Going the Way of the Elephant

"Fascism should more properly be called 'corporateism' because it is the total merging of corporate and state power."

-Benito Mussolini

What the hell is going on with "the party of Abraham Lincoln"? You would think that in light of the crazy vibes they've been transmitting to an electorate that is becoming more alarmed by the hour, they might temper their act just a tad, wouldn't you? What with the midterm elections only a year away it would be in their best interest to grab the caution that they've recklessly thrown to the wind and reel it back in  just a wee bit. But no; this brain-damaged fish is putting on one helluva fight. With each passing day the rhetoric gets weirder and weirder. These insanity junkies are starting to make Insane Clown Posse look like the Archies. Whassup with that?

Surely these knuckleheads must understand that this basic, Civics 101 rule of electoral politics still holds true: A party that fails to govern will cease to be. And yet their behavior gets more extreme with the passing of every day. And did you notice that when the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was effectively gutted by the Supreme Court a month ago their craziness went into full-tilt-overdrive? Do you suspect that there might be a little bit of a connection there? You're getting warmer if you do.

Bad craziness and dysfunctional statesmanship be damned. They have no intention of losing control of either the House or the Senate in 2014. The Roberts Court has given them the green light. These disgusting bastards and bitches are planning a Thousand Year Reich. Sweet.

Benito Mussolini
DIXIELAND UBER ALLES!

The quote at the top of this piece by Mussolini should give us all a bit of pause. It was from an interview he gave in 1927 to an English-speaking journalist. El Duce (who can rightfully be called "the father of the fascist state")  was fairly proficient in our language so there is not a smidgeon of room for misinterpretation. This is the direction the Republicans want to take us. That is why they're trying to turn everything over to private industry - even our system of mail delivery. Why do you think they're trying to strangle the post office? These aren't mere coincidences, folks.

Think about this. In their sick efforts to privatize the prison system, what they're effectively doing is creating a brand-spanking-new, billion dollar behemoth. We all dream of a day when society's ills are washed away and our prison population is a mere molecule of what it is today. With the privatization of America's prisons (or "the prison industry" as they're starting to call it) the conservatives (Republicans and Democrats alike) are creating a new and potentially powerful corporate class whose very existence depends on those prisons being filled to capacity FOREVER!

Corporations are not created merely to whither and die. That's not what the folks who created IBM had in mind when they started that company a century ago. Their intent was for IBM to thrive and grow - and thrive and grow it certainly did. IBM is everywhere - just in case you haven't noticed.

With the creation of the Prison Industrial Complex, you will now see a new breed of lobbyists befouling the halls of congress. They will go there to bribe our "lawmakers" into passing more-and-more punitive laws in order to ensure that those prisons will be doing VERY BIG BUSINESS. We already have the highest percentage of citizens incarcerated than any other country in the world (Land of the free my ass). Expect a prison population explosion in the next decade. This is going to get interesting.

Whatever became of?
The GOP won't reform themselves  because they can't. They don't dare nominate a moderate because they know that by doing so they risk the certain defection of  untold millions of the Tea Party halfwits who will then launch a third-party uprising in the 2016 elections. That is the reason for the Voter ID laws. That is the reason for the assault on the Voting Rights Act of 1965. And please bear in mind that their idea of a "moderate" is Mitt Romney - you know - the guy that accused forty-seven percent of the American people of being beggars and thieves? - yeah, that Mitt Romney! In their eyes, the reason they lost last year is because old Mitt is a wild-eyed, unapologetic Lefty. I'm not making this stuff up.

What they have in mind for us in three years is nothing short of an electoral coup d'etat. Keep your eye on the shell with the pea inside of it.

Why don't you complain about Amerika's biggest monopoly which is the Public School System? Its sucks more and more money from the people with lower and lower results!

Tom, we have first class seats watching the U.S. turn into a third world banana republic. By almost every metric that you can measure, we are falling down rapidly.
The U.S. is now number 27 in lifespan and soon to hit number 35 if present policies continue.

The U.S. is also one of the more corrupt countries in the world now with a non functioning congress and an out of control military and police force.

