Coup Coup

Fifty-seven years ago today, our democracy came under a lethal assault when a demented little freak pointed a cheap, mail-order rifle at the head of the president of the United States from the sixth floor of a warehouse in Dallas, Texas. Today, democracy finds itself under assault once again, only this time around, the assailant is the president of the United States. Donald Trump is the tenth president to live in the White House since the time of Jack Kennedy. It defies reason to believe that the quality of American politicians (not to mention the American people) could have degraded to this point.

First of all, before you deem me as being somewhat of an alarmist, let me assure you that, at 12:00 noon on January 20, 2021, Joe Biden is going to put his right hand on the bible of his choice; he will then swear to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States". At that moment - beyond any and all arguments - he will be the president of this country. Donald Trump will then have a choice: to leave the Executive Mansion voluntarily - with as much dignity as the disgusting old freak can possibly muster - or he can be physically removed by the military and/or Secret Service. He will not have any other choice in the matter.

That one man could do this much damage to the United States in so short a time is difficult to fathom. This sort of thing was never supposed to happen here. I find it revealing that lately, the GOP's talking point (repeated by many) goes essentially as follows: "This is not a democracy. This is a republic". Of course, that line is complete and utter bullshit. We are - and have always been - a democratic republic. What they have been attempting to do is to ease us into the idea of living in a despotic cesspool, with Donald Trump as our new Fecal King. Of the hundreds of Republicans currently serving in the House and Senate, only less than a handful have had the courage to speak out against this new American despotism. That is why that disgusting party needs to be eradicated from the American political map forever.

Donald Trump knows that he is in deep trouble. When his history of tax fraud and money laundering for international organized criminal enterprises if finally made known to a public who will no longer have the luxury of denying them, there will be nowhere for him to hide, except, perhaps, inside of Putin's Russia - in disgraced exile. There will be no other options for the guy after January 20. That is why he is so comically desperate to hold on to power - in spite of the overwhelming evidence that he lost this thing badly. My biggest fear is that, for the first time in the history of this country, there will be no peaceful transfer of power on Inauguration Day. Will his half-witted, beer-bellied militia boys descend upon Washington DC by the tens-of-thousands in order to do battle with the big, bad government that Donald Trump is trying to save his MAGA-brained masses from? Anything is possible. This might turn out to be deadly.

On the day after the election of 2016, I concluded my thoughts on this site this way:

"I was almost tempted to end this piece by saying that this country can go straight to hell - but that would have been redundant. The American people sent themselves there on Election Day 2016. Get used to living in a nation in ruins."

On the morning after the election four years ago, everyone with half a brain knew that the coming administration of Donald J. Trump would end catastrophically. With fifty-nine very long days to go until Joe Biden is sworn in as the forty-sixth president of the United States, the further damage that Trump can do should not be dismissed lightly. The American people will be living with the fallout from this disgusting regime for a very long time.

It’s time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up
The piper must be paid
The party’s over
It’s all over, my friend….

Fasten your seatbelts, kiddies!

"LOCK HIM UP!"

I have a vintage bottle of wine reserved for January 20th.

On January 21st Don the con will lose his immunity and face justice.

I wouldn't be surprised if he flees the country to live in Trump Tower Moscow or Istanbul. He will need the protection of a tyrant, IF he finds one willing to cover for him.

We know the end is near when Chris "Brown Nose" Christie criticizes Trump’s legal team and calls them "a national embarrassment".

Part two of two, it seems.

what he has done that has been good for the American people. (And if you just fold your arms and say, ha, what good? then you prove my point, so please don't do that).

If you were in your right mind on this topic, you would be properly suspicious of all those listed large entities which you (I suspect) usually feel are out to screw you. But no, you are, in this one area, believing their collective, censoring story. Even worse, you are not being outraged by the censorship! Please remember that what the mob does to someone else today, is what it will do to you tomorrow. If you were in your right mind, you would know that the bulk of the media has consistently reported a host of flat-out lies regarding Trump, has over-emphasized every flaw or mistake, and has also withheld all mention of anything good all to the tune of 95% consistent reporting. This is not my opinion. This is fact. At this point, they are conducting a news blackout on something that is of paramount importance to every single American who loves his or her country as much as you and I do. It transcends politics, party, race, demographics, and any other way they like to divide people. It is about regular Americans (a diverse-thinking group, to be sure) vs. the swamp of corruption that has been our government for many years.

