Pissing off the Far Right since June of 2006

What you are about to read are a collection of unrelated observations that I had scribbled in my notebook or posted out in the Facebooksphere. Any resemblances to any people - living or not-quite-so-living - are purely intentional.

1: More American Carnage

There was another mass shooting in the American night; this time at a dollar store in Jacksonville, Florida. Get used to living in a nation in ruins. Unless our politicians get their priorities in order, this is the way it's going to be from now on.  keep voting the Republicans and the Blue Dog Democrats.

2: The Error of Donnie's Ways

Donald Trump's fatal error was assumption that all professional Republican politicians are as blatantly corrupt as he. Most of them are - but not all of them, I cannot tell you what a pleasant surprise it was for me to find this out.

3: The Year of the Black Woman

Three of the four people whose mission it it to deliver justice to Donald Trump are Black women. I'm absolutely certain that this nasty little fact must be driving the old bugger nuts. Book 'Em, Fani.

4: Rudy's Irony

Twenty-two years ago, Rudolph Giuliani was one of the most beloved Republican politicians since Dwight Eisenhower - perhaps even Theodore Roosevelt. Three years ago, he attached his star to Donald Trump's clown car. Today his historic reputation is mere ashes on the alter of public opinion. He is telling everyone who will bother to listen that he is proud to be in Donald Trump's corner. He's not. The association with the former POTUS is the biggest regret of his once-proud life. Take it to the bank.

5: What Is Reality?

This particular post that you are now reading has no point whatsoever. Please move on to the next one.

6: A Disney Moment

I just had a revelation that almost threw me: today (August 30, 2023) I am four days older than Walt Disney was on the day he died (December 15, 1966). My only comfort is the certain knowledge that when you wish upon a star, it doesn't make a damned bit of difference how old you are.

Rudy has taken a massive fall hooking up with trump. Others will suffer the same fate.

Judge Howell just entered a default judgment against Giuliani in the defamation case filed against him by Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

The default judgment means that the court has found Giuliani liable for the conduct he was accused of by Freeman and Moss so that at trial the only issue a jury will now have to decide is how much money in damages to award.

Is this why Rudy's been crying the broke blues? Hiding his money?

A good explanation of trump supporters.

In a 10-part thread on X, the social media platform once known as Twitter, former U.S. Naval War College professor Tim Nichols dropped the hammer on seemingly intelligent adults who have thrown their lot in with Donald Trump and, like him, have turned into "angry, irrational toddlers" living in a constant state of rage.

Coming a day after two of the Proud Boy leaders, Joseph Biggs and Zachary Rehl, sobbed in front of U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly before being handed 17 and 15-year sentences respectively for their part in the Jan. 6 insurrection, Nichols asserted they are prime examples of Trump voters who "are mired in eternal petulant childhood."

The day off is great. But what exactly are we celebrating?
A lot. Do you enjoy not having to work weekends? The 40-hour work week? Having sick days and paid time off? You can thank labor leaders for that. Thousands of Americans have marched, protested and participated in strikes in order to create fairer, more equitable labor laws and workplaces — and still do today.

"Analysis from Goldman Sachs economists project Biden’s ramping up the nation’s legal immigration system — which brings more than a million foreign nationals to the United States on green cards annually in addition to another million on temporary work visas — will add about 500,000 foreign workers to the workforce by mid-June of next year.

Monthly, the economists note, Biden is inflating the labor market with tens of thousands of foreign workers employers can hire, at lower wages and with fewer benefits."

The Trump Administration’s Policy Failures Compounded the Coronavirus-Induced Economic Crisis.

The Trump administration’s failure to respond to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent economic fallout has exacerbated both crises in the United States.

The Trump administration failed to take the coronavirus outbreak seriously. In late February, while other high-income countries were ramping up testing and developing tracing procedures, President Donald Trump stated that “the Coronavirus [was] very much under control.” It was during these critical early weeks and months that the United States should have been stockpiling protective gear for frontline workers and making testing widely available. In contrast, South Korea, a country whose first confirmed case of COVID-19 coincided with that of the United States, bought 720,000 masks for employees of businesses considered at risk of exposure to the coronavirus. When asked if the U.S. federal government would supply personal protective equipment (PPE) to states, President Trump responded that it would not act as a “shipping clerk.”

She is also asking that the judge prohibit the publication of any information that would help identify them, “specifically physical descriptions, telephone numbers, addresses, employer names and membership affiliations."

