It's also a got'cha moment for the people of Newtown. After Donald Trump went to the White House in 2017, the Sandy Hook School Board, knowing of the close association between Jones and Trump, sent the president a letter imploring the president to tell Jones to stop slandering their school and town as he was doing real damage to both. The president never replied.
Alex Jones will soon be gone. So will Donald Trump. Bet the farm on it.

Two nights ago when she conceded her loss in the Wyoming congressional primary (which she lost to a dim-witted and reactionary House Negro named Hariett Hageman) she made what has to be one of the greatest political speeches of my lifetime (I just turned sixty-four on the 16th).
Over a year ago I said on this site that she should be nominated for the Profile in Courage Award that is given away by the Kennedy Library every year. I was delighted when she received the prize for 2022 (not that Caroline reads The Rant - I'm sure it was merely a coincidence). I have hardly ever agreed with her on anything, and I was sincerely alarmed a number of years ago when she announced that she was making a run for congress. My feeling at the time was that no good could come from any kid of Dick Cherey's. But it is hard not to admire her for the way she stood up to the right wing SCREAM MACHINE at a knowing cost to her political career. She is one of the very few Republican politicians currently holding national office who will stand like a rock in history.

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced a settlement with robocalling platform Message Communications Inc. for its role in an illegal robocalling scheme â designed by conspiracy theorists Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman â to prevent Black New Yorkers from voting by mail in the 2020 election.
Message Communications and its president Robert Mahanian were named co-defendants in a voter intimidation lawsuit filed in May 2021 by Attorney General James against Wohl, Burkman, and related entities for threatening Black voters.
âVoting is our most basic democratic right, and we will not allow anyone to threaten that right for any group of people in this country,â said Attorney General James. âThis scheme to intimidate and discourage Black voters in an attempt to sway an election is reprehensible. While states across the country may continue to threaten our democracy, I will always stand up in defense of New Yorkersâ fundamental right to vote.â
The $50,000 settlement, or Consent Decree, announced on August 12, prohibits Message Communications from âknowingly transmitting any robocalls that would intimidate or deter voters from voting by any method in any election.â The Decree also states that Message Defendants must adopt a written policy prohibiting their customers from engaging in voter suppression behavior â providing a copy to potential customers who must agree to the companyâs terms.
After receiving tips from concerned voters who received automated messages discouraging them from voting by mail, the New York Office of the Attorney General launched an investigation into Wohl, Burkman, and their scam company âProject 1599â â which found the duo âviolated state and federal laws by orchestrating robocalls to threaten and harass Black communities.â
Over 5,500 New Yorkers were contacted via Message Communications during the Summer of 2020.

Meta (Facebook) CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the quiet part out loud. He admitted to renowned podcast host Joe Rogan that Facebook censored the Hunter Biden laptop scandal after a general request from the FBI.
Zuckerberg went on Roganâs podcast Aug. 25, and Rogan asked him about how Facebook deals with supposed âmisinformation,â specifically highlighting the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. Big Tech censored the Biden scandal just before the 2020 election, an action which the Media Research Center revealed helped Big Media and Big Tech steal the 2020 election for President Joe Biden. Zuckerberg readily admitted that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had pressured his platform to censor content.
The President has the absolute Constitutional authority to declassify anything he wants for any reason he wants and he doesnât have to get permission from any bureaucrat at the National Archives to do thatâŚso there goes the underlying potential charge for espionage that was in this warrant.
The President has the sole statutory authority to make the determination whether a record is a personal record that belongs to him or a Presidential record that goes to the bureaucrats at the National Archives and almost certainly gets sent back to the President.
Note this is the ruling brought by Obama judge Amy Berman Jackson, the corrupt judge in DC who made this ruling to help the Clintons.
Clinton made audio tapes with historian Taylor Branch during his presidency and for a period of time, they were even kept in his sock drawer.
Branch recorded seventy-nine audiotapes that âpreserved not only President Clintonâs thoughts and commentary on contemporaneous events and issues he was facing as president, but, in some instances, recorded actual events such as presidential telephone conversations.
Judicial Watch sued to have the tapes included in the National Archives.
But U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled there was no provision in the Presidential Records Act to force the National Archives to seize records from a former president. Whatâs interesting about the case is what it says in regard to a presidentâs sweeping power over records.
But Jacksonâs ruling â along with the Justice Departmentâs arguments that preceded it â made some other sweeping declarations that have more direct relevance to the FBIâs decision to seize handwritten notes and files Trump took with him to Mar-a-Lago. The most relevant is that a presidentâs discretion on what are personal vs. official records is far-reaching and solely his, as is his ability to declassify or destroy records at will.
But after protecting Clinton,the government is now going after Trump, with an overly broad warrant suggested they had the right to look for and grab any document made during his presidency. The governmentâs attitude turns on a dime because itâs Trump.
Sure the president has power to de-classify, but NOT in secret, NOT without informing agencies involved, and NOT by waving his hands over dozens of boxes.
And most definitely NOT after leaving office. He does NOT have the power or right to just take US govt. property home.
He STOLE them, and REFUSED to return them after months of patience by the NARA.
Keep squirming on behalf of a criminal and you look like an authoritarian dupe who disrespects the law of the land.