I find amusing that Conservatives think that Republican politicians will solve all our problems when most of blame can be attributed to what they have done for the last 13 years,

Tom,

The privatization of prisons or school or...whatever...is essentially "choice," a word and concept that has been peddled by the Right. "Choice" is "good" and "choice" begets "opportunity."

It's nothing more than a sophisticated shell game perpetrated by the political Right to attack the establishment--whether it's prisons or unions or the public school system.

It's a shell game, as the GOP aren't really all that interested in "choice" or "opportunity." Were they, much of their platform from voting rights (aka voter ID), gay marriage, or even abortion wouldn't be a part of their platform.

If you're frustrated, fearful, fed-up, or angry; you're a good 'mark' for the GOP and their shell-game. They want you to be fed up--to give up and give over control to them.

Should you be angry--don't worry. I'm sure the GOP has a some people in mind to run those "privatized" institutions. Just look at Rick Scott's wife--her company was set to make BANK off that whole "privatized" drug testing of welfare recipients. Convenient huh?

I makes me wonder if the conservative constituency realizes that the very same politicians that say are "good for them and America," really don't care about them.

Do you think Nancy cares more about her own arse's welfare or the poor people's welfare?

The federal government estimated it has nearly doubled the number of data centers it had in 2011, now totaling over 7,000.

As the Federal Times noted, the “Obama administration estimated the government had about 3,100 data centers” in June of 2011. In June of 2013, a “recount yielded more than 6,000. Now that number has grown again — to 7,145.” Lawmakers released those numbers on Thursday, and the Government Accountability Office confirmed the figures.

Rep. John Mica (R-FL), chairman of the House Subcommittee on Government Operations, said the government will never meet its goal of consolidating data centers at its current pace.

A government official said that the “number of data centers has grown because of changes in the counting methodology and because agencies discovered more data centers that had previously been unaccounted for.”

David Powner, the director of information technology management issues at GAO, agreed. “There are some fundamental questions about whether the government really knows what it has,” he said.

The federal government will have one more data center when it opens a massive NSA data storage facility in Utah this fall.

More Damned Republicans

Four out of 5 U.S. adults struggle with joblessness, near poverty or reliance on welfare for at least parts of their lives, a sign of deteriorating economic security and an elusive American dream.

Survey data exclusive to The Associated Press points to an increasingly globalized U.S. economy, the widening gap between rich and poor and loss of good-paying manufacturing jobs as reasons for the trend.

The findings come as President Barack Obama tries to renew his administration's emphasis on the economy, saying in recent speeches that his highest priority is to "rebuild ladders of opportunity" and reverse income inequality.

Hardship is particularly on the rise among whites, based on several measures. Pessimism among that racial group about their families' economic futures has climbed to the highest point since at least 1987. In the most recent AP-GfK poll, 63 percent of whites called the economy "poor."

Must spread the wealth around move, huh liberals?

Yeah! I'm with Anonymous. Clearly this mix of finger twiddling, mild reforms which haven't kicked in yet (like Obamacare and Dodd-Frank, the latter of which is already crippled) and contractionary policies like the Sequester and vague but persistent deficit hawkery even in the face of a still-stumbling economy isn't working.
Who's up for a New New Deal and actual corporate tax reform? Failing that, how about we spend some money to fill in some potholes, repair/upgrade some bridges, and improve the aging power grid and sewer system? If I understand the polls correctly, bridges not collapsing is popular with a clear majority of Americans (with a 27% drop, if Obama mentions it).

Of course this is all because republicans are racist!

Nationwide, the count of America's poor remains stuck at a record number: 46.2 million, or 15 percent of the population, due in part to lingering high unemployment following the recession. While poverty rates for blacks and Hispanics are nearly three times higher, by absolute numbers the predominant face of the poor is white.

More than 19 million whites fall below the poverty line of $23,021 for a family of four, accounting for more than 41 percent of the nation's destitute, nearly double the number of poor blacks.

And then we can build new bridges and fix those pot holes with federally paid workers. Not sure what will happen once all the bridges and pot holes are fixed, like what will the workers do, but what the heck we will have great streets and bridges that be used to drive o the unemployment office, an Obama Care medical center. “get back to the employment levels like we had in the GWB days.!!”

