The Presidents of the United States (UPDATE)



Please indulge me while I paraphrase President Kennedy's inaugural address which was delivered forty-eight years ago today, January 20, 1961:

Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans; born in the second half of the twentieth century....

Well, now!
Here's some change you can really believe in, baby! By the time the sun sets late this afternoon, Barack Hussein Obama will have been sworn in as the forty-fourth president of the United States of America.

As a public service, I have elected to post this updated version of a list of the forty-three men who have served in the office (Although Obama is the Forty-fourth president to be elected, he is actually only the forty-third person to hold the job. Grover Cleveland is the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms and is usually counted twice. Go figure).

So here is the new and

Wow !! In spite of my cynicism toward the establishment I believe Barack Obama is a good man who will attempt to bring all Americans together to work for the common good. During his campaign I suggested to his people that he create a " Secretary of Citizens' Affairs " to help keep people informed and involved in government. What he IS doing is keeping in touch with his supporters through e-mails and keeping the grassroots movement he began alive. He easily could have have lost all those e-mail addys and withdrew from contact and citizen involvement. I wish him luck and may God ( if there is one ) be with him.

WOW!! The big day is done! And once again, when the circus is over, they send in the Black Guy to clean up after the elephants!!!

I hope he brought a spare shovel, because THIS mess is not going away soon!

Word is buzzing around that if Obama doesn't drag Pork Pie off to the house of many doors for his role in the torture of Enemy Combatants, the UN is going to step in and do something about it!

We might get that perp walk yet! And fluorescent orange is SOOOOOOO George Bush's color!
