Ebola would come to America?

Didn't Obama claim Al Qaeda was defeated and no longer a threat?

Didn't Obama tell us Islam was major thread in American's history?

Didn't Obama call ISIS the J.V.?

Didn't Obama draw a line in the sand in Syria?

Didn't Obama tell us we could keep our Dr if we liked them, Period?

Obama is in fact a highly intelligent thoughtful man, who has told us he is basically lazy.

Can we blame the black guy who brought the FIRST case of EBOLA into America?

Have you ever seen the movie "The Twelve Monkeys"? Great flick.

Still hanging on to your statement that all of this is just media fear mongering? Like when the media said there were 35 million, 40 million, 47 million Americans who did not health insurance? That wasn't fear mongering? How many Americans still dont have health insurance today?
