A Belated Holiday Greeting
In the nearly fifteen years I've been writing this blog, I have always composed a special message at Christmas. Even during the darkest days of Dubya (whom I miss. Somebody shoot me please) I've always been able to come up with something positive to put you in the Christmas spirit. Not so in 2020. This year has been such a complete drag that, to be perfectly honest with you, I was too depressed to write anything. I'm sure that won't be the case next year, God willing. At high noon in twenty-four days, there will be a new president residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and Donald Trump will be on his way to grim and bitter exile to pack his belongings for Leavenworth.
The very fact that this "president" is attempting to overthrow the will of the American people is too sickening for discussion. Just when one thinks he has accepted the inevitable, the silly bastard drops a hint that he will be commander-and-chief for the next four years and beyond. He is trying to make "the base" believe that the election was stolen and that all of the mail-in ballots that went to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were fraudulent. The fact of the matter is that the total for Biden would have been even greater than it was had Postmaster General Louis DeJoy (at Trump's orders, no doubt) not junked thousands of post boxes in minority neighborhoods all across the land. This very act alone should send both men to the federal slammer for a very, very long time.
Yeah, 2020 was a drag alright. The thing that amazes me more than anything is that, had the COVID-19 pandemic not reared its ugly head, the Donald probably would have been re-elected! Yesterday the number of deaths in a single day reached an all-time record: over three-thousand. It's almost certain that a majority of those dead were lulled into thinking that the virus was no big deal. The culprits behind that thinking - more than anyone else - are Donald Trump and Fox Noise. There should be a class action lawsuit brought by every family in America who lost a loved one (or more) against Rupert Murdoch's entire media empire to place it out of business forever. I miss the good old days when they were only a danger to the nation's civic awareness. They've become a danger to human life. The entire organization needs to be shut down once and for all. Murdoch's citizenship should be revoked. Deport the old geezer back to Australia.
As this horrible year ends I have nothing warm and fuzzy to offer you. Sorry about that, folks. This has been the worst year it has ever been my extreme displeasure to witness - and I'm old enough to remember 1968! Compared to 2020, '68 was lollipops and roses.
So hang in there, boys and girls. The next twenty-four days will see us in for the ride of our lives. Some of it will be stomach-churning, some of it will be mind-blowing - yes, some of it will even be horrifying. But at least it won't be boring! That's the only bright side of living in Donald Trump's America.

Senate Investigation Finds Obama Admin Knowingly Funded al-Qaeda Affiliate
Non-profit humanitarian agency World Vision United States improperly transacted with the Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA) in 2014 with approval from the Obama administration, sending government funds to an organization that had been sanctioned over its ties to terrorism, according to a new report.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) recently released a report detailing the findings of an investigation his staff began in February 2019 into the relationship between World Vision and ISRA.
The probe found that World Vision was not aware that ISRA had been sanctioned by the U.S. since 2004 after funneling roughly $5 million to Maktab al-Khidamat, the predecessor to Al-Qaeda controlled by Osama Bid Laden.
However, that ignorance was born from insufficient vetting practices, the report said.
“World Vision works to help people in need across the world, and that work is admirable,” Grassley said in a statement. “Though it may not have known that ISRA was on the sanctions list or that it was listed because of its affiliation with terrorism, it should have. Ignorance can’t suffice as an excuse. World Vision’s changes in vetting practices are a good first step, and I look forward to its continued progress.”
The investigation was sparked by a July 2018 National Review article in which Sam Westrop, the director of the Middle East Forum’s Islamist Watch, detailed MEF’s findings that the Obama administration had approved a “$200,000 grant of taxpayer money to ISRA.”
Government officials specifically authorized the release of “at least $115,000” of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization, Westrop wrote.
“Moreover, although we find no reason to doubt World Vision’s assertion that the funds in their entirety were used by ISRA for humanitarian purposes, that money inevitably aids their terrorist activities,” it concludes.

I understand your confusion, JTF. When I use the word 'we' or 'we've' or 'we have', it's the general we. Us. All of us. Society. Not 'We' vs 'You'. I am not sure why you immediately defaulted to Us vs Them, but I'm sorry you feel the need to keep treating politics like Sportsball.
