We all need to step up to the plate for Dr. Anthony Fauci. Last night on the Jimmy Kimmel program, Jimmy did just that. He let out a tirade of justified invective against the right-wing junta in congress that spend so much of their taxpayer-funded time in Washington slandering the name of this great and good man. Kimmel only pushed his punches. He stated that he was sick of these "scumbags" (his words - and well chosen) defiling the air of our national political conversation with calumny and misinformation. I speak of the usual suspects: Ted Cruz, Gym Jordan, Ayn Rand Paul, Josh Hawley, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene - and a cast of others too numerous to single out.
Here's something to ponder:
Seventy years after the nasty fact, we have easy access to film clips and newsreels of people like Joe McCarthy waxing idiotic on any subject that might have been relevant in their day - and a whole lot of subjects that were not. How does old Joe look today when juxtaposed against someone like Edward R. Murrow, whom he infamously clashed with in a March 1954 episode of CBS's See It Now? The fact of the matter is that Murrow stands like a virtual Rock of Gibraltar in history while we perceive McCarthy as a blabbering, incoherent clown. That's how Ted Cruz and the rest of them will look in comparison to someone like the esteemed Dr. Fauci in the year 2089. It's a sure bet that their unborn descendants will not be pointing with pride to and bragging about their familial connection to the likes of Teddy Boy or Gym. Historians will not be holding up this era in American history as an example of a time to be proud of. The moon landing it ain't.
Do these idiotic people even have a clue how buffoonish they will appear to future generations with only a smidgeon of 20/20 historical hindsight?
There will be no statues erected to honor the memories of Gym Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Josh Hawley or Ayn Rand Paul - I guarantee it. Somewhere there will be a statue honoring Anthony Fauci, probably in Brooklyn, and possibly on the grounds of the Surgeon General's office. The other horrendous bastards (and one hideous bitch) will be remembered alright, but in the same way we remember Joe McCarthy nearly sixty-five years after his death - as cautionary tales of bombastic idealogues gone awry. Every generation of politicians have people like this; but back in the day, there was only one Joe McCarthy. Today the halls of congress and the senate are literally crawling with hundreds of Joe wannabees. It really is quite disgusting when you think about it.
There will be no Gym Jordan Memorial High School - not in this lifetime or the next. There will be an Anthony Fauci High School before his long life on this planet has ended. Anyone care to make a little wager on this?

Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted during an interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto that he has no clue what to do about the thousands of migrants who have entered the US with COVID.
Cavuto confronted Fauci about how 18 percent of the migrant families coming in are testing positive for the virus.
“We have about 18 percent of the migrant families here, 20 percent of the unaccompanied minors, testing positive for covid,” Cavuto noted. “If you use the figure [of] 20,000, and that’s a loose figure … who have been apprehended, that could be up to 4,000 individuals who have covid. What do we do about that?”
“You know, Neil, I — I don’t have an easy answer for that,” Fauci replied. “I mean, obviously, Title 42 is still operable at the border trying to keep people who should not come in into the country. There is testing that is done. I’m certain it’s not as extensive as we would like to see, but I have to admit, Neil, I don’t have an easy answer. That — that’s a very difficult problem.”
Cavuto asked, “I’m just wondering, though, if those numbers are indeed the case, it would dwarf whatever good we’re trying to do at airports, right? Just looking at the sheer numbers.”
Fauci, bizarelly, went on to claim that omicron is going to spread no matter what measures are taken.
“You know what I think is going to happen that is possibly going to make this a moot point?” he said. “I think, give what we know about the transmissibility and likely transmissibility of Omicron … once it gets in there, it will likely, under the radar, be spreading no matter what you do to keep people out or not.”
His reaction implies that the whole mask and vaccine mandate charade would also be useless.

Poor Fauci had to stand next to a president who did not believe in science and told people to ingest household cleaners to rid themselves of covid. The guy had the balls to stick around taking the flack for Trump. He could have just resigned, but he knew the country needed someone like him to guide us through the pandemic. Mistakes, sure, but be glad we had him around. I think vaccines and masks were good advice. Proven by the fact that 99% of those still catching the virus are un-vaccinated. The guy has been in the business for 40 years and has guided us through more than one killer virus. If you want to call him a clown, then don't follow his advice and I will bring flowers to your funeral.

Asking Mofart to answer a serious question is a waste of your time. I'm just surprised that he would support a vaccine developed while Trump was President.
As to your position that the vaccine is dangerous, I think it is too early to tell it's long term effects. You provide links and sources to support your belief, thank you for that, I think we will know the effects 5 to 10 years from now...either it will be too late or there was nothing to worry about.
If those bad side effects are being reported how can you call them hidden? Fauci has not denied that some have suffered bad side effects from the vaccine, nor has the CDC.
I don't believe in mandated vaccinations, but I do believe people and corporations have the right to not allow those not vaccinated to deny entrance to their activities, especially given that 99% of those still catching the virus are un-vaccinated.

Ivermectin is one of only a very few drugs approved for use by pregnant women. It appears to be working in Africa. But anyway since it is not harmful why the push to vilify it?