Why would someone yearn for the Bush unemployment levels?

Back in 2008 we saw unemployment rise from 5.0% to 7.3%

Yes, it looked like change was needed.

By the time Obama was inaugurated, it climbed to 8.3%

The Bush Recession unemployment rate climbed to 10% before the Stimulus and other efforts began to kick in.

Now the unemployment rate is below what Bush left Obama. And the rich are doing great aren't they?

For an America-hating Marxist Muslim bent on destroying the country, that’s not a good record.

Looks like we need to get Republicans back in power, to get us back on course.

Mozart, I agree with much of what you wrote at 6:06 PM. The economy boomed in the 1950’s except in 1958 when we had our first post-WW2 recession.

As to taxes, the top marginal tax rate was 91% when Eisenhower was President but there was some welfare for the rich even then. I recall that in 1954 a “new” tax code was enacted that included a dividend-received credit. If you worked at a punch press in a factory you paid whatever the tax rates required, with no special credits for favored types of income. The 1954 Code brought in a special credit on dividend income. I recall that credit was deleted by the 1970’s and reappeared in the 2003 GW Bush tax cuts when all dividends were taxed at a maximum 15% tax rate.

In the 1950’s all taxpayers could even deduct “personal” interest such as paid on today’s credit cards, although credit cards did not really get going until the early 1960’s. The “personal interest deduction disappeared in the tax reform Act of 1986. In the 1950’s there was deductible “personal” interest on loans by small loan companies such as Household Finance, Beneficial Finance, etc. The companies were huge, just the loans were small. And in the 1950’s you could even deduct as a “tax” the fee for annual registration of an automobile.

Can anyone imagine that Eisenhower could be nominated for President by the Republican/Tea Party if he reappeared today as he was in 1950?

Does anyone wonder why?

I'd guess he's too busy pining for the good old days of skyrocketing unemployment under Bush. That would be so much better than the "Brave New World" of better infrastructure and health care.

You betcha.

Of course, as he wistfully dreams of a white in the White House and private prison profits, he wants us to understand the evils of public education and the special magic of charter schools for Republican profit.

Well, look no further for GOP cheating in their Charter School Racket:

"Indiana overhauled ‘A-F’ school grades amid worries about GOP donor’s charter"

INDIANAPOLIS — Former Indiana and current Florida schools chief Tony Bennett built his national star by promising to hold “failing” schools accountable. But when it appeared an Indianapolis charter school run by a prominent Republican donor might receive a poor grade, Bennett’s education team frantically overhauled his signature “A-F” school grading system to improve the school’s marks.

Emails obtained by The Associated Press show Bennett and his staff scrambled last fall to ensure influential donor Christel DeHaan’s school received an “A,” despite poor test scores in algebra that initially earned it a “C.”

When you lose, change the rules, move the goal posts, and start cheating. Just like how they deal with voter registration and poll access for elections.

How’s that for a classy mix of “compassionate con-servatism” and honorable, fair leadership?
More proof a vote for a Republican is a vote for one party dictatorship by the elites.

Obamanomics: The president has been decrying the growing gap between rich and poor in the U.S. to help sell his retread tax-and-spend proposals. But those policies have already produced record levels of income inequality.

In his speech in Illinois last week, and at events since, Obama described income inequality in the starkest terms. "This growing inequality is morally wrong," he said, and "undermines the very essence of America."

To be sure, income inequality is a standard trope for liberals, who always use it to advocate more wealth redistribution.

And Obama's latest focus neatly coincides with his plans to push for more federal spending and taxes on the "rich" in coming budget battles.

But what Obama conveniently leaves out of his sermons is that income inequality has grown faster on his watch than any time in the past two decades, at least.

Research by University of California economist Emmanuel Saez shows that since the Obama recovery started in June 2009, the average income of the top 1% grew 11.2% in real terms through 2011.

The bottom 99%, in contrast, saw their incomes shrink by 0.4%.