I implore you to educate yourself on this matter. For me, for you, for J & R, for my children, for your family, for everyone you know and love. Put aside your personal distaste, and SEE.

I am sure you are familiar with the Drain the Swamp refrain.

The Swamp (Republican and Democrat alike) has been cheating on We the People for years. And they have been doing it particularly heinously and specifically since 2003ish. Through our voting systems. Our President, who is clearly not your favorite, and that is okay, is drawing the line on this issue with these lawsuits. And he is not doing it just to stay in office for four more years (which, of course, he would like to do). He is doing it for you and me. For us. For all Americans. To pull back the curtains on what our bad political class has been doing for years so that we can all see how effed it is. So that we can see specifically. So that we can see the cure as well.

You and I can not even have a reasonable discussion until you get yourself some information. I hope you will make the effort, because it is essential that all we little folk wake up to what is being done to us - pretty much with our sheep-like consent.

I would start with the following video (takes an hour plus) - a statistical analysis of some Michigan counties. The lead person ran for Senate in Massachusetts and lost at the primary level in a peculiar way, that caused him to look for similar patterns out in the larger world of elections.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztu5Y5obWPk

Then start reading the affidavits from Lin Wood and Sidney Powell that are posted online (make sure they are the ligit ones) regarding lawsuits in Georgia. THen read the ones that will be out later this week.

At this point, who ends up being elected is tiny beans compared to the importance of We the People reclaiming our voting power. Please pay attention and educate yourself around this topic. I beg you.

Sincerely yours and with faith that WE ALL want the best for this country,

Part one of Two - read this one first

Ah, this is very interesting.

Now I understand how my beloved brother John has lost his way. To have such friends...

You, Mr. Deegan, and it looks like some of your readers as well, have been, and continue to be, deceived.

If the election-resolution-through-the-court-process goes against President Trump, you can be sure that he will leave the White House under his own power in January and without any trouble to anyone. If that is what the future brings, then please let me now express my future condolences regarding the untimely death/disease/accident which will befall your candidate sometime in 2021. If, however, the election resolves in Trump's favor, then Mr. Biden will not be there to get sworn in, and will hopefully enjoy a comfortable and lengthy dotage.

The information you have taken in over the last four years (or forty years - which is incidentally approximately how long it has been since we last met) has been somewhat lopsided, and has led to your missing what is going on in front of all our noses.

You should be looking closely at the place where everyone is telling you not to look.

Big Tech, Big Media, Big Govt, Big Politics, Big Corp, Big MilitaryIndustrialComplex are all aligned and all saying yup, election is over, Joe is in and Don is out. They are all saying pay him no nevermind and they are all saying there ain't no need to do any recounting either.

It is a symptom of Trump Derangement Syndrome that when, so overcome by animosity toward that DJT person, one is willing to overthrow logic and reason and be guided solely by the singular emotion of hate.

I have only read one and a half of your posts, but discern that you are a well-educated and well-read individual. However, being blinded by TDS, I suspect you have been limiting your explorations to only ideas which reinforce your original opinion of "Trump sucks" and have not done due diligence to explore

The election is OVER and Trump clearly lost. All he's doing now is stalling so he can get people like you to send him money to pay his massive debts.

The only "good" trump has done is expose the places in our constitution that need to be addressed. trump hid behind "that's not actually a law" concerning his taxes and business interests, and is now trying to undermine the will of the people so he can stay in office and avoid criminal prosecution.

Otherwise everything he's done benefits Vlad Putin more than the USA.

When I 1st saw the title of this "Rant" I thought you were talking about the Mueller Investigation which at it's base was fueled by the discredited Steele Dossier. A cursory examination of the Steele Dossier should have convinced the CIA or the FBI that it was fake news. Any residual doubt would have vanished after learning that its author, Christopher Steele, was an opposition researcher paid by the Democrats to dig up dirt on Trump. That our most sophisticated government officials acted as if the Dossier were legitimate leads to only one conclusion. They were a knowing and willing part of the Democratic and media smear of a presidential contender, and then president, that paralyzed U.S. politics for three years.

