Trump is many things - a pompous, bloviating bag of toxic gas, a braggart and a bully - but, unlike so many seeking the GOP nomination these days, he's not an idiot (or at least he's not a complete idiot). I really don't think that he believes eighty percent of the nonsense he spouts off on a daily basis. But the Donald has studied American politics as carefully as anyone in the past half century, and he has come to understand this indisputable fact:
In order to get the Republican nomination in the twenty-first century, it is essential for a candidate to barnstorm this country saying a lot of really stupid things. In this instance, at least, he has learned his lesson well - probably a tad too well.
I don't have much in common with Adolf Hitler except this one fact: we were both baptized in the Catholic faith. A lot of those Nazi thugs were Catholics - although none of them, thank goodness, were Irish. For that reason alone I sleep a little easier at night. In my life I have known a lot of Jews - close friends and casual acquaintances. And you know what? Not one of them was ever silly enough to try and tie me in with the massacre of six million of their ancestors during the holocaust of the nineteen-thirties and forties. Why is this so? It's simple! To do so would be the height of stupidity. In case you've never noticed, Jewish folks, for whatever reason, tend to be a highly intelligent lot. That's not the case with too many of us so-called "Christians". Go figure.
I'm going to tell you something here and now that well may astound you. To paraphrase Will Rogers:

Seriously. Having lived in New York City for more than a decade in the seventies and eighties, I got to know oodles of Allah's kids and I can honestly say that all of them were quality people. They're usually very polite, they make great neighbors - and don't get me started on their food! We're talkin' mega-yummy!
Most of the people who practice Islam are, in my experience, the sweetest, gentlest of people. There is not another religion I can make that claim about - not even the Irish Catholics! (Let's face it, some of us can be real assholes when the situation calls for it). So why are so many people picking on the Muslims? Some of us need to get a life. Seriously.
You could have filled a decent-sized swimming pool with the crocodile tears pouring out of the other candidates on the campaign trail this week; and I couldn't help cracking up when the new house Speaker, Paul Ryan, sternly admonished Trump for his insensitivity. "That's not what conservatism is all about", he huffed.
I got a news bulletin for Mr. Paul: appealing to the worst instincts in human nature has been conservatism's mode-of-operation for decades now, going all the way back to Barry Goldwater's quest for the White House in 1964. Trump is an egomaniacal fool who only cares about himself. He seems to hold no regard towards the constitution if it is going to get in his way of what it takes to "win". Further, until his run for the presidency, he has had many "core" beliefs that were decidedly left-wing. In other words, to elect this buffoon to office would simply be to replace Obama with another version of him.
Nobody knows what they would get if Trump was elected. He might not even know. There is some logic in trying to discern, which people seeking to enter this country, with terrorist connections. The problem has been the difficulty in doing it-- hence the recent female shooter who evidently came here just to kill others and be a martyr. We are not fighting a war with a country, like Japan or Germany. This is with an ideology that easily blends into the general population until it erupts. I have no idea if something can be done about it anymore than the other recent shooter who said he did it to save babies while he killed a police officer and two other people-- one just trying to stop the shooting and the other there to support a friend who was having an abortion. Or the community college shooter in my state where he just wanted to be famous.
The bigger concern about Trump, for me, is who wants him and how many of them are there out there. They often are haters and racists who would like to turn the country back to the time they consider more golden when minorities couldn't vote and the poor just starved if local charities didn't step up. The '50s are golden to many of them when a man could beat his family and nobody complained, where abortions led to women dying, and gays had to hide their orientation. Most of the Republican candidates think that way and they might smile while saying it, like little Rubio, but they would turn the clock back if they had a chance. That's the scary part-- the voters who want this. They hate liberals as much as they do Muslims and guns are what they see as necessary for a coming revolution. Trump supporters aren't all the same kind but they mostly have one thing in common, from those I hear from, they love assault rifles and want no regulations on guns. If Trump really gets in and doesn't do what they want, he will be at as much risk as Obama is today.
Used to be that those who aspired to positions of leadership did so by appealing to the better natures of people, to be charitable, tolerant, courageous and able. Now too many of them appeal to fear. Donald Trump came right and said it the other day, that people should be afraid. Oh yeah, the bad guys are out to get you and if we just get rid of [insert demonized group of the month here], we can live in prosperity again without fear.
It's bullshit of course, utter and complete nonsense, but that's what drives the USA these days. So many are afraid.
I live in a country plagued by violence, but I don't live in fear and most of the people don't either. Military check points on the highway are a way of life. A nuisance and a reminder, yes, but the reminder is not a cause to live in fear.
America has turned into the land of the fearful. In some ways, I can't blame it. America has lived so long in dominance that now, as demographics begin to change, and people that America has treated poorly (to say the least) begin to fight back, many are afraid for their personal safety. The shoe's on the other foot.
Then along comes a Bush, or a Cheney, or a Trump, under-developed fools the lot of them, who understand the power of fear and how it can propel them to power. Roosevelt said that we had nothing to fear, but fear itself. My god, look how much the nutsack of America has shriveled.
I'll give Trump one thing, at least he doesn't compare patriotic Americans to jihadists.
The same power of fear could well propel the far right party to power in France, my country, unless the traditionnally opposite right and leftist parties agree to unite against it, in the regional elections, to morrow, and the next Presidential one in 2017... an agreement which might seem unthinkable in view of their opposite positions, but considered necessary just to bar the far-fight party, go figure...