As a result, 121% of the gains in real income during Obama's recovery have gone to the top 1%. By comparison, the top 1% captured 65% of income gains during the Bush expansion of 2002-07, and 45% of the gains under Clinton's expansion in the 1990s.

The Census Bureau's official measure of income inequality — called the Gini index — shows similar results. During the Bush years, the index was flat overall — finishing in 2008 exactly where it started in 2001.

It's gone up each year since Obama has been president and now stands at all-time highs.

It's worth underscoring that the growing income gap under Obama isn't the result of the rich getting fabulously richer. Nor is it any sort of indictment of "trickle down" economics.

Instead, it is the direct result of Obama's historically weak economic recovery, which has left the rest of the country falling behind while the wealthy have managed to make gains.

Census data show, for example, that the poorest 20% of families saw their real average income continue to fall each year from 2009 to 2011 — the last year for which the Census has data — while the top 20% recouped losses suffered in the recession.

The evidence of decline among the nation's most vulnerable shows up elsewhere. There are 2.7 million more people in poverty than there were in 2009. And 14 million more are on food stamps today than in 2009. And after four years of economic recovery, there are still 4.3 million long-term unemployed.

Meanwhile, researchers have found that high-paying jobs lost during the recession are being replaced, if at all, largely by low-paying jobs in the Obama recovery.

All this is in stark contrast to previous economic recoveries, which generally saw at least some income gains across the Census Bureau's income groupings.

Despite this record, Obama's answer is simply to increase the dose of the very same treatments — more government spending, more taxes, more intrusions into the marketplace in the name of "shared prosperity" — that hobbled the recovery and produced the very misery he now claims he can fix.

In other words, Obama is selling snake oil. And that's what's morally wrong.

Dear Comrades,

The Federal Bureau of Investigation of the Department of Social Justice, in cooperation with the National Security Agency, is proud to announce its new program, the Proletarian Review of Information in Social Media (PRISM).

Developed by the State in its efforts to centralize the management of citizen data and collectivize all individual information into an easy-to-access and record format, PRISM now downloads and sorts all citizen electronic communication from a variety of sources, including (but not limited to) Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, and Apple iCloud.

On behalf of the workers and peasants of the USSA, PRISM collects data on potential counter-revolutionary activities while the reactionaries are still typing! This information can then be used by State security officials to not only identify potential saboteurs and terrorists, but also identify their nefarious plans and prevent them from undermining the safety and security of USSA citizens.

As we all know, suspicion of non-conformism and potential unauthorized activity is sufficient grounds for the searching of electronic devices in our Socialist Democracy.

However, PRISM allows the State to move beyond such primitive concepts as ‘probable cause’ or ‘hunches,’ and removes all doubt about what each citizen is thinking and doing.

Comrades, imagine what good the State can do for the Masses with such intimate and detailed information! Let us ponder how our social services can be better tailored to suit the needs of each citizen, so that social programs will fit each person like a hand in a glove!

Why do you care if Beck and Fox News are speaking for the GOP, just as MSNBC is the official voice of the left in America? If the GOP is going away because as you claim the failure of their policy's, wouldn't one think it's supporters (Fox, Beck, Limbaugh etc) would go away with it?

If the left's ideas are so great and the best, why do you want to shut down and end any opposition to your positions? Isn't that going to happen naturally anyway if your views are so great?

NOT from Fox News, Beck, Limbaugh but from MSNBC no less. chew on this a while Mozart.

On the Monday, July 29, All In show, MSNBC host Chris Hayes had to make a retraction for incorrectly citing statistics on Friday suggesting that a higher percentage of black murder victims are murdered by whites than the percentage of white murder victims killed by blacks.

Hayes had used the incorrect numbers as he mocked FNC's Bill O'Reilly for his recent commentary which dealt in part with black-on-black crime. On Friday's show, the MSNBC host had erroneously declared:

Well, now, O'Reilly's argument is that fear of black men is justified by the risk they pose. Well, here's some data that prompts the question, who should be more scared of whom? In 2010, according to the FBI's expanded homicide statistics, 8 percent of all white people murdered were murdered by black people. While 14 percent of all black people murdered that year were murdered by white people.

