Yesterday's hearings proved - beyond a fraction of doubt - that Trump knew damned well that he had lost the election fair and square, but that he went on with his attempted coup regardless of the facts. Please bear in mind that virtually all of yesterday's damning testimony came from Republicans - Trump supporters who went to Washington in January of 2017 believing in Donald Trump. A small number of them may be accused of trying to save their own asses but all of them were credible. Donald J. Trump will be remembered in history, primarily, as the first former chief-executive to die in the custody of the federal authorities.
QUESTION: Do I seriously believe that Trump should go to jail?
ANSWER: No.
EXPLANATION: "Jail" is where you go when you've had one-too-many on a Saturday night and you accidentally back your car into the plate glass window of the local pharmacy. Donald Trump needs to go to federal prison for the rest of his life.
So there.
Fifty years from now the president of the United States, whomever he or she will be - whom in all likelihood hasn't even been born yet - will still, on a daily basis, be dealing with the damage that Trump did to his once great nation all of those decades before. What will the future generation of historians say about this generation of Americans who were foolish enough to send a so obviously unqualified a man to the White House? We can't sooth ourselves with the rationalization that at least he lost the popular vote in 2016. That doesn't cut it. It should have been a landslide.
It's not certain if yesterday's hearing will be the last one. If Trump honors the subpoena it will probably be the first time in his life that the old dingbat ever does anything honorable. If he doesn't show up he should be charged with contempt of congress. Either way, the rest of 2022 promises to be mighty interesting.

This statement may be perfectly true - yet it 'proves' nothing, moreover, it says nothing about any number of other experiments that likely take place at this lab.
Regarding one's state of mind, we are Americans and doing something for money changes our perception about it. Consider how we regard hit men vs. serial killers. How many cases of non-hodgkins lymphoma were caused by the rapid increase of glyphosate in Ukraine foodstuff shipped across the world? Now as an offshoot, the risk of nuclear exchange is heightened. (Note, I am not a Putin apologist. He is a fossil fuel oligarch too).
Yea, you might argue that this is good for the economy – particularly if you were a tycoon with holing in these industries, but the bottom line is this lowers the quality of life for most people – and the more rapidly the hazards of climate chaos arrive the sooner more people will be killed (and in the case of glyphosate, already have).
Since the arrival of biotechnology, and the increasing industrialization of food, the wholesomeness and quality has diminished – and who hasn’t noticed that it doesn’t taste as good? In the same time-frame, cancers and other health problems consistently escalate.

Everyone should watch the interview of Francis Boyle who drafted the ‘Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act’ passed in 1989. According to the State Department's grant list, a grant in the amount reported by Fox was awarded to the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano (CEN) on September 23 as part a public diplomacy program.
The grant listing on the USAspending.gov website says that the funds, which began September 30 and will run through to August 31, 2023, will allow the recipient, CEN, to "host 3 workshops, 12 DRAG theater performances, and produce a 2 minute documentary."
It says that the program the funding is tied to aims: "To support the achievement of U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives, advance national interests, and enhance national security by informing and influencing foreign publics and by expanding and strengthening the relationship between the people and government of the United States and citizens of the rest of the world."
CEN has been awarded a total of $57,200 from the federal government over four transactions, which include infrastructure updates to the center, speaker programs and workshops.

The RSC would ax an initiative that allowed schools in very low-income areas to provide free meals to all students.
RSC members also favor converting the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) into a block grant supported by less federal investment. They recommend “rebalancing the federal burden of these support programs down from the average 62 percent to a 50/50 split with the states.”
House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth argues the RSC’s push to reduce federal funding assisting low-income families with children is hypocritical, given the group’s efforts to restrict abortions. “The same people who want to prevent abortion,” he says, “have repeatedly and consistently reduced care for the people who would potentially result from those unwanted pregnancies.”

A new national poll from Summit.org in partnership with McLaughlin and Associates shows that American voters do not support transing kids. A majority also feel that the current transgender craze is not a natural phenomenon. A vast majority of voters, 69% of those with an opinion, attribute the rising rate of transgenderism among minors to undue influence from social media and the culture. Only 31% felt that the increase is due to children feeling more comfortable questioning their gender identity.
Among voters with an opinion, 75% also believe that the transgender movement has gone too far by encouraging underage minors to use drugs and surgery to transition to the opposite sex. The results came out just days after President Biden told trans activist Dylan Mulvaney that no state or individual has the right to stop the medical transition of minors. This is just another issue where Democrats are wildly out of touch with voters because they govern according to Twitter and TikTok.