That's the attempted coup I thought you were talking about.

Mozart,
Prove what you claim about Trump and the vaccine, in doing so, give us some of your vaunted sources. My bet is you won't/can't

Oh, wait, man. Those comments by Susan were serious? Man, I totally read them as satire of the cognitive dissonance that Trump Supporters convince themselves of. Wow, I'm sorry. You were being serious.

Trump Derangement Syndrone is said by the same people who unironically, dismissively say 'ORANGE MAN BAD' when "discussing" politics with non-supporters. Merely dismissing what is being said by people with legitimate issues with a man who grifts us, allows his family to grift from us, insults any citizen who says anything remotely negative about anything he does, gives those same people adolescent, insulting nicknames, weaponizes wedge issues, Others people as enemies and threats and who is, as of this writing, still trying to deny reality and find a way to dismiss, disregard and delegitimize the election who loss massively by claiming they have Trump Derangement Syndrone is simply a tactic you use to keep from having to actually think about what is being said to you. It doesn't feel good, so obviously the "liberals" and "RINOS" just hate the man simply to hate him.

Finally:

This statement right here:

"At this point, who ends up being elected is tiny beans compared to the importance of We the People reclaiming our voting power. Please pay attention and educate yourself around this topic. I beg you."

This right here. This is legit the reason I thought this whole thing was satire and a joke. Donald Trump is still, as of lastnight, claiming victory in an election that he lost by 7 million votes and with the same electoral college margin he had against Hillary (And what he called a landslide in 2016). In spite of the disenfranchisement, the USPS meddling, lies about dropboxes, and Republican efforts to steal actual votes with fake dropboxes and stolen mail bags... it appears We The People exercised our voting power. Being in denial that your guy lost doesn't mean your power to vote wasn't exercised. Welcome to Democracy. Sometimes your preferred candidate loses.

Part ONE - this 4500 character limit is challenging

Maybe it is no longer possible to have a conversation with people?

If my suggestion that Mr. Deegan suffers from TDS is incorrect, I apologize. I don't know him well enough/have not read him sufficiently to know if that is true or not, so I suppose I spoke out of turn. I was not making an effort to be rude or insulting, but was making an effort to use a "shorthand" of sorts to present my ideas to a group of people whose core understandings I am unaware/uncertain (of). Probably shouldn’t have underestimated you folks.

I am not a Republican, but I am a Conservative. What I most consider myself to be is a Constitutionalist. Over two hundred years ago, some very clever folks framed a new and unique style of government. As Thomas Paine pointed out in 1775ish, society with others (like here) is a pleasure that we choose, but government is a necessary evil that we require because we (as humans) are inherently bad at being virtuous all the time.

The framers knew that people needed to be informed and morally grounded to be effective users of this style of government.

Over the last 40 to 70 years, there has been a relentless assault on the moral value-system around which our Constitution framed. When I was younger, and worse informed, I thought that was cool and freeing. Now I see that as a sorrow that reduces my actual freedoms.

As I have watched my children navigate the public school system over the last 15 years, I have been appalled at the structures in place there to prevent them from learning fundamental and essential truth.

As I talk to people who do not share my political opinions, the most common aspects I see is ignorance of facts and a visceral dislike of Trump's mannerisms. People express an intense dislike of Trump the person before they can articulate anything about Trump the government leader. When I delve into why, what gets put forth next are usually incomplete snippets of this and that taken out of context from a larger statement which generally expresses the opposite of whatever my conversational colleague is suggesting Trump said.