After recounting that many more white Americans die from various other causes than are murdered by black Americans, he mockingly concluded:

In other words, Bill O'Reilly, you have more reason to be afraid of your own swimming pool than any young black man you see in a hoodie.

It did not seem to occur to Hayes that the same logic could be applied to the likelihood of a black American being killed by a white American, thus undermining his disproportionate obsession with Trayvon Martin's death.

On Monday's show, Hayes had to correct himself, although he doubled down on his mockery of O'Reilly. Hayes:

On Friday night in our discussion of statistics about race and crime, I mistakenly inverted two numbers. In situations in which we know the race of the offender in a murder which is a relatively small subset, 14 percent of white victims were killed by black offenders in 2010, while 8 percent of black victims were killed by white offenders. On Friday, I said the reverse.

He then added:

But never fear, white America, because we also overestimated the number of white murder victims killed by black assailants in total. According to data from the FBI, as far as we know, there were only 447 white victims killed by black offenders in 2010. That is in a country of over 200 million white people.

When did democracy, expanded voting rights, and constitutional taxation and regulation of commerce become "far left"?

Capitalism thrives withing these ideas. Tyranny opposes them.

I oppose uncompromising, one-party rule, and corporate stooges dictating legislation and buying politicians. Is that your idea of "free market capitalism"?

Is opposing one-party right wing dictatorship also "far left"?

I got no problem with conservative people. My grandmother was one. She didn't need to buy politicians, deregulate Wall Street, and destroy safety nets for the poor and unemployed. She was a conservative with compassion, and accepted government of, by, and for the people, not government of, by, and for Big Money, aka Republican con-servatism.

It wasn't liberalism that caused the Bush Recession, you know. It was the Gods of Greed on Wall Street, your Mammon serving masters.

Of course extremists like you think Bush was a liberal, so there is no chance of reasoning with you.

Paging Rev Sharpton, Rev Jackson!

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A suspect remained on the loose late Tuesday evening, after stabbing a teenage girl nearly a dozen times just steps from her front door in the Woodhaven section of Queens.

As CBS 2’s Alice Gainer reported, Natasha Martinez, 17, remained at Jamaica Hospital after undergoing surgery for stab wounds to her back, arms, stomach and kidney.

Martinez was walking home from work alone around 11 p.m. Monday when a man came up behind her on 85th Street and plunged the knife into her repeatedly.

“She’s in the hospital in really bad condition, you know,” said Natasha’s mother, Wendy Martinez.

As CBS 2’s Don Champion reported, a surveillance video shows the stabbing suspect moments before his act Monday night, strolling along wearing a hoodie.

Investigators Tuesday had only a vague description of the suspect, who is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-6, last seen wearing a white T-shirt, police said.

Try again. Those pension'd librarians and garbage men rake in a average of $19,000 a year. Cops and firefighters get a pension averaging $30,000 a year (and often don't get Social Security to boot). The latter group can retire early, though, after putting in a mere career of being a cop or firefighter in Detroit. And both groups get retirement healthcare coverage, plugging (or helping to) the gaps in Medicare.

Based on this latest report we should see s sharp reduction in the number of Americans getting unemployment benefits, food stamps and free Obama phones, correct?

Isn’t it a scream to watch Barack Obama talk about the “middle class” and lifting the poor out of poverty?

It’s sort of like being a parent watching your kid lie to you when you know he’s lying to you but he doesn’t know you know he’s lying to you. And he keeps digging himself into a deeper hole and you just sit back, smile indulgently and let him dig.

If Obama was a child, it might be cute.

If Obama were just the fringe Leftist politician we all know him to be, but held no position of power, like say Dennis Kucinich, we could all smile and shake our heads and say, “Oh, isn’t that little tinfoil hat kook cute?”

Unfortunately for us, Barack Hussein Obama is a fringe Leftist kook occupying the most powerful office in the world.

As the availability of full time jobs crumbles and the number of people in poverty climbs, the über-rich have gotten even über-er-rich under Obama’s economic policies.

Because the point of his economic policies is not to lift all boats.