Loring Wirbel’s Facebook post was captured by The Daily Caller – a right-leaning online newspaper.
The post states, “The thing is, we have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump and say, ‘This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him I will have to shoot you before Election Day.’ They’re not going to listen to reason, so when justice is gone, there’s always force…”

In 2009, Keith Luke, a self-described neo-Nazi and white supremacist, killed two men and raped and critically injured a woman, all three of whom were of Cape Verdean descent. The only reason I used a gun is because everything got haywire.” He had also stockpiled weapons. Luke was convicted in 2013.

In 2010 Raymond Peake killed a man at a gun range in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in order to steal an AR-15. Peake told investigators he stole the weapon for use in an organization seeking the overthrow of the American government that he refused to name. Peake pleaded no contest in 2012.

In 2011, Isaac Aguigui, Anthony Peden, Christopher Salmon, and Michael Burnett participated in the murder of Michael Roark and his girlfriend Tiffany York. The four men were part of Forever Enduring Always Ready, an anti-government Georgia militia group, and killed Roark and his girlfriend to conceal their activity. According to prosecutors, the four planned to commit further attacks including bombing the fountain at Savannah’s Forsyth Park, attacking Fort Stewart, and killing political figures. The group possessed multiple rifles and pipe bomb materials. Aguigui, Salmon, and Peden pleaded guilty to murder charges. Burnett, who cooperated with the government pleaded guilty to manslaughter and gang violations. Heather Salmon, Christopher Salmon’s wife, was also arrested and pleaded guilty in July of 2015 to manslaughter charges in connection with Roark and York’s murders.

In August 2012, Terry Smith, Brian Smith, Derrick Smith, Kyle Joekel, Britney Keith, and Chanel Skains allegedly ambushed and killed two police officers. On September 12, 2014 one police officer was killed and one officer was injured in a shooting at the Blooming Grove police barracks in Pennsylvania. On September 16, 2014 State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan identified Eric Frein as a suspect and announced a manhunt for Frein who was charged with murder among other charges. Police referred to Frein as a ‘survivalist’ and Police Commissioner Noonan stated that Frein “has made statements about wanting to kill law enforcement officers and also to commit mass acts of murder” and “has expressed anti-government leanings in the past, especially toward law enforcement.” On October 30, 2014 Frein was taken into custody after seven weeks on the run. On November 13, 2014 prosecutors added terrorism charges against Frein citing a letter in which he allegedly called for a revolution and stated "Tension is high at the moment and the time seems right for a spark to ignite a fire in the hearts of men. What I have done has not been done before and it felt like it was worth a try." On January 29, 2015, Frein pleaded not guilty to all charges. He awaits trial in Pennsylvania.

On June 8th, 2014 Jerad Miller and Amanda Miller, a married couple, allegedly killed two police officers in an ambush at a pizza restaurant in Las Vegas proceeding to kill another person in a Wal Mart parking lot as they left the scene before committing suicide. Law enforcement are believed to have discovered a manifesto written by the shooters, though its content is unknown. The shooters reportedly yelled revolution during the shooting and left a swastika on the body of one policeman. They had also previously spoken of targeting law enforcement officers and expressed militant views according to their neighbors. Second Assistant Sherrif Kevin McMahill stated, "We believe that they equate government and law enforcement ... with Nazis" as quoted by CNN.

On June 18, 2015, Dylann Roof was arrested and charged with killing nine people in a shooting on at the historic black Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 2015. According to one of the victims, Roof said: "You rape our women, and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go," during the shooting. Roof had posted a manifesto citing his radicalization after seeing the coverage of the Trayvon Martin case and laying out a racist worldview. He had also posted pictures on his website and Facebook featuring white supremacist imagery, including the Confederate battle flag, patches of the Apartheid South African flag, and a T-shirt featuring the number "88," which is often used as a symbol for "Heil Hitler."

On November 27, 2015, Robert Dear was arrested in Colorado Springs, Colorado following a shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic that left three people dead and nine others wounded. Dear is being held in police custody on suspicion of first-degree murder. Formal charges, however, are not expected until his next court hearing on December 9th. One of Dear’s ex-wives has stated that he glued the locks of a Planned Parenthood near their home decades ago. The New York Times reported that one person who spoke with Dear extensively told them that he had praised the Army of God, an loose organization that commits violence against abortion providers, as heroes. After the shooting, Dear reportedly made a comment about "no more baby parts." The government, however, has not commented on Dear's motivations for allegedly conducting the attack.

I hear there’s some good hunting down Placerville way ...”
The affidavit says Orton identified “Victim 1” by title or name in other messages. Those included:

Two days later, the FBI received tips via its public access telephone line that threats were being made against “Victim 1.”

I don't know that I necessarily conclude that all members, if they are of any traditional political persuasion at all, are going to be right wingers. Indeed, many anarchists are typically very left wing in their other political views, if they have other political leanings. Further, I personally take offense with the left wing assumption that these racist groups are automatically right wingers too. That is not necessarily true either, sir.

According to a recent Rasmussen survey, more Americans view blacks — instead of whites or Hispanics — as racist. Even liberals (21%) see most black Americans as racist. Even Democrats (29%) see most black Americans as racist. Even black Americans (1 out of every 3!) think most blacks are racist. In fact more blacks (31%) think most blacks are racist than blacks (24%) who think most whites are racist.
Are the majority of blacks liberal or conservative? I would say they are liberal based on their voting record. Using the same logic as liberals do in painting any conservative as a supporter of white racist groups because of their voting record, the same can be said for liberal.