Part TWO of TWO

(A perfect, public, example of that is the following: I am currently reading “How To Be an Antiracist” by Ibram Kilib. I am only about half way through, so may change my thoughts as I get closer to the end, but the author has repeatedly used lies and distortions to make his point. He cites Trump calling a black critic “stupid” as a racist action. It ain’t. And it ain’t because Trump calls anyone who disagrees with him stupid with absolutely no concern to any demographic group the person may be part of. According to his own definitions, the author should consider Trump an anti-racist!)
But anyway, we are now witnessing unprecedented suppression of people actually thinking. People’s livelihoods, property, and even lives are being threatened for nothing more than saying words others disagree with. Google is suppressing information they don’t want you to see or think about as you search. General media has surrendered even the pretense of presenting real information for you so that you can decide what to do about that information, preferring to present opinion only, just withholding information and stating things that are very much not facts as facts. Our governments and corporations are controlling how we are allowed to speak on a topic (facebook anyone?). I am astounded that no one has even mentioned the irony of being physically muzzled (mandatory masks) as our most important free-speech event (elections) occurs.

(How do you tell a politician is lying? Their lips are moving…but what if you can’t see their lips?)
TB3 is being dismissive, when he/she/it suggests that I am unwilling to accept that my candidate has lost. It has happened to me plenty of times, and will certainly happen again. I can handle it just fine, thank you, without having to burn down my local city, knit a funny hat, or scream obscenities at anyone. I even have it in my heart to respect whomever sits in the Office of the President, which I consider is part of my duty as an American. But it must be fair and free as outlined in the Constitution.

When you suppress my voice, limit my information, apply the rules selectively to different groups of citizens, make my children uneducated, restrict my inalienable Constitutional rights, and then want to put me on a blacklist for merely asking for follow-through so that all of us can know that our vote actually means what we think it does, it only reinforces my opinion that there is a whole bunch of stuff out there that you are trying to hide from me. And not YOU folks personally of course - the generic “you”. You folks personally, as my informed neighbors and fellow citizens, in my opinion, should want clarity around the same thing.

So please, be patient with the process, educate yourself for real with honest to goodness information from people who know a fact (not media interpretation of what someone else said about someone), give me, your fellow citizen the benefit of the doubt, or at least your kind indulgence, and let us look, together, at what is going on.

I am hoping the truth will set us all free.

Oh, Susan. What is this "truth" you speak of? Did Trump's racist birtherism set us free? Did his tens of thousands of lies set us free? The courts are rejecting the Trump Cartel's obviously dishonest "affidavits" and other totally unsubstantiated claims.

If you think wearing a mask "muzzles" us, then you are far more ignorant and paranoid than you can imagine. You might find your bra more constrictive. "Titty Tyranny"?

Yes, let us look together at what is going on. Start with facts, not opinions and claims from the most dishonest administration in history.

Look, I'm not going to get on my horse to argue whether Donald Trump is a racist. We can argue about how he treats people of color and his attitude toward them until we're blue in the face. If he does and says things that appear or seem racist, it's fair to refer to him as a racist. Simple as that.

" I am astounded that no one has even mentioned the irony of being physically muzzled (mandatory masks) as our most important free-speech event (elections) occurs."

You're astounded no one mentioned something that's neither ironic or stifling of one's free speech? Say it ain't so! What mask are you being forced to wear that keeps you from freely speaking (and voting)? I suppose the one thing muzzles and masks have in common is that they will thwart any effort to bite someone. Though, honestly, I suppose that's a blessing. I'd expect Trump fans to be the more bitey type than other members of our community.

And yes, TB3 is being dismissive. Your entire treatise is an emotional appeal to... something? I think? 'Cause when you have to insert a statement like:

"But it must be fair and free as outlined in the Constitution."

It kind of gives the impression that you don't think the most recent election was. I'm sorry that the Election was "called" by the Media like it's done every. single. election. I'm sorry that fans of Donald Trump retroactively prefer the process be completely played out up until votes are certified and the Electoral College rubber stamps the will of the people. I get it. It's just disingenuous and not actually what Donald Trump was demonstrating after the election was called. It'd be believable if the President of the United States wasn't throwing a fit over Twitter and his Republican allies weren't disingenuously acting like the Media calling the race was any different than how it's been done for the vast number of past election cycles. It'd be different that if in 2016, Donald Trump and/or his allies called up Hillary Clinton the day after the election and told her to "Hold on Hill. Let the process play out as it's outlined in the Constitution before you concede." No one did that, because why would you? 2020's just got to be different cause... reasons. The election was as fair and as free as possible, considering Republican Machinations.