The point of Obama’s policies is to captain the Economic Titanic at full speed toward the iceberg of economic ruin. He seeks to keep the poor in steerage while he and his filthy, stinking rich cronies feast on caviar and Kobe beef in the fancy pants dining room.

"Liberalism has failed" is a favorite. No examples given because they have none. Wall Street has nothing to do with our economy according to the cult, especially when they can blame the black guy. The Right has blocked every jobs initiative by the black man they want to crush.

"the fringe Leftist politician we all know him to be"

"Black unemployment"...like for every ethnic group, skyrocketed upwards as Bush left us with a recession. Republicans and corpo-dems still resist efforts to repair the damage. The American people are nothing but pawns in their corporatocracy.

What corporatocracy?

This one:
Banks’ Lobbyists Help in Drafting Financial Bills

In a sign of Wall Street’s resurgent influence in Washington, Citigroup’s recommendations were reflected in more than 70 lines of the House committee’s 85-line bill. Two crucial paragraphs, prepared by Citigroup in conjunction with other Wall Street banks, were copied nearly word for word. (Lawmakers changed two words to make them plural.)

Way to go, Puppets of Wall Street. We know who you really represent. We know who really owns the Senate and especially the GOP ruled House.

"Black unemployment"...like for every ethnic group, skyrocketed upwards as Bush left us with a recession."

Still blaming Bush I see, still ignoring the failed liberal promise of 5% unemployment by 7/13 and the failed liberal policys that brought this broken promise about.

Interesting to note that when ever a liberal policy failure is brought to the surface, JTF ALWAYS blames someone else for the failures.

Liberalism to exist, must have failures and people who are victims and who are failures. Even if these failures and victims are the results of liberal failed policy's.

If people were allowed and encouraged to be self sufficient and free from govt to be the best they could be, who would liberalism help? What need would there be for liberalism? If we were teaching our students the only limitation placed on them are those they place on themselves, instead of you need help, no one does it on their own, your race is holding you back, why would there be a need for liberalism?

If is not reasonable then to conclude, that the last thing liberalism wants is a self sufficient population, with no victim, no oppressed class? And does it not also follow that knowing this, Liberals look for victims, create victims and discourage self reliance? If for no other reason than for their own self preservation!

Liberalism teaches that you are the little guy, you are the victim, you have no chance on your own, you can not be self reliant, failure is someone else s fault, that failure need not ever be experienced, that you are being oppressed by someone. That you can do nothing on your own. Liberalism needs class envy, and if there is none, then it creates it.

I believe at its base, Liberalism demeans the spirit of mankind. If there is evolution of our species, liberalism stunts us from the greater things that mankind can do with the freedom of self reliance, self determination, and seeks to cap that evolution with victimism and sharing the wealth.

Still denying the facts, we see.

Yes, I'm still blaming Bush for what he left us.

The question is why don't you?

I also blame Republicans and corpo-dems and their vast corporate lobby.

You are utterly incapable of seeing this reality.

You obviously do not know what liberalism is, but need to blame the black guy for the Bush recession.

You still blame a twisted politicized image of "liberalism" that is formed and directly fed to the masses by FOX(R) and Limbaugh.

You whine about "a liberal policy failure" yet there is none shown. I show you an example of Wall Street corporatism corrupting our government, and you want to blame liberalism. That's a perfect example of the right wing bubble.

Amazing. "liberalism" as you see it does not exist. It's a manufactured propaganda point like the mythical "liberal media". Your similarly near mythical so-called "job creators" have shown their greed and disdain for the American worker by pushing trade agreements and policies that encourage off-shoring our jobs.

Yet you serve their every wish.

You are blind to the fact it is corporate media and corporate Wall Street and corporate lobbyists that frame our information and government policies. Your bubble, like every authoritarian system, shows you which scapegoats to hate.

You are fed their politically crafted and deeply distorted image of liberalism, and you follow the agenda of the economic elites. Your ideology is utterly inseparable from the narrow agenda of the elites' efforts to keep and expand their wealth.

I've asked before if any con-servative could dispute this.

None have. Same old "blame the commie liberals" for everything. This is how fascism works. Substitute "Jew" for "Liberal" and see how this is true.

