The Crisis is Here

Whitaker
As was predicted by DAMNED NEAR EVRYBODY, Jeff Sessions was fired as Attorney General on the day after the 2018 midterm elections. It's one of those good news/bad news scenarios. The good news is the fact that poor old Jeff will be remembered as one of the worst AG's in the history of Idiot Nation - although, to be fair, he's got a lot of competition from John Mitchell and Ed Meese for the title. The bad news is that he has been replaced by a Trump loyalist named Matthew Whitaker who as gone on record as being against the Robert Mueller probe. His appointment - like Trump's appointment of Brett Cavanaugh to the Supreme Court (who has stated that a president has the right to pardon himself) is a naked attempt at obstruction of Justice.

Constitutional crisis here we come.

The next few months are going to be the most harrowing and extraordinary times for this doomed country in many years. I'm not saying that the times will get as strange as they were during the American Civil war - that would be a stretch. But I can say beyond a half-a-molecule of doubt if that what is about to happen in America is going to make the sixties look like the Children's Hour. Mein Trumph's base is armed and dangerous - not to mention dumber than dog-shit and bonkers as hell. Oh, yeah. This is going to get quite interesting. Quite interesting indeed. Isn't modern America a hoot? This is going to end very badly.

There’s a little hope on this dismal Thursday morn….very little but that's better that's better than none, ay? We’ve been experiencing a near-constitutional crisis since the moment that this nitwit was inaugurated nearly twenty-two months ago. We’re about to step into the full-tilt crisis mode. I thought it would never get weirder than Dick Nixon. I was as wrong as I’ve ever been in my life. Watergate was a paper cut. This is a freakin’ bloodbath. We have held up a mirror to the American face and twisted smirk of Donald Trump is what is being reflected. I’m nostalgic for George W. Bush. Somebody shoot me please.

As a lot of us predicted two years ago when the American people stupidly sent this maniac to the house that was once occupied by Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt, this is was no a good idea. I never dreamed that I would live to be witnessing these things. We sure do live in interesting times.

SUGGESTED READING:

The Constitution of the United States - you know, that document in the National Archives that Donald Trump promised to "preserve, protect and defend"? Yeah, that one! If you still support this fucking mad man, there is no hope for you.

Oh, poor Tommie. The Apocalypse again. How many times is that now ?
I'm hoping the new guy Whittaker will restore justice in America. The last DOJ / FBI was as a comparison: more corrupt than dog-shit, and in Hillary's pocket as sure as hell.
Hope the new guy open the investigation into Hillary et. al. tomorrow.
That was the real "Constitutional Crisis" - the 2-tiered justice system.

Was Eric Holder an Obama loyalist?

Trump just added one more charge of "obstruction" for Mueller to play with, and even if he manages to fire Mueller, he can't fire the US House of representatives.

He and his kids are up on STATE charges which he cannot stop and cannot pardon his way out of.

Just the facts (clucky) Eric Holder is an AMERICAN loyalist, as is Obama. Holder didn't get the job by going on TV sucking up to Obama just so he'd get noticed. Holder was also LEGALLY appointed and LEGALLY confirmed to a job he was QUALIFIED for.
He wasn't put there just to obstruct a serious criminal investigation.

The old man is squirming right now, and undoubted throwing temper tantrums every hour of every day. Do you think he has ripped the portraits off the walls in the WH yet?...or will that happen after the indictments? ;-)

Do tell why Sessions has been such a horrible AG? Do you have specific reasons, sir, or is it enough to suffice that he is horrible simply because Trump appointed him?

I think Eric Holder would actually rank really high for that dubious honor. His lawlessness and partisanship in the AG's office was horrific. Some of his greatest hits include:

-Holder allowing Obama's extra-judicial killings of Americans on foreign soil.

-His support for warrantless searches of emails and internet use of citizens.

-Operation fast and furious and the cover-up including his being held in contempt of congress with a bipartisan majority containing 17 Democrats for failing to turn over subpaoened documents.

- His refusal to enforce the dully enacted law signed by Bill Clinton,The Defense of Marriage Act, simply because he didn't like the politics of it.

"Eric Holder proudly portrayed himself as Obama’s strong man. In an 'unprecedented' crackdown on leakers, he surveilled journalists and seized phone records. He directed partisan prosecutions, and famously ignored Congressional oversight." ~ The Hill

https://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/the-administration/323751-special-prosecutor-should-probe-lawless-obama-era-doj

His successor, Lynch, continued this lawlessness when she met with Bill Clinton on a Phoenix tarmac just days before an investigation of Hillary was wrapped up. Of course that was simply to just talk about their "grandkids" right?

What is comes down to is that there has been lawlessness and unconstitutional actions in our federal government all along. The difference is that you good folks only care about and blow things out of proportion when it is your political adversaries doing it. Frankly I condemn both sides when LEGITIMATE cases against them are made.

Anything can happen in, and during, a fourth turning. Things could escalate so far out of the norm, that the first American Civil War might seem tame in comparison. All bets are off during this most pivotal of turnings.

"But I can say beyond a half-a-molecule of doubt if that what is about to happen in America is going to make the sixties look like the Children's Hour." ~~ Tom Degan

The 1960s were an awakening. It was only the second turning - the "summertime" of the saeculum. We're now in the "winter", where major changes occur - It's estimated we may only be a little more than half-way through it. We have a long way to go.

To "what", is anybody's guess. Positive outcomes are never an absolute.

