It's now being said that Trump was hoping that vice-President Pence (along with his wife and daughters) would be killed in the uprising that was happening at that moment in the chambers of the Senate and the House. To his eternal credit, Mike Pense (along with Liz Cheney) turned out to be the handful of heroes of the day. Liz was this year's receiver of the JFK Library's Profile In Courage award. She deserved it. As in Watergate nearly a half century ago. the heroes of the hour who stood up to a criminal president wound up being Republicans. In 1974, Barry Goldwater had a considerable amount of support from within the GOP. In 2022, Liz Cheney has next-to-none. These are interesting times.

Travis Lamar Birkley, 34, was arraigned in a Milwaukee courtroom Sunday on six counts of murder and armed robbery but is only being held on $1 million bail.
A confidential informant told police that Birkley admitted to killing the six people in what he called a “robbery gone bad.” Birkley was a “guard” for drug deals that took place in the duplex home. On Jan. 20, Birkley decided to rob his “employer.” He shot a man and his wife and then killed four others to avoid being identified.

Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) sees what's happening.

The left has a tendency to claim to have (or have seen) evidence of something when they have not. Remember how Adam Schiff claimed he saw evidence of Trump/Russia collusion?
But, aside from that, the January 6 Committee has a credibility problem that cannot be ignored here. First of all, various text messages released by the committee have actually exonerated Trump, but have been falsely characterized as incriminating. In fact, they even doctored text messages to make them look incriminating when they weren’t.

What really happened is Schiff shared the words that clearly showed intent to illegally overturn the election.
No matter how they spin their lies, the fact remains Trump sent a mob he claimed to love, to overturn the election, as his cronies did by other means, including lying about "voter fraud", over 60 fraudulent law suits that melted down before a judge, and even organizing fake and illegal electors.

The "rationale" was total bullshit. None of the crap stood up in a court. The coup was intentional.

For five years, prosecutors claimed, Butina lived with and maintained an intimate relationship with activist and fraudster Paul Erickson. During Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2016, Erickson attempted to develop a back-channel between the NRA and the Russian government. Erickson was jailed and convicted of fraud unrelated to his relationship with Butina, then pardoned by Trump in his last week in office.

A staffer for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign instructed Republicans planning to cast electoral college votes for Trump in Georgia despite Joe Biden’s victory to operate in “complete secrecy,” an email obtained by The Washington Post shows.
“I must ask for your complete discretion in this process,” wrote Robert Sinners, the campaign’s election operations director for Georgia, the day before the 16 Republicans gathered at the Georgia Capitol to sign certificates declaring themselves duly elected.
“Your duties are imperative to ensure the end result — a win in Georgia for President Trump — but will be hampered unless we have complete secrecy and discretion.”
The Dec. 13, 2020, email went on to instruct the electors to tell security guards at the building that they had an appointment with one of two state senators.
“Please, at no point should you mention anything to do with Presidential Electors or speak to the media,” Sinners continued in bold.