Right wing extremists hate liberals like Nazis hated Jews, and for the same reason. It is scapegoating done in interests of expanding Right Wing power. Note the above unbridled cackling over the loss of pensions and ripping off of the elderly.

Nothing you characterize about liberals is true, as you portray utter lack of compassion and understanding.

In your world’s frame of view, providing relief for the needy and medical care for the poor is identical to promoting poverty and disease. That’s how twisted the indoctrination is.

You can open your mind to this reality or, cling to your cult indoctrination.

But as we know, you've surrendered your will and mind to the cult. You are a true believer.

I have given you the opportunity to show us where you disagree with the narrow agenda of corporate right wing power. You cannot do so.

Like a good fascist or cult member, you can only believe your leaders propaganda.

So go ahead, blame liberals. It's all you can do. You can't even blame Bush anymore, can you? You can't blame Wall Street either. You can’t blame the corrupting power of big money.

What does that say about your cult?

Yeah, blame liberals.

Just the Facts,

I blame Bush and the congress in power his last two years in office for the recession. I blame the half black guy in the Whitehouse for promising us his liberal policy's would end the recession and that unemployment would be at 5% now for the failure that we are still in a recession. I blame the half back guy in the Whitehouse for failing to get the people that murdered our Ambassador like he promised. I blame the half black guy in the Whitehouse for the out of control unemployment rate for teenage balks ( must be his racist white half causing that).

And I blame you Just the Facts to resorting as you always do to name calling, assumptions and avoiding the root of my post in an effort to dodge the FACTS that you can not avoid. You can rant about Limbaugh, Beck, Fox News, Tea Party and any other group you want to focus on in an attempt to deflect the light of truth on your liberal failures.
But the truth still shines through your liberal fog of deception and deceit. If there were no victims, there would be no need for liberalism. So it's in the best interest of liberalism to create victims in order to be relevant, or else who would need them?

Just the Facts, you have misnamed your self, you should be called

Ah, the simplicity of cult dogma:

If there were no victims, there would be no need for liberalism.

Ah, so there ARE victims? Then the question becomes, victims of what? Victims of unemployment, sickness, age, disability and off-shoring of jobs by de-regulated capitalism and corporate sponsored trade agreements?

Or what about victims of the Wall Street mortgage backed derivatives scam? Victims of lost pensions and underwater mortgages, evictions and foreclosures?

Con-servatives fixed that by taking Wall Street campaign cash and offering more de-regulation for big banks.

The Bush war/recession is one huge conservative failure.

We saw big time con-servative failure on 9-11, after the Bush White House ignored warnings about al-Qaeda from Richard Clarke, as he was excluded from cabinet meetings. We see big time con-servative failures lingering from Bush's war based on lies in Iraq and his recession, don't we?

Yet you want to blame the black guy more for not fixing Bush’s mess, than you do for Bush creating it.

How fair and balanced. Not at all racist, I'm sure.

But never mind the victims of war and recession, for these are con-servative failures.

What are the con-servative solutions? Where is their so-called "con-servative compassion"?

Here’s exactly what their “solutions” look like.

De-regulate Wall Street, cut food stamps. gut unemployment benefits, gut medicare, gut social security...and give the rich more tax breaks.

If liberalism is helping victims, what does con-servatism offer, besides contempt and scorn for victims of con-servative failures?

your liberal failures

Still none cited, sport.

Among liberal successes, all opposed by conservatives at the time, we find:

The founding of the United States of America.

The defeat of the Confederacy and abolition of slavery.

Suffrage for women.

Social Security that keeps the elderly out of poverty and the disabled fed and sheltered.

Medicare that provides treatment for the sick and injured poor.

The Civil Rights Act (The original bill was crafted and drafted in the Department of Justice, headed by Attorney General Robert Kennedy. Opposed by conservative Southern Democrats and supported by Northern Democrats and moderate Northern Republicans.)

More recently we have emerging marriage equality and reduced bigotry toward the gay community.

Not a failure in the entire liberal bunch. It’s called progress, and progressives are the reason for it. That would be the real “liberalism”, as defined by acts, instead of defined by the radical Right,

No deception, just the facts.