Finally:

"When you suppress my voice, limit my information, apply the rules selectively to different groups of citizens, make my children uneducated, restrict my inalienable Constitutional rights, and then want to put me on a blacklist for merely asking for follow-through so that all of us can know that our vote actually means what we think it does, it only reinforces my opinion that there is a whole bunch of stuff out there that you are trying to hide from me."

That's a lot to unpack and I'm real curious as to what all of this actually is. Wearing a mask isn't suppressing your voice. Private social media platforms enforcing their terms of service isn't a restriction on your rights. A child's education is more than just what's in the classroom, if there are unfortunate gaps it's your responsibility as the parent to fill them. What of your inalienable rights are being restricted? What is this blacklist you speak of? And what vast conspiracy are you refering to that you feel is hiding, an active process mind you, "stuff" from you?

You wrote a lot. And it's a lot of vague Moon Man talk.

However, I imagine, if the chances of life and health of our fellow citizen were protected by the wearing of bras, I do imagine a mandate would be implemented. Especially if life and health were threatened by a contagious, virulent disease. Then it would be everyone's patriotic duty to wear them.

Obama starts out noting that Democrats were shocked that so many Hispanics voted for Trump:

Um, people were surprised about uh, a lot of Hispanic folks who voted for Trump.

He then proceeds to trash them as evangelical Christian bigots:

But there’s a lot of evangelical Hispanics who, you know, the fact that Trump says racist things about Mexicans or puts uh, detainees, uh you know, uh, uh, undocumented workers in cages, they think that’s less important than the fact that, you know, he supports their views on, you know, gay marriage or abortion.

You know what Obama’s talking about. It’s what he already said about people who don’t support him or the left’s socialist agenda:

“They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Now he’s applying the same bitter clinger rationale to actual immigrants, accusing them of being self-hating as long as they have a president who supports their bigoted views against gays and their backward views on ‘choice’.

Obama hasn’t changed one bit. He’s still the arrogant schmuck he was while in office.

We got 4 more years of this crap.

Pardons:

Obama in 8 years 212

President Trump in 4 years 29

Prove it Mozart, you claimed, you said it now put up or shut up. Deflections don't count as proof.

Yes, but Obama like every other president before him,(well, OK Ford...) pardoned non violent offenders who had served at least a portion of their sentence had were on good behavior.

Trump pardons his buddies (most of who broke the law on his behalf) before they even see a jail cell.

Subtle difference.

And I will be happy to prove my statement in fact I am EAGER to, because it will be quick, easy and oh,so satisfying. I have 4 links with undeniable proof of Trumps allegiance to Putin ready to go. But first you must answer the question you have been avoiding these five years.

HOW WOULD YOU HAVE REACTED HAD PRESIDENT OBAMA SAID AND DONE EXACTLY WHAT TRUMP HAS THE LAST 5 YEARS?

Do try to be honest. I understand you will be fighting against muscle memory.

But since you brought it up, PROVE TRUMP HASN'T SUCKED UP TO PUTIN. Your rules, not mine.

Like his hero trump, clucky is clearly a narcissist. He mistakes derision and contempt for adulation.

But that's OK, because Joe Biden will be sworn in as POTUS Jan 20. I'm sure the crowd will be LEGENDARY.(even if online) Dancing in the streets instead of protests. People happy and hopeful instead of frightened, and angry. We have a President again.

Trump's fate on Jan 21 is still to be seen, but it will be entertaining. He's already trying to burn the house down behind him. Filing lawsuits and begging for money to "stop the steal" when in reality it IS the steal, most of the money goes to pay his campaign debts, and a lot of the rest goes to the RNC.

"One last scam before I go...but we'll always have Moscow."

So, Turns out There's Actually Scientific Data Liberals Are More Likely To Have Mental Problems!

The results of a study, which was conducted off a self-reported poll by Pew Research in March on this year, indicated that across all races and age groups, those who identified as conservative were far less likely to have been diagnosed with a mental illness by a doctor. Ph.D. student Zach Goldberg took the overall data and created a chart to show how likely a person is to develop mental illness based on race and political affiliation. Not surprising if you have been paying attention, Whites who identified as "very liberal" - AKA the majority of our nation's socialistic woketard leftists – were far more prone to emotional and mental problems.