"Legal experts have said it's standard for indictments in Georgia to include the names of the grand jurors, in part because it provides defendants the opportunity to challenge the composition of the grand jury. So the names of the 23 grand jurors who heard the district attorney's evidence and voted to approve charges were included on the indictment. They immediately became the victims of “doxxing,” which is short for “dropping dox” or documents, and refers to the online posting of information about someone, generally in an attempt to harass, threaten, shame or exact revenge."

"On August 24th Jim Jordan wrote Georgia Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis demanding that she account for indicting Donald Trump. The seven page letter spent much time attacking Willis’s alleged motives in the prosecution and concluded by demanding that her office produce records related to the case, internal communications about the case, and any communications between her office and any federal officials regarding the case."

Today Fani Willis responded, and it is pure gold. You can read it HERE.

A verdict has been handed down for former Trump adviser Peter Navarro, who brazenly defied a subpoena and strategized to delay certification of the 2020 election that Joe Biden won. Navarro was found guilty on both counts of Contempt of Congress for blowing off the House Jan 6 Select Committee probe.

DAMN!!!...Just Musing...Fani sure did set Jimbo straight on his clowning.

On Thursday, the prosecutor who indicted Donald Trump and 18 alleged co-conspirators on racketeering charges (RICO) slapped down Jordan's attempts to "interfere" with her investigation, and curtly explained to him that he has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to the law – even accusing him of spreading "misinformation."

With regard to her filing under the RICO statute, Willis made a point of reminding the blustery Ohio Republican that he never passed the bar after attending law school, writing that he can still continue his education by purchasing legal expert John Floyd's RICO book "for the non-bar member price of $249."

The Fulton County, Georgia, grand jury investigating the 2020 presidential election recommended indicting a long list of former President Donald Trump's allies, including Sen. Lindsey Graham. Appeals court rules government likely violated First Amendment in vaccine misinformation campaign

"David Greene, an attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, said the new injunction was “a thousand times better” than what Doughty, an appointee of former president Trump, had ordered originally.

Doughty’s decision had affected a wide range of government departments and agencies, and imposed 10 specific prohibitions on government officials. The appeals court threw out nine of those and modified the 10th to limit it to efforts to “coerce or significantly encourage social-media companies to remove, delete, suppress, or reduce, including through altering their algorithms, posted social-media content containing protected free speech.”

Your ‘Justice’ System at Work: Leftist Who Ran Over and Killed ‘Republican Extremist’ Teen Gets Just Five Years in Prison

Two-tier justice system? Absolutely. Joe Biggs, a member of the Proud Boys who dared to shake a fence at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has just been sentenced to seventeen years in prison for doing so. And on Friday, a leftist thug named Shannon Brandt was also sentenced. Brandt ran over and killed a teenager, Cayler Ellingson, because he thought Ellingson was a “Republican extremist.” For that, Brandt will serve five years in prison, minus almost a year that he has already served under house arrest. It would be fitting if Brandt and Biggs could be sentenced to the same prison, so that Brandt could say goodbye to Biggs when he gets freed and thank his lucky stars that another “Republican extremist” is safely behind bars.

Anyone can cut and paste, question is does anyone bother to read them

At 2:28 PM, Blogger JustMusing said...

Oh yeah, -Biggs was just a tourist- more gaslighting by Anon.

"Biggs was convicted of a slew of charges in May, including seditious conspiracy, intimidation or threats to prevent officials from discharging their duties and interference with law enforcement during civil disorder.

In a sentencing memo, prosecutors said that Biggs - a veteran of the war in Iraq and former correspondent for conspiracy website Infowars - "employed his military experience to direct and control large groups of men under his command" to lead a "revolt against the government".

"Biggs viewed himself and his movement as a second American revolution where he and the other 'patriots' would retake the government by force," the memo said."

Hey Anon show us, other than PJ Crap Media that Brandt was a so called leftist. He was drunk at the time and functionally impaired during an argument and lashed out. And why did he get a plea deal? Sounds like the prosecutors screwed up or had a weak case.

The teen certainly should not have been assaulted or killed for having a difference of opinion and that is a tragedy for him and his family and I agree that 5 years was not nearly enough. However neither of these cases are comparative and in reading them, you have come to non-equivalent conclusions.

Joe Biggs is not a Republican; he is a far-right political activist. Maybe this is the comparison you were looking for, but did not read: 'In the 2010s, Biggs was arrested in Austin, Texas for assaulting a peace officer while drunk, but a grand jury did not return an indictment." Wikipedia.

Your two faced "what aboutism" is tired, misleading, and draws from sites that inflate, gaslight, rewrite the facts to serve their agenda, and promote conspiracies. But then why let facts get in the way as you try to bend reality to suit or justify your conclusions.

It beggars the mind.