At 8:51 PM, Anonymous Chuck Morre said...

You must be out of your head, giving liberals the credit for the Union wining of the Civil war and ending slavery, while at the same time their are liberals today who claim the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery. And if the Civil War as a policy was so great why do we have to have the Civil Rights Act? Problems surrounding slavery still trying to be fixed by liberal policy's to this day, with no success.

What you use s the term liberal at the time, which is 100% different that what liberal today means.

Liberal then meant freedom from govt abuse and taxes and restriction of free enterprise. Conservative meant the support for the Kings Law.

Today, liberals want restriction of free enterprise, and want taxes increased and personal freedom reduced and replaced on reliance of the Central Govt.

Complete opposite of what today's conservatives want.

My question was name one liberal policy that has worked and is no longer needed due to it's success in dealing with the problem it was attempting to address. You could not name one. If S.S. and Medicare are success in addressing the problems you site, why are they still around? If they are so successful, how come they haven't solved the problems you listed? Instead of just touching on the edges and wrapping your self in your robe of liberal feel good, cause we did something, even if the problem is still with us! How is that "progressive"?

Success is when the program is no longer needed because it's solution has fixed the problem for which it was created. Example, LBJ's War on Poverty, when is the war going to be won? Hate Crime Legislation, has it ended Hate Crimes? Name a liberal policy that has ended because it was successful!

Success should not be measured by the numbers of people on a govt program, but the number of people who because of the govt program, no longer need it and are now self sufficient! But as I said, if that were to happen, who would need liberals?

Another liberal policy failure!

Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol remarked on Sunday that President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign rhetoric on foreign policy stood in stark contrast to the turmoil in the Middle East stirred by threats from al-Qaida, pointing out that the U.S. closed 22 embassies throughout the Muslim world.

“Four years ago President Obama gave a much heralded speech as outreach to the Muslim world,” Kristol said. “And now, four years later we are closing embassies throughout the Muslim world. A year ago, the president said al-Qaida is on the run. And now we seem to be on the run.”

“I’m not criticizing the decision to close the embassies. That’s probably the right thing to do for the sake of trying to save American lives and others, but it’s a terrible thing,” he added. “That you know, just a year ago boasting al-Qaida is on the run and Osama bin Laden is dead.”

As I asked you before and you didn't respond. How did Constitutional "promote the general welfare",taxation and regulation of commerce become left wing? Sounds like you have a real problem with our Constitution.

Maybe you should just take your cult and start a new country without a Constitution. Let it rule by divine right of wealth, since that is what you promote anyway.

Show us where your beliefs differ from the exclusive agenda of the rich. You cannot.

Listen sport, Royalists were conservatives.

It was conservative Southern slave owners that started the civil war. They didn't like hope and change for blacks, remember?

It was conservatives who opposed every advance of voter rights in our history. And conservatives are the ones doing their best to suppress voters to this day.

My facts stand. Your opinion is twisted cult dogma.

Not only are you ignorant of what liberalism is, your beliefs are unsupported by common sense and reason.

You know what is hilarious? Some extremist who portray all liberals as commies is upset because he thinks I'm generalizing conservatives.

Your limited reading retention is showing. I've differentiated between conservative people and the radical Right. You THINK the radical Right is conservative, but what they want is radical change. Yes they want de-facto rule by divine right of wealth and suppression of democracy as they oppose our Constitutional general welfare, taxes, and regulation of commerce.

This is not conservatism, but con-servatism. Bet you still can't see the difference.

So you want to play a game, I see?

Give me one example of a conservative policy that has succeeded... in anything, for the American public, and then ended.

Come on sport, play your game.

Liberal policies have succeeded in feeding, sheltering and providing health care for the needy. What conservative policy has addressed, let alone helped with these? You got some secret conservative plan that ends disease, accidents and aging?

Let's hear the Big Conservative Solution. (We already know what it is.)

Conservative policies off-shore jobs, coddle the rich, and create unemployment.

Con-servative solutions are more tax breaks for the rich and less regulation for Wall Street. If you believe that fixes any problem for most Americans, I've got a cult for you to stay in.