When filtered by race, the problem becomes even more defined. Whites who identified as "very liberal" – you know, the young soft skulls of Antifa and BLM, and those espousing Critical Race Theory and professing their white guilt – are twice as likely as their non-white counterparts to suffer from mental illness.

Among white liberals, the most affected group were far-left women. 56.3% of white leftist females admitted stress and mental health issues. But then we already knew about them

"Whites who identified as "very liberal" – you know, the young soft skulls of Antifa and BLM"

When racism and ignorance collide.

So now polls are accurate again? No. Cons lie to pollsters. Unlike the claim of the propagandist, a poll is NOT "scientific data". This is the "fake science" the Right clings to.

MRI scans are real science: The brains of authoritarian personalities are different from most of the population. The fear is hard wired in their brain’s amygdala. It is a marker of authoritarian personalities.

“We found that greater liberalism was associated with increased gray matter volume in the anterior cingulate cortex, whereas greater conservatism was associated with increased volume of the right amygdala”.

OF course a poll in March reflects anxiety from sane and informed people, unlike the Trump Cult who didn't even accept the reality of covid. These delusional idiots refuse to understand masks help contain the spread of a virus. THAT denial of reality is the dangerous mental disorder. Cultists have died in denial of the virus. Herman Cain learned the hard way. They think climate science is fake. That is delusional. Believing Trump is honest and was sent by Jesus to save America is delusional.

Delusional people don't know they are delusional, as Vern demonstrates so thoroughly.

And of course:

Racism isn't racism to racists.
Ignorance isn't ignorance to the ignorant.
A cult isn't a cult to a cult.

You folks are quite the bunch!

Mr. Dubya - you beautifully mirrored the current state of media when you incompletely quoted me "all humans are inherently bad" and then suggested I was an authoritarian person for thinking so, and then went out on a wander about mental illness. Misquote, then insult or dismiss based on the misquote, then change the topic. Do it enough, and all the world will think that Susan thinks 'all humans are bad'. What I actually said was that we humans are inherently bad at being virtuous all the time - and that that is the reason why we need government. And when I said it, I was paraphrasing someone else. And, I believe that the sentiment, regarding being bad at being virtuous, is universally true of all humans. It is for me anyway, and I sure try.

Noble Clucky, there is no need to speak to me like a jerk. I was just clarifying that I accidentally posted under two different names. This is my first ever participation in any type of forum like this, so please forgive my ignorance of your uncanny ability to discern people's writing style. Sigh.

TB3, Yes, our elections have been corrupted for a long time (which I acknowledged in an earlier post, so I don't get why you sass me on this). So are we going to just whine about it, or is somebody going to do something about it? Huh? Imagine that, Pres. Trump is doing something about that seemingly untouchable, unchangeable problem. It offends you that he is doing it on his behalf instead of on Hillary's or whomever's? Where were the cojones on all the rest of our brave politicians any other year? If we don't actually do something, nothing will ever happen. (I think that is a clear illustration of let's call it Presidential Derangement Syndrome - it is a great idea and I support it, unless it comes from the president I don't like, in which case I oppose it vigorously)

It is interesting to note that part of the cleverness of our Constitution is that its authors strove to create mechanisms by which one's personal interests (of someone working for the gov't) would be in harmony with working for the greater good of the nation. It is good that Trump is willing to take this to the bitter end on his own behalf (and therefore, on behalf of the voter at large).

And my fear of socialism? Socialism is a theory which works for small groups where everyone is likeminded (three, four, a dozen people, I don't know). It doesn't work in large entities, like a country of several million with many agendas, because of the (alsopreviouslymentioned) innate nature of humans to be greedy, to crave power, to choose self over group. Socialism run by a government just means that the government (ie the people in the govt) has all the power, and you little folks (that's us) are all incredibly equal in the suffering and abuse you will receive from that government, and beyond that, you have no right to try to change it, because government knows best. If you, TB3, really trust government to look after your interests better than yourself, then you not the thinking person that your syntax suggests you are. The real shame is that We the People have allowed ourselves to become ignorant of our rights, our duties, our power. As a result we are allowing our rights and power to slip away, perhaps forever.