"Mein Trumph's base is armed and dangerous - not to mention dumber than dog-shit and bonkers as hell." ~~ Tom Degan

Certainly a lethal combination, by any standards - with the "dumber" and "bonkers" portions being the most deadly to a healthy and functioning democracy.

Paine, you are well versed in the sins of the Democrats, which is all well and good. It is too bad that you are not as knowledgeable about the sins of your side also. If you were, meaning all Conservatives, we would stand together and throw out 90 % of the politicians.

As it stands we are going downhill fast and the Republicans are playing a large part in the chaos ahead.

We are faced with an economic collapse, environmental collapse or a nuclear war with China and Russia. Will the Republicans save us from any of these calamities?

Clearly T Paine is spending a LOT of time watching Fox Entertainment. He's got all the BS talking points down pretty well. Too bad they have all been debunked years ago.

You forgot to blame Holder, and thus Obama for Benghazi, Hillary's E-mails and Barbara Bush's Hemorroids. LOL

Just the facts (Clucky)

Yes, they are finding ballots hidden and uncounted all over the place due to GOP cheating. Funny how they now think COUNTING ALL THE VOTES is "voter fraud".

The scientists behind a headline-grabbing global warming study did something that seems all too rare these days — they admitted to making mistakes and thanked the researcher, a global warming skeptic, who pointed them out.

“When we were confronted with his insight it became immediately clear there was an issue there,” study co-author Ralph Keeling told The San Diego Union-Tribune on Tuesday.

Their study, published in October, used a new method of measuring ocean heat uptake and found the oceans had absorbed 60 more heat than previously thought. Many news outlets relayed the findings, but independent scientist Nic Lewis quickly found problems with the study.

Keeling, a scientist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, owned up to the mistake and thanked Lewis for finding it. Keeling and his co-authors submitted a correction to the journal Nature.

Al Gore could not be reached for comment.

"Barbara Bush's Hemorroids (sp)" Really classy Mozart. The least you can do is learn how to spell the word. I'm glad I'm not a perfect rectum like you are Mozart.

Counting illegal votes is fraud. But you knew that

The Florida Department of State last week asked federal prosecutors to investigate dates that were changed on official state election documents, the first voting “irregularities” it has flagged in the wake of the 2018 elections.

The concerns, which the department says can be tied to the Florida Democratic Party, center around date changes on forms used to fix vote-by-mail ballots sent with incorrect or missing information. Known as “cure affidavits,” those documents used to fix mail ballots were due no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 5 — the day before the election. But affidavits released on Tuesday by the DOS show that documents from four different counties said the ballots could be returned by 5 p.m. on Thursday, which is not accurate.

Audio of a Florida Democratic Party caller leaving a voicemail message asking a Palm Beach County voter to fix their vote by mail ballot after Election Day, which is not allowed, was also sent to POLITICO separately. It was not part of the information turned over to federal prosecutors.

Among the counties in question is Broward, which emerged as the epicenter of controversy as three statewide races and three local legislative races went into recounts following the Nov. 6 elections. Republicans have pointed to embattled Broward Elections chief Brenda Snipes’ record of past election gaffes in arguing that the largely Democratic country is tilted against them — perhaps fraudulently so.

DOS officials have repeatedly told the media that the monitors they sent to Broward County saw no election fraud. It wasn’t until Tuesday that the office revealed publicly that it had turned over information to federal prosecutors.

I believe there have been obvious talks about drawing back the Trump tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations and extending the kind of tax cuts to the middle class that was originally promised to them as part of the sales pitch for the Trump cuts. So I guess you must have missed it. They don't talk about actual, useful things on InfoWars and the DailyCaller.

Trump is evil. Those who support Trump wittingly, or unwittingly, support evil. They support the dismantling of democracy and destruction of consent of the governed. They support fouling our air and water. They embolden the worst bigots and racists out there.

Anyone got a problem with these facts?

And that's how you plan to improve our economy, raise taxes on the group who pay over 50% of the income taxes collected right now??

Just the Facts! (aka, Majormajor here, and Timothy L. Trueblood when he files his taxes or votes), I see you're plagerizing again.

So...what alt-right nut-job blog did you lift this from? ;-)

You're not only wrong, but also incredibly shameless.

Hey, you never answered me...why didn't you meet me in DFW when I went through there last month? I told you my flight number and arrival time, yet you never showed.

KKKoward, perhaps?

At 6:57 AM, Blogger TB3 said...

No. That's not how I plan to improve the economy, Goalpost-mover. You didn't ask anyone how they, personally, would improve the economy. You said you were still waiting for the "Democrat plan". I merely answered you. Yes. You wilfully missed all the discussions on what Democrats intended to do. Had you opened your eyes during the long midterm season or bothered to do a modicum of research for yourself, you would have easily learned this. How old are you? People usually grow out of needing to be spoon-fed.

And, hey, since you mentioned it: You tax the people with the money. Whether or not the group of people "pay over 50%" is useless information. We have bills to pay and those tax cuts, in a real way, add to those bills. Fiscal conservatives.

"Just the Facts!" (an oxymoron if there ever were one), what is your plan to improve the economic plight of millions of working- and middle-class families across America? Don't tell me...more tax cuts for corporations and the elitist wealthy? ;-)

Tell me, how did last December's new tax law work out for you? LOL Did you have enough to say, "Super-size me!"

Cult got yer' tongue? LOL