We vote - willingly showing the consent of the governed. If our vote is not being truly recorded, then that is absolutely unacceptable. And if we are not going to do something today (since the past has already moved along), then when?

You say what censorship? What massive fraud? What conservative voice blackout?

On those topics, you are just refusing to see, and I can't do the work for you, so I guess I don't have anything else to say here.

Susan,

I am sorry you don't get why I sass you. Just as I am sure that you are sorry that I don't get why you are so purposefully obtuse over the absurdity of it all.

First; There's a difference between a person who moved out of district voting in their old district and the level of fraud being asserted by Trump et al. The Trump Campaign is alleging, without proof, broad and coordinated efforts to deny the President his re-election.

A couple of people bravely declaring they've signed affidavits yet offering up nothing substantial beyond heresay and thin anecdotal accounts isn't proof of the broad, multi-state, multi-jurisdictional, Public and Private effort to get Trump out of office. I've read transcripts on the hearings in Michigan. I've read analysis. I've consumed interviews. What Trump and his Campaign are doing are reprehensible. There's no there, there. There's nothing. They have nothing. He's bluffing that he's got a full house, but his cards are from an Uno deck. I'm sorry you feel this is "somebody going to do something about it". What you're rationalizing as Trump fighting back against a corrupt system is, in actuality, the flailings and ravings of a sore loser.

" It offends you that he is doing it on his behalf instead of on Hillary's..."

No, it doesn't offend me. I was asking you where this belief was back then. Hillary lost. Using your 2020 rationale, she should never have conceded and fought until the Electoral College cast its votes. I was not advocating that she should have done that, I was pointing out the absurdity of this mind-switch you and others of like switched-minds are throwing about in our political discourse. It would have been absurd for Hillary to do what Trump is doing. Because it's absurd. She lost. Just as he has lost this cycle. Instead of bowing out gracefully and with dignity like Hillary Clinton, Trump's conning a significant minority of people into thinking what he is doing is for Democracy's sake. No. What offends me is that a significant portion of my fellow Americans are such sore losers that they are rationalizing away Trump's delegitimization of our entire electoral process. And Cojones? Grow up.

"I think that is a clear illustration of let's call it Presidential Derangement Syndrome...""

Thank Newt Gingrich for that polarization.

"It is interesting to note that part of the cleverness of our Constitution..."

Moon Man talk. This statement is utterly meaningless. Our Constitution is a great foundational document that this Administration has shown to have some glaring weak points in its otherwise wonderful systems of checks and balances. A harmonious mix of personal interest and working for the greater good of the nation? What kind of lunacy is this? You are welcome to back this one up, if you like. Show your work. I've got my copy of the Constitution right here. Where does it express the co-mingling of one's selfish interests with that of our National interests? Show your work.

As for your paragraph on Socialism, 1) Thank you noticing my adult-level ability to form sentences, I appreciate it. All too often my ability to communicate with words and phrases goes unnoticed. 2) You're confusing socialism with something else. Communism maybe? Anarchism? Authoritarianism? I don't know, but you're conflating a lot onto "socialism". So much, that I'm not really going to address this any further. You should probably leave whatever bubble you surround yourself in, and I actually mean this sincerely and without derision, and re-educate yourself on the "theory". Because everything you wrote in that paragraph? It's nonsense. I wouldn't call myself a socialist and I'm a firm believer in aspects of capitalism, so I'm not making this statement as some wild-eyed Bernie Bro or anything.

Finally:

"If our vote is not being truly recorded, then that is absolutely unacceptable."

As every state is certifying the votes and the accuracy of the counts, you should be put at ease. Fortunately, nothing is different about this election cycle than in other election cycles except for 1) There's a pandemic going on and apparently counting mail ballots is a confusing concept for many "conservatives" and 2) Donald Trump. Donald Freaking Trump is exposing your lack of faith in the system of government you espouse to believe in.

One day I hope that sinks in and sounds as pathetic to you as it does to the rest of the reality based citizens watching this unfold before us.
